Love the caption on men posed on skyscraper under construction. "Another example of NOPE." 😅 My sentiments exactly! These are so interesting. Such good photos but never seen before. Thanks!
@@oldbones3092 Surprisingly I have about the equal amount of comments suggesting they are too small as to too big. It's impossible to please everyone so I just went with the default setting in the program I use.
Another frascinating collection, Mark. The photo of The World Trade Center window cleaners in 1979 😲😲😲 Thank you again for the gorgeous background music, as always. ❤❤❤
Thank you for your continued support and appreciation for my music. Yes the WTC one gets to me in the same was a s the high-rise ironworkers ... I'm not very good with heights !
Absolutely love that photo too. Real emotions. You can see the simple love and connection between a father and son, regardless of the generation. They didn't' have the luxuries we have today, but in this moment in time they seem pretty darn happy.
stunning and amazing. but im wondering why a few railway stations got demolished, they looked like they were built to last hundreds of years, that Pensylvania one was massive
Progress, I guess ! ... But, I totally agree with you. They were not only built well but were like pieces of art. The architecture was incredible. Such a shame to tear them down.
My father told me years ago that growing up in the country in Canada and I've read many other accounts from the US that shoes were reserved for certain occasions. The less well off children had shoes but wore them only for school ( my dad said they would walk barefoot to school and only put the shoes on when they got there) or church or perhaps a social gathering. This way they were in good shape to be passed on when they were outgrown. Not sure what they did in winter lol. So I'm not sure if the fact the children are not wearing shoes is all the unusual
Progress ? ... I guess ... But, I agree 100% ... they were works of art. Every step forward we take in comfort, we seem to take two steps back in beauty.
Thank you for sharing love the videos
You are so welcome. Thanks for watching !

lol ... I'm terrified of heights and those photos actually make me dizzy just looking at them !!! Glad you enjoyed the collection.
Fascinating collection. I really appreciate the captions and titles of each photo. Well done!
Many thanks! Appreciate the feedback.
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos Yes, the captions are helpful, but do they have to be so big?

A slick pic to end the video! Keep up the amazing work that you do!
Thanks so much David ! I thought I'd try something different at the end ... Thanks for noticing.
That father and son picture from 1910 (3.41). A moment of pure joy from over a century ago.

Awesome 👌
Thanks 🤗
How sad to see all those wonderful buildings torn down and probably replaced by chrome and glass boxes there were not half as well built.
Progress ... supposedly !
Liked the kid going skating. Also, liked through father and son
Father and son is one of my favs when i made this collection. So real.

I loved these. The Irish family eating potatoes and milk made me sad, no shoes on the kiddies' feet 😢
I noticed that as well. No shoes on the children's feet.
😢

excellent
Thank you !
Wonderful compilation. Next time you make a similar video, you could include the picture of a Bosnian soldier crying at a tree
I am familiar with that photo .... it's very powerful.
The wheels of the bicycles look so big you wonder how they even msnaged to climb up onto them
.... with much assistance, one would imagine !
Those railway stations were magnificent buildings. why demolish them?

Every new building now is cheap and ugly .

@0:22, Why were their heads shaved like that? Was it some sort of initiation thing?
A worm vending machine I've never heard of that one before
Me neither ... But, I guess when a man needs to fish ... a man needs to fish.
I remember them into the 1960's.
The only worms I like are gummy worms!
The woman riding the gator at LA Memorial Coliseum is from 1931 when the University of Florida played the Bruins of UCLA.
What did they actually call selfies before they were known as selfies
Me-ies ?
😮😅😢❤❣️
In today's money that $895 would be $10, 892
If I am reincarnated I hope I go backwards in time. That way I will die in 1959, the year I was born. the future looks too boring.
Nice picture but staged what's the chances of someone greeting somebody after a long time absence and there 's a photographer there!
Extremely high .... it was kind of a a big deal ... especially when family members surprise their loved ones.
Photographers could have been following the soldiers as they returned.
