Thank you so much for the kind words and constructive feedback. It’s such a grey area. But, I’ve turned down several photos just for that reason. If I do include one that’s close to the line then I’ve found the poignancy outweighs the risk of sensationalism. It’s almost impossible to get it right for everyone but I try :)
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos ''I’ve found the poignancy outweighs the risk of sensationalism''... it's so well put and your high sensitivity transpires from your work. In my previous comments, I had forgotten to mention that I appreciate very much your taking time to kindly answer all comments. And I just love ''refined language'', so I love your answers even more:-) By the way, I'm french speaking and use English only for Internet, so I'm never quite sure that I say things right, haha. Have a nice day!
@@ginettemorin2 You are very kind. The interaction with fellow history lovers is the main reason I do this. Your English language is outstanding. I took 5 years of French in high school and college. Also had two french speaking girlfriends and got to converse every day. But, that was quite a while ago. It's been so long now that I have almost reverted to being illiterate ...lol
@@AmazingHistoricalPhotos Oh I would say I'm more of a Beauty than of a history lover and the photos you share have such beauty in different aspects. I have a hard time ''remembering'' what I learn about history even though I would have much interest, so I kind of lose interest in the long run:-) French is a very ''complicated'' language, I must say. Thank you for you compliment on my English:-) and I'm looking forward to watching your next ''artistic photographs''.
There are varying reports. Yours is the wikipedia version but there are several contemporary reports stating that Waddy's was shot down while escorting his friends stricken B-29 which had been badly damaged in a kamikaze attack. Guess we'll never know for sure.

Thank you for sharing these amazing photos.
Thank you for watching and for the lovely feedback.
Wonderful stuff. Thank you.
Thank you too for watching!
Church bells being melted down for munitions. Young men about to be killed by metal that once sounded wedding celebrations.
Indeed, poignant and horrible at the same time.
This weeks typo: The Teddy Roosevelt photo (The first in this collection) was taken in 1877 … and not 1977 as shows. 🤦♂
I love your channel 😊
Thank you, that’s great to hear. Love having you with us.
Extraordinary as always, with some photos almost unbelievable. Very moving and I appreciate that your collection never includes sensationalist photos.
In total agreement!

Kids playing outside unfortunately there's not enough of that happening on todays world they really are missing out on an awful lot
I throw one of these in regularly just to remind us all of that.
Think the teddy Roosevelt date may be a little out 😂😂😂
Should be 1877 but I like to throw in one typo every week to make sure you are all paying attention ! … That’s my story and I’m sticking to it 😃
You will need to recheck the Theodore Rossevelt photo again because 1977 definitely isn't accurate

Wow 5:10
Stilt volleyball? Really?
My guess is there’s not a lot of diving … spiking on the other hand, now appears easy.
1:29 Waddy's Wagon wasn't shot down.
Waddy flew the B-29 into another B-29 and both 29's crashed and no one survived.

The date regarding Teddy Roosevelt is wrong

Bring back the Firebird concept car
I'd buy that tomorrow !
i had a pet rock
Teddy Roosevelt 1977?? Really??
1877 … a typo which has been noted in the description and comments … too late to fix unfortunately.
