I cannot find vanilla syrup in my country , France LOL, cannot find Monin . So I did it ! Tasted really nice
this is fun to make. but literally it takes 15 seconds to do this each time you make coffee- just add 1 tbsp of sugar to your glass (same one you'll drink the coffee in!) pour in little vanilla extract and boiling water, whisk with an ikea-whisk. Done, perfect vanilla syrup. Top with the ice, milk and coffee! All in one glass.

No. It's literally not the same thing flavour wise.

Caramel coloring is really bad for you and if you notice most store bought syrups have it
@meltrio2436 homemade caramel doesn't have "caramel" flavoring. It is literally caramelized sugar.

Hi, there is no need to refrigerate. Sugar has a natural preservative.
Every time I make this, the sugar gets stuck to the bottom and I’ve tried to make it like three times

My sugar became solid. Explanation should be more detailed such as hoe long to cook what temp, color, what can go wrong etc

You may reheat and add a bit of water. You do not need to throw away. I think you might have over simmered your sugar...

This recipe sucks! Came out like hard caramel candy and I measured all the ingredients exactly (Not off by a gram)

halo, saya sudah mencoba resep anda dengan bahan bahan seperti yang anda perlihatkan. kecuali vanilla yang saya pakai adalah ekstrak vanilla lokal yang menggunakan pelarut gliserin. setelah sirup saya jadi mengapa setelah dua hari sirup saya malah membeku? apakah hal itu karna ekstrak vanilla yang mengandung gliserin?
If I want to substitute Sugar with Splenda or other things like that, how much should I do because I dint think it's 1:1 ratio
I have not tried but you might wish to try 1:1 or less then see how it goes
