You've really come a long way over the years Thub, less introverted and more extroverted, really cool... I was once extremely introverted but nowadays I am very much the opposite, some tend to think from time to time that I'm arrogant but I am just self aware and confident. Your channel content in 2021 is better than these former years too. Nice job, keep doing this thing... I mean the thing...
As I said yesterday on another vid. Nice to see a scrapper that can edit. That with the humor made your vids worth the sub compared to many other scrappers that document. Thanks for the info/inspiration.
Good job and a lot of hard work too. I like how you recycled the refrigerator responsibly, by draining the freon, also be careful with those light ballasts, as the older ones have PCB inside, so it's better to leave them undisturbed. This was the most important tip I have ever received from "Moose Scrapper" on RUclips and to this day I keep reminding myself. This was my comment I left on one of his videos: Your statement that "scraping is the least amount of money you will get for something", can never be stated enough, because we all tend to forget that. It would be cool if there were a website that let you enter an item and then tells you the real value of all the parts, whether it be selling online or at yard sales. It's so easy to overlook an items potential value, other than the base material something is made of. I keep reminding myself of your statement and it has made me stop to really look at the potential value, rather than look at something for the scrap value only. What I would love to have is a website that say.... lets you enter "Samsung LCD TV" model #12345 and then in seconds, lists all the boards, stand, and any other part values, without searching through sold lists and could also list things better sold off line. It would be most useful for things you would never think has value, like the brushes at the bottom of a vacuum, microwave glass trays, or any odd part people need. There could also be a "top 100" list that has all the most popular/searched parts people are buying , so you would make sure to seek them, as they would tend to sell very quickly.
Yeah, those light ballasts I don't even bother with anymore because I just get so little for them, It's like 5c per pound. NOT worth my time. Cool thought for a website though, I'd love to be a part of that project! Otherwise just let me know when you need some beta testers ;)
Thanks Ninja! I think I get a little better at editing each time. The quieter song is from the soundtrack to a mobile game- "Nameless: The Hackers RPG" itunes.apple.com/ca/app/nameless-the-hackers-rpg/id572128073?mt=8
You're a awesome person. I could tell when you put the television back together when you removed the components you wanted instead of just kicking the pieces back against the wall.
Good haul man, not a whole hell of a lot but still worth it. Like the work on this video. Smooth, presice editing. Nice choice in music too buddy, lol.
The muffin idea was clever... We normally place the tire on the ground and drive onto it with our work truck to break the bead then go old-school with the tire iron.
+A & J's Removal Services LLC yeah, I've heard plenty of folks are able to do them themselves, I guess I need the proper tools. And maybe a good teacher!
I had about 10 bags of pop bottles from before Alberta changed the recycling amounts and when I turned them in basically doubled my money. I honestly don't understand why people throw out cans!
+Tim Kincaid yep. I don't know if it's worth it though, I did the math at the end of a previous vid if you're curious how much you earn per hour snipping bulbs: m.ruclips.net/video/epHCGZcUilI/видео.html
really funny how now you frown on people who cut wires and leave stuff when you were fully gutting it and leaving it lol no criticism though, just a nice improvement.
Just drive around any neighborhood on garbage day and you'll find similar findings. Dumpsters behind the projects where the welfare queens dump the shit they bought instead of food is also an amazing place to scrounge too. Also check the local craigslist and you'll find tons of shit for free just waiting to be picked up. Some of it's garbage but you can get a ton of meltable metal off of other people's junk.
+Blue 414 hey thanks Blue! I started just to help pay my way through school, and watched a bunch of videos from moose scrapper and 3wheelsbetter to help me save time. The bottles were an experiment just to make a video. Then I realized I might be able to get by if I combined the two, and now every day has become an extension of that experiment. So we'll see how it turns out! Hopefully really well, haha ;)
Crazy you watched the same damn folks I was. If ya have a chance check out scraping for a darts channel. Taught me so much about escraping. I see at times your leaving money in the dumpsters. That is if you wanted to breakdown some electronics. Also take a look at the buyes section of the scrapmetalforum.com good info there to. Keep it up man. Love your channel
i laught so much watching it ...i did the same shit has you did with the the tire rims the muffin trick and it works too i did it before i watched youre vid anyway like it
I love your vids Thub but sometimes the music over powers your words. Hard to hear. Just subbed 2 days ago and have watched nearly all your vids in a marathon. awesome!!
Waaayyy back in the day, lol! It’s funny looking back, scrap feels like it’s been my whole life but I basically started scrapping and RUclips at the same time
Tell me about it. People over here complain that the 96 gallon recycling bins are too big, they only fill up 3/4 or whatever. Then comes heavy trash and 5/6 of those people set out giant piles of pure cardboard...... Its so sad....
Despite the insane murmurings of the educated[sic], freon(chlorofluorocarbons) is not, I repeat, NOT damaging to the environment! You need a truck. You're leaving lots of metal behind. I cannot stand people who use a hammer and cutters to remove the copper from TV's and leave the plastic cabinet sitting on the curb.

and also 4:42 to 4:51 I love how you reassemble that TV so the owner wouldn't know someones been snooping through their garbage lol.

Wow you do a great job!! I'd be cleaning up the area at the same time lol. Wear myself out. Keep up the good work!!
Was just in the mood for some Classic Thub >_< 😍
I live in chestermere and use to go to recon, do you find westcan better? If so that would be great, it’s a lot closer.
So how many combined hours would you say you worked? And about how much gas do you think you used?
I had about 10 bags of pop bottles from before Alberta changed the recycling amounts and when I turned them in basically doubled my money. I honestly don't understand why people throw out cans!
I liked the humor in this blog.
Calling bullshit on the fridge haha haha
did you file a workman comp claim for that cut?
That's Real Scrapping And Picking right there!! Good Video Man
Thanks buddy! I need to get my repair game up on your level though, everything is worth more if it works.
Your beard is epic in this one!!! 🧔🏻♀️
😆 some vintage stuff right there! Sometimes I miss the beard but it’s less marketable
christmas wire,i used to take that apart.but its time consuming.so i sell it as is.worth half as much but time saving.
congradulations on your first thousand.
+donkey dog 7 thx!
You need a pickup all that l shredder stock your leaving behind is making me crazy idk how much it is there but its 6.50 per 100lbs in Jersey
my favorite video
What do you do with the bottles?
so after cutting off the xmas bulbs, what do they call the wire? #2 insulated?
+Tim Kincaid yep. I don't know if it's worth it though, I did the math at the end of a previous vid if you're curious how much you earn per hour snipping bulbs: m.ruclips.net/video/epHCGZcUilI/видео.html
Must be nice! There are only two recyclers in this area and wed be lucky to get half that...they claim got to truck to atlanta...
Couldn't have been *that* hungry going to all those spots over hours. But point/lesson taken. (seemed like you had extra tools along with ya)
In desc it says he bought xbox cards
Sad to see you toss out that steel for the landfill to consume but hey ill give you some credit because at least ur saving some metal.
What do you take bottles for?
there worth money
Awesome video.
thanks man!
Do you get paid per bottle or by total weight
+mikey george per bottle, 10c for the small ones and 25c for the ones over 1L
You dont pick up and sell the steel itself? Probably another $30 worth that you left behind
I wish! Steel was less that 100/ton last I checked. I filled my car with it and got $6. I won't be doing steel unless I find a truck with a trailer.
Scrap your car and buy a pickup truck!
Eventually, I'll probably have to. I bet she's worth a couple hundred by weight!
Good job
Shared this Video 👍🏼
Gloves on bro!

Do you worry at all about being electrocuted when you take apart a television. I'd worry just cause you don't know the last time it was plugged in.
Your cool dude
Good meeting you tonite dude, Good channel! I need to try westcan.
+Mentalpatience Mp thanks man! I'm a big fan of empire metals these days, they're a smaller operation but I'm really happy with their prices.
R U in L.A. brotha? Those cans look familiar lol!!!! Nice HUSTLE! Keep pumpin'!
My bad Canada-I'm such a hoser lol!!!!!!!
Jeeze, where does he live that people throw away so much stuff onto the street like that.
i think he stole the BBQ
Calgary Alberta, land of big oil money and the beef industry.

I love your vids Thub but sometimes the music over powers your words. Hard to hear. Just subbed 2 days ago and have watched nearly all your vids in a marathon. awesome!!
So you start from here
Waaayyy back in the day, lol! It’s funny looking back, scrap feels like it’s been my whole life but I basically started scrapping and RUclips at the same time
I've been leaving a bed frame out so that a scrapper can take it but no one has.
I wish they paid for glass here
Why would they not recycle it?
Tell me about it. People over here complain that the 96 gallon recycling bins are too big, they only fill up 3/4 or whatever.
Then comes heavy trash and 5/6 of those people set out giant piles of pure cardboard......
Its so sad....
score

Maybe he is broke with those cracks on his windscreen. Here driving with those cracks is illegal.
ALWAYS ASK BEFORE YOU TAKE, unless its off the persons property!!
ABSOLUTELY. I ought to stress this point more.
I'm so shitty at scrapping
takes a lot of time and effort bud, but you need to be in the right area too
You need a truck man.
Hit me up lets go lol
sounds like a time :D
Please wear gloves!!!
