Just gonna make a big chat bc of spoilers There’s NO way Allen’s dead in the show. In the comics he took a bit to heal, then came out insanely strong, as strong as or even stronger than a viltrumite. My only guess is that in the show Thaedus turned off the machine in hopes of making Allen’s body heal and grow stronger on its own
Spoiler: Thaedeus put Allen’s life support low so he could become stronger. Basically The super soldier program that was made to create allen was indeed successful and it gave allen the unique ability to become stronger the closer he is to death. He lowered his life support so allen could stay in a state that was near death so when he did heal he’d get an immense power boost.

A few answers to questions that might be popping up in minds of those who haven't gone through the comics : (contains spoilers) 1. The reason why Thraxans elected Omni Man as their leader is because they elect their leader based upon the age and if u see why, this makes sense. Imagine a species where everyone lives for like 9 months or something, and if someone among them gets to be 10 months old, he would have considerably more knowledge. Once Omni-Man gained their trust, he became their king. 2. The reason why Nolan called him is because he has a son from a Thraxan wife, and he wants to save him from the Viltrumites, and he knows that they will find Nolan and his people soon. 3. The reason why Thaedus lowered the machine that was healing Allen is because he knows that Allen wasn't really a failed experiment as the rest think. Allen has an ability that basically whenever he is very close to his death, his ability (from the experiments on him) kicks in and basically makes him exponentially more stronger than he was before. By lowering his healing, Thaedus is basically allowing him to reach to that point hoping that the ability kicks in. The reason why he says "I'm sorry Allen" is because he is prolonging his healing ans therefore prolonging his suffering as a injured person.
Did anyone notice when one of the Viltrumites asked Allen telepathically if Omni-Man sired an "heir". That went over my head at first when I watched the episode but its great foreshadowing if i believe its going where i think its going if the show is following the comic storyline.
Ngl i was suspicious of Thadeus but i was also fooled bcuz its Peter Cullen! Its Optimus fucking Prime and I was so sad to see him betray Allen like that.
Seance Dog, was actually the comic that Mark introduced to Amber in Season One and I believe that was the comic he was reading while on the toilet in the first episode of the series.
Are you sure you've seen this show before? Mark graduated last episode. So this episode is about 2 months later. Graduation in June. College in August/September. Mark was reading a Seance Dog comic the first time we saw him. He told Amber about him on there first date.
I didn't immediately recognize Peter Cullen's voice, I thought it was Keith Ferguson, specifically "Lord Saladin" Keith Ferguson. But once I heard the voice more, I realized.
Thaedus was not killing Allen, he was helping him. Alan gets sort of a zenkai boost from dbz, everytime he heals from a near death experience. He gets stronger.
The fact that the thumbnail is the reaction to the end of the episode is exactly why a) this was a great episode and b) Greg is a mastermind seeing that and using it proper.
Ay we gotta pay respects to Peter Cullen ny at least referring to him by his actual name instead of just Optimus Prime! And im saying this as a massive Transformers fan, but that kind of stuff usually only happens with va's but always feels weird to do to one thats so immensely talented and influential like Peter Cullen
When Allen is getting curbstomped, I really felt for everyone on that station. Imagine watching an oppressor, and there's nothing, absolutely nothing, you can do to stop what's going on. (parallels abound through history and modern day) man
Many years ago, after watching Super Troopers with some friends and then all of us subsequently being over-served at the neighborhood bar, one of my friends challenged me to a syrup chugging duel. Upon accepting the challenge, we set upon the nearest CVS to pick up a couple bottles of Log Cabin. The main event took place in the parking lot and after downing 2/3 of the bottle, I learned just how violently my stomach could reverse Uno card said syrup. One of the witnesses remarked, "Too bad he didn't have any pancakes to go with all that syrup", and Danny Pancakes was born. So yeah, I have an origin story. PS: My accountant appreciates you mathing the hell out of what's needed for me to hit $2k.
Since we saw that it was the anniversary of the mark and omniman fight right at summer vacation and we skipped summer vacation and went right to college I think that's about 1 year and 2 months since he fought his dad.
You guys need to read the comics. Omni man has a new wife and son on bug world !! Unless you’re purposely not reading cause of the show? But it doesn’t follow exactly but close enough! Great comic run!

Man this show is a trip and a half for the comic readers… damn near everything is Straight from it 🤣 the Allen issues are some of my favorite reads and this was a perfect homage to those
Also having read the comics, the creators of the show are still making it in a way where the comic book readers are thrown in for some surprises with the pacing and some of the character plots.
You see, I knew the other sus guy on council was a red herring and the actual mole was Thaddeus also once we landed on Thraxa then instantly knew there was something fishy and when he said the Monarch it being Nolan was kind of predictable I haven’t read the comics at all
@@Dr.HooWhoit was kinda easy to put together, with the bug calling him Invincible and Mark Grayson without Mark telling him his name. Pretty sure at this point Allen and Omni-Man are the only ones in space that actually know these names. Plus when they landed on the planet it was super obvious that Mark was lied to, so the Monarch could've only been Nolan. I didn't read the comics either but it was really easy to pick up on, Greg even asked if it was Omni-Man before the face reveal.
The fact he deceived Mark by using his child hood hero to lure him to the planet.. I feel like it's not a good sign? But maybe he was just being cautious.

By lowering his healing, Thaedus is basically allowing him to reach to that point hoping that the ability kicks in. The reason why he says "I'm sorry Allen" is because he is prolonging his healing ans therefore prolonging his suffering as a injured person.
This episode is a fckn banger
Wow, sh*t turns real. Also, please react Monarch: Legacy of Monsters this Friday!
I had the EXACT reaction when the Vilt gang punched Allen to fkn PIECES. WOOOOOF
He gets stronger.
hearing peter cullen i couldnt help but imagine thaedus as prime in human form
The fact that the thumbnail is the reaction to the end of the episode is exactly why a) this was a great episode and b) Greg is a mastermind seeing that and using it proper.
Ay we gotta pay respects to Peter Cullen ny at least referring to him by his actual name instead of just Optimus Prime! And im saying this as a massive Transformers fan, but that kind of stuff usually only happens with va's but always feels weird to do to one thats so immensely talented and influential like Peter Cullen
They are doing the comic justice after this episode holy smokes
When Allen is getting curbstomped, I really felt for everyone on that station. Imagine watching an oppressor, and there's nothing, absolutely nothing, you can do to stop what's going on.
(parallels abound through history and modern day)
man
That Thadeus guy looks exactly like a Viltrumite. How did Allen not know that😂
I almost never comment, and the crazy thing is not even gonna be about the reaction. The Danny Pancake math at the end was hilarious. Jajaja
THIS EPISODE WAS SOOOOOO WELL MADE OMGGGGGG WHEN I SAW THE DOG I WAS LIEIK OMFG ITS HAPPENINGGGGGGGGG
The “that was such a long post credit scene” made me almost spit out my drink 😂😂
Wow... i love Thaedus and his magnificent beard...
Since we saw that it was the anniversary of the mark and omniman fight right at summer vacation and we skipped summer vacation and went right to college I think that's about 1 year and 2 months since he fought his dad.
I wonder if Thaedus was warning Allen so he'd be prepared for the viltrumites. If he was hoping that it would keep him ready and from getting killed.
I've read the comics so as soon as I saw the Thraxan I lost my mind. I knew what that meant I just didn't think it would happen in this episode
The narrator is Philly’s own Paul F. Tompkins
There was a show in 90's. I dont remember the shows name but the character was alien and his name was Allen...the alien too.
Your reaction to Allen “seemingly dying” was EXACTLY MINE
When Omni Man said, “Hello, son,” I yelled, “NO!!” and threw my remote 😳🤬🤣
The music coupled with how Nolan talks to Mark after seeing him again makes feel so happy I don't know why
I’m dead 🤣🤣 “did that bitch just hung up” 💀💀
As someone who read the comics, the moment i heard the bug guy say "thraxa" i knew what was coming
as soon as i saw the bug people, i was asking "wait....am i crazy??" and then when i saw the Palace i was like "IT'S HAPPENING?????"
You guys need to read the comics. Omni man has a new wife and son on bug world !! Unless you’re purposely not reading cause of the show? But it doesn’t follow exactly but close enough! Great comic run!
I just finished watching episode 3, It's a whole different point of view than I expected. After his fight with his father...I thought that they're not gonna meet again, but it happened so soon. Can't wait to see more detail.
You see, I knew the other sus guy on council was a red herring and the actual mole was Thaddeus also once we landed on Thraxa then instantly knew there was something fishy and when he said the Monarch it being Nolan was kind of predictable I haven’t read the comics at all
Well, since you haven’t read the comics at all, you are in for a surprise for next weeks episode is going to be fire
@@austinwallett5140chillllllll
Eh i didht know it was nolan, thats just you
@@Dr.HooWhoit was kinda easy to put together, with the bug calling him Invincible and Mark Grayson without Mark telling him his name.
I just love the way he says "Hello son."
Not Greg and Aaron forgetting that you only have a summer (2 months) off between graduation and fall of freshman year of college
First look at Thaedus and I'm like, he's a bad guy. Looks like a former Viltrumite
The fact he deceived Mark by using his child hood hero to lure him to the planet.. I feel like it's not a good sign? But maybe he was just being cautious.
