Looks amazing, I think you should leave that big plant on the left, it creates balance between the waterfall and the other size, it also creates a light gradient allowing animals to hide in the shade, large strong leaves for frogs or lizards to hide underneath, just an idea.
@@TheDarkDen Replace it with something that maxes out at a similar size to what that thing is now that can also fill the same ecological and aesthetic role. something like a japanese painted fern or something.
Your junglearium is beautiful! You can prime your water feature by taking dirty filter material from your established aquarium and swish in your jungalarium water. Also a black sponge on your intake pipe will not only increase filtration and proper bio load and prevent destruction of tiny inhabitants ( fry/shrimplets), but provide a food source for these and will prevent your pipe from clogging (debris will soon plug your screen). I really like that big plant, puts the "jungle" in your junglearium. Can't wait to see the variety of animals you add.
I think antscanada might be coming for the spot of biggest enclosure on RUclips. But not sure if he’s doing it by himself though. But so happy to see this finally come to fruition
Fantastic job! I am proud of you! It took a LOT to plan, build, purcha$e everything AND to do so with everyone watching! What a HUGE accomplishment! Thank you for always welcoming us into your home to see all the wonderful things you do! Thanks and praise from Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️
Another alocasia could replace your alocasia zebrina; alocasia “little dancers”, Alocasia reginula ‘Black Velvet’, Alocasia rugosa ‘Melo’,.. a larger Philodendron could be a better option. Cause it will be “bush-like” some cool phillys; P. Burle marx, P. Pink princess, P. Gloriosum, P. Verrucosum, P. Florida ghost/Florida beauty! Can’t wait to see more from the jungle!
I've been so stoked for you to get this up and running! All your hard work paid off; the junglearium is beyond zoo quality. It's incredible and I hope you feel proud because you absolutely should. Absolutely badass!
Petko bro we are all proud of you, we followed every step of jungalarium and we know how much effort you put in, we appreciate you kind regards and congratulations
The Alocasia Zebrina(giant plant) wont get much taller but the leaves will get huuuuge! It will pop out little baby plants at the base if its happy enough. Those baby plants would be brilliant for creating shade as they grow up into big plants like their mama!
Awesome!, glad it got finished. now antcanada is also doing a one big ecosystem enclosure for his ant and other small animal. So happy that my two favorite youtuber are doing/finished a big ecosystem project.
I would not remove the large plant to the left. Its one of the few things that actually makes it look like a jungle. A true jungle is very dark from all of the shade from the trees and most animals prefer shade over bright light. I have been in the Amazon rainforest for 3 weeks to explore spiders with just 1 friend and 1 guide and pretty much nowhere do you see a setup like yours. The only "open" areas are along the river banks and there you dont see the diversity in plants you are displaying, because they all get washed away in the rain season. But ofc if its annoying you, then move it. Also i would find a solution to hide those black walls on the side of the inclosure. Simple cork bark and be cut out to fit and before you stick it to the sides, you take a normal screw driver and drag long lines from top to bottom and 1-2cm into the cork bark. This way it will look like tree bark and plants will love it for climbing. Same with animals.
Super cool! It’s awesome to see how much you’ve got done on it. I hope you get floating plants before introducing the frogs because dart frogs are known to drown easily
absolutely mad i used to watch you back when you kept your hairy friends in your house and did unboxings on your living room coffee table. Glad ive been here for journey, the Junglearium is insane and looks amazing.
Hey petko, before you put geckos etc in there you might want to put a heat guard on your basking light, and maybe all the lights as yhey will be able to get everywhere, wouldn't want anyone getting burnt. It's looking absolutely awesome, looking forward to seeing it truly come to life with all the animals going in.
As a heads up, Ants Canada is making a 1200 gallon vivarium that he intends to be an enclosed Asian rain forest ecosystem. Not sure the volume of yours, and he does have a construction crew to help him, but yeah.
Hold on my friend a screen inside the pipe will plug with debris and cause an overflow issue you need a sponge over a pipe that has many holes or slits in the pipe sides. This will not clog up like the screen insert. Great job, now you just need to do the same in your shower just use orchids that have an amazing scent, lol
The moisture on the leaf after you finished the tedious work for an hour compared to before haha Lookin good :) Really enjoying your videos still! :) Thank you
The gravel and media won't have the nitrafiying bacteria without a ammonia source to kick start it. You can add fish food or buy a nitrafiying bacteria in a bottle( which will allow you to add fish etc right away)
i love Petko's little quirk of misuse of English. soooo just to help again, my good man. also, including time stamps in case you want to go back. 1. 0:58 it's not "the RUclips" you can just say "on RUclips" 2. 2:06 it should be "but what i didn't tell you. not "what i didn't told you" since you're already saying "didn't" to mark the past tense, it's not necessary to make every following verb in the past tense as well. 3. 3:16 it's "sunset" not "sunfall," but i can certainly see the confusion there. rise and fall are antonyms so it'd only be natural to assume 4. 3:32 the correct wording is "these brand new lights," not "this brand new lights". here, it's a case of singular and plural agreement. you have more than one light, so "these" should be used. there are only a few things. i hope this didn't come off as too pushy and condescending. as a writer, little grammar things catch my attention easily.
Wow just love it you did an amazing job on this the plants will grow even now with the lights .thanks so very much for this awesome update of the JUNGLEARIUM thanks dark den
Petko said that 2 years have passed since he started the junglelarium and i realized that i have been watching dark den videos for almost 4 years. Time passes fast. Can't wait for more projects
Great enclosure, respectfully though the largest I've seen created by a single person is infact Tanner from SerpaDesign, he created a new 800gallon planted terrarium and its incredible. Not to take anything away from you, your enclosure is incredible also! Enjoy Lumenize, its an unreal light system! Subscribed 🤩
Advice to keep the flow on low where the splashing on inside wall doesn't happen wood doesnt like water at all, even if painted will still cause the wood to break down causing the side to start to flak.
it's nice, looks really good, a lot of different stuff, and big! i do wonder tho, is AntsCanada's upcoming one bigger? he havent even started yet, havent found out what he wants in his enclosure, havent decided on the size, or even started to find out what can live in there, and not all kill eachother... u will have a thriving enclosure, way before he's all done...
notice there a slot on top near the lights , lizard might get to that spot to hide , think the zebrina look good , some frydek on right or melo on the bottom
I have two tall Bio Active Paludariums I built myself. One houses my Giant Day Gecko and the other Houses my 3 Vietnamese Tree Frogs plus of course fish in my water features. Once the wife and I buy our forever home. Im going to build a Giant one like yours. I want to set mine up to have automated weather just as lightning/thunder storms with sound and lighting effects..etc..etc

Hmmm...that's actually not that bad idea, but It will just get bigger and bigger xD

If you have a UVB meter, you should see how much the UVB changes with the brightness
It’s been 30 years 😭😭😭😂💪🏻

Ants Canada is 1200 or less gallons. Dark Den's one is 1300 to 1400 , possibly 1500 gallons!
Antscanada might be the most insufferable channel on the entire sitr

There are Pictures online of Trilobite beetles that appear to be eating slime mild. Maybe try that
