    Looks amazing, I think you should leave that big plant on the left, it creates balance between the waterfall and the other size, it also creates a light gradient allowing animals to hide in the shade, large strong leaves for frogs or lizards to hide underneath, just an idea.

    • @TheDarkDen
      @TheDarkDen  11 месяцев назад +6

      Hmmm...that's actually not that bad idea, but It will just get bigger and bigger xD

    Your junglearium is beautiful! You can prime your water feature by taking dirty filter material from your established aquarium and swish in your jungalarium water. Also a black sponge on your intake pipe will not only increase filtration and proper bio load and prevent destruction of tiny inhabitants ( fry/shrimplets), but provide a food source for these and will prevent your pipe from clogging (debris will soon plug your screen). I really like that big plant, puts the "jungle" in your junglearium. Can't wait to see the variety of animals you add.

    The gravel and media won't have the nitrafiying bacteria without a ammonia source to kick start it. You can add fish food or buy a nitrafiying bacteria in a bottle( which will allow you to add fish etc right away)

    I would not remove the large plant to the left. Its one of the few things that actually makes it look like a jungle. A true jungle is very dark from all of the shade from the trees and most animals prefer shade over bright light.
    I have been in the Amazon rainforest for 3 weeks to explore spiders with just 1 friend and 1 guide and pretty much nowhere do you see a setup like yours. The only "open" areas are along the river banks and there you dont see the diversity in plants you are displaying, because they all get washed away in the rain season.
    But ofc if its annoying you, then move it.
    Also i would find a solution to hide those black walls on the side of the inclosure.
    Simple cork bark and be cut out to fit and before you stick it to the sides, you take a normal screw driver and drag long lines from top to bottom and 1-2cm into the cork bark.
    This way it will look like tree bark and plants will love it for climbing.
    Same with animals.

    Hold on my friend a screen inside the pipe will plug with debris and cause an overflow issue you need a sponge over a pipe that has many holes or slits in the pipe sides. This will not clog up like the screen insert. Great job, now you just need to do the same in your shower just use orchids that have an amazing scent, lol
