Promise of a new day was her final 6th number one single. Rush Rush was her 5th number 2 single. Blowing Kisses in the wind was a top 10 I think it reached number 6 on billboard charts.
The promise of a new day was stretched to make her look taller because the set made her look really short
I was disappointed that Paula never came out with a new album. I was shocked she came back touring. She looked and sound amazing. So this leads me to believe she CAN come back with a new album.
It may happen… but perhaps not. At this point she doesn’t seem like she wants to. I think the flip of her third LP really hurt her, and the late 90s treated her like a has been - so maybe she thinks she isn’t wanted back on the radio. Sad. I saw her twice in concert during her recent tour and she def still has it. I know she recorded many songs over the years too. So who knows?

This album was Paula's attempt at stretching her musical muscles and making a more diverse album. I think she mostly succeeded. Vibeology is one of her greatest songs, full of funky bass and horny horns. 🤣 U was Prince being Prince. Will You Marry Me was a tie-in with her marriage to Emilio Estevez, which didn't last long. Goodnight My Love (Pleasant Dreams) was a cover of a classic standard. It and Alright Tonight were both produced by Don Was of Was (Not Was), hence the male backup vocal of Sweet Pea Atkinson, who also sang in Was (Not Was).

I feel “If I were your girl” from Head over heels truly shows her vocals. I did manage to get the album in vinyl but it wasn’t cheap
Rush rush was the 1st single and The Promise of a New Day was #2 which both hit #1 which was 6 #1s in a row
