G'day it's Steven from Down Under I'm watching your honest and detailed review right now, you are indeed a very observant and articulate young man. I'm reliving the Madonna, Like a Prayer experience now, I recall the huge success at the time and the surrounding controversy too. Love that younger generations are enjoying Madonna's artistic brilliance. All hail the Queen of Pop
Like a Prayer (1989) and Ray of Light (1998) are usually claimed Madonna's greatest works. I love them, especially Like a Prayer - such a unique record with so many awesome songs. Till Death Do Us Part would be a great single too. Same with Spanish Eyes. Anyway, my all-time favorite Madonna album is still True Blue (1986)
I am amazed by all the details you know!! Thank you for doing a new Madonna video. I hope you cover her other albums too. MDNA had it's 10th anniversary just the other day :D
Madonna like a prayer album should be a album of the year on grammy 1990 And the like a prayer should be a record of the year on grammy 1990 Because the arts of the songs and album was related to all of our lives Grammy judges wayback 1990s made mistakes a lots
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You bring up some great points and milestones that were happening around that time. Like a Prayer stands out because of how much of her personal life is reflected through the lyrics and emotional vocals. There is no room for songs without a specific and intentional message, which is why some of these songs were left off the record. Although, I’d have to say “Supernatural” is a stand out as my favorite Bside by Madonna and is in my top 50 favorite of all M songs. Some fail to acknowledge her timing and relevancy of where this album is placed, not only in her discography, but in music and social culture. She also stood out bc this is where she had a different look for every video and her chameleon-like persona of reinventing herself really takes off (NO ONE ELSE WAS DOING THIS!). This album has so much significance in culture and in my own life that not many understand.
She is still making money off it. I guess. I dunno I think looking back the marketing was a mess. And the songs are not her strongest… I love when she adds depth to her lyrics, such as Oh Father/ Bad Girl, but those smooth lyric days are overrrrr
@@vibeology9432 also if you’re looking for smooth lyrics, Medellin, Crazy, Ghostown and many more I feel provide that. It’s be very boring to write a song the same way all the time for as long as she’s been doing it
