Really cool to see Richard just having a conversation with a person he clearly respects - no showmanship or need to be on , just chilling out and clearly being in awe of the situation he finds himself in. Love the creative idea of the bike building show as well - cars and bikes are an international language - from here in New Zealand to the states to Europe, Africa and everywhere else I’ve been there’s always a guy on a corner keen to show you his pride and joy and talk about cars and bikes
Great human is Ricky
Hello Fellow Kiwi haha
Kia Ora!
@@ianmangham4570 👍🏼
@@croooks1052 👍🏼
Scrap-bike challenge.
Hell yeah!
-Bring it on!! 🤟
I can't help but respect this guy. He's an independent and he's did it his own way his whole life. Well done Mr Kannenberg! All the best to you.
I wish there was a 24/7 hour live of this RUclips channel i love watching it and make sure to watch and like every video keep up the great work guys
Nice to see not just the collection but also the guy that put it together and hear his story and see what kind of a man he is so it's filmed and not lost to time.
Holy Crap! I always thought that place was empty too. Driven by it 100's of times, Good Luck Richard
The business mind that this man has is mind blowing!!! I've watched gas monkey for years and it's even better now he's took it to this channel 👏👏
Cut out the middleman go straight to your audience, of course Google takes a healthy cut but he has way more control than on the networks
Probably doesn’t make as much money now though.
Great chat, thoroughly enjoyed it. I think Denny is amazing how he is so chilled about watching his collection slip away. Let's be honest, he is a hobbyist, and a hoarder but a business man at the same time. Most people in his position would not be able to let it all go like this. He says he's getting old and doesn't want to burden his family with selling it on. A true legend in many ways.
There used to be a show like that in the UK it was called scrapheap challenge loved it hope Richard does it !!
Exactly what came to my mind when he said that idea
@@paulrenton7160 Yeah same here. Although RR wants to bring it to International level and I think it would be a huge hit if done right.
A collection passed from one legend to another! Love it .
Richard, I’ve enjoyed this more than anything I’ve ever seen you do, and I mean that in the best of ways.
Right!?!?
I love hearing history of this collection like this.. 👍🏼
There was a show like that back in the day and it was called junkyard wars.
I love this guy Denny.Reminds me of my grandfather who past away a few years ago except he was a master carpenter.Man the stories he had from over the years, the tips and tricks he taught me and ill teach to my kids one day.Great content, would love to just sit and hear some of Dennys stories.
It's just amazing how Richards brain works. A true business man
Richard you should keep one of his favourite bikes, to remember the one of the smartest guys worldwide! What a life he's had, wish mine turned out different
The junkyard wars meets Biker build off idea is great!! Right up my alley.
THIS^^^^^!!!
Good work Richard. I think you are certainly on to something... great interview. Honest- comfortable for the viewer. Solid, respect.
The TV show Richard is describing is similar to Junkyard Wars but instead of going into a junkyard they go into Richards parts store and make it more of a competition like Biker Buildoff. I would watch the hell out of that. Imagine an artist from Japan and Argentina showing up with their local flavors on the bikes.
you know, this is one of the best interviews i have seen. Richard you let him talk and you let it flow and it was great, {love the idea of the new tv show} well done
Love it! Keep us posted with the awesome collection!!
what a lovely man and collection
such an amzing collection!! and in great shape! well done
God Bless you Mr. Richard Rawlings your family and the Monkeys at your shop!!👍👍
Sounds like junkyard wars, but with bikes. I dig it!
Exactly
It is just so cool to sit down and talk to the old-timers, some of the greatest stories from the heyday I’ll cars motorcycles racing, these guys just had no fear and did it all.
This collection of motorcycles still just blows me away...incredible!
The only bike that I haven’t seen, but it’s probably there somewhere, is an 80’s model V65 Magna.
That why the whole WORLD love Richard rawlings he is the best in bussnis bravo 👍🏿.
Thank you Richard for making these episodes to show off a true legend. And Denny, my dad was my hero, and you where his hero. So I salute you sir for being the best ever.
What a great idea Richard get people from all over the world let them build motorcycle billion views for sure
Richard you are brilliant love these ideas and future planning
great idea! similar to the Great Biker Build Off series. would love to see this
Love what you are doing on you tube Richard, we need more bike building tv shows ,so go for it mate. Hugh respect for your past and present adventures in life
The show would definitely be cool. What a great man to sit and talk to.
Check out great biker build off, it is the show. Indian Larry is on it he made the coolest bikes in the world
Looking forward to seeing Bike buliders from around the world, what a great show that would be,Good Luck richard
I’d love to see that show.
Sure would be cool to get a chance to get somw of the diecast collectibles!
Agreed or any of the vintage toys
Your inventory looks great , it seems your investment's have went well! 🙌
I’ll watch every episode as long as it’s not on cable TV
I love this channel so much. Don't get me wrong I love gas monkey garage but I love the conversations with people as well as the full walk arounds with no editing.
“Sportwheels bike build” I hope this comes off, you’ve planted that seed now! I’ll be all over it💯
LOVED THIS EPISODE!!! THANKS GUYS!!
Great content, awesome idea for a TV contest show! The mind of Richard Rawlings is amazing, the merchandise and world wide clientele this would bring !! Get you some of that!!
He took the Junkyard wars idea. That was a cool show
Great talk with Denny
Holly crap Richard if this is not a lesson in biz 101, I don’t know what is. Your idea was brilliant!!!! Love it and would love to see it happen !!
There was a TV show similar to what Richard was describing called Junk Yard Wars
These are two great story-tellers!
Unlike ANY TV show, here...this sort of stuff just takes as long as it takes, no fake jeopardy or drama to lead up to the commercial break.
Richard. You could rock up at any garage and providing they weren't up to their proverbial's in something, I wager you could make it interesting!
Best wishes et bonne chance mes amis. (English armour-maker in a French forest) 🇬🇧⚒️🇺🇲
Sounds like a new production is in the forecast. I've left beer alone but blow a 💨puff as 🍻 cheers. Looking forward to the first episode....
Enjoyed this collection and show very much ! Richard shows the real person he is besides the TV show. Extremely knowledgeable to say the least. Best treasures I have ever even dreamed of seeing. Unbelievable that this man had the time and resources to amass this humongous collection. I will begin keeping up on this story hopefully ! 💯 PS. - I would almost kill to have one of those Honda 50 Mini-Trail bikes again. By far the best, most fun motorcycle I ever owned ! They sold in my area as fast as the dealer could put them together.
I think he has nailed the idea for a show, and Its something I have wanted from a car show for a long time, nothing really is world wide, its always a certain country and you can generally guess whats going to happen and its not as enjoyable. But to see a bunch of teams from all over the world come to compete and make an interesting show each time whould be awesome
Great guy this Denny...and he stands up off that chair like a spring!!
A dose of Richard and Dennis on the same night.
I was lucky enough to work at a really cool old Motorcycle salvage yard in Idaho called Boise Vintage Cycle for 10 years. It was such a great time in my life! It truly didn't seems like work. Such fun and so exciting to see what would come into the shop next.
That would be a great show with the bikes, and I'm not really a Motorcycle person!
What you mean ‘ biker build off’ ?
We had a similar programme in yhe UK years ago. Was called Scrapheap challenge. Teams went against each other building machines from parts on the piles and then competed against each other in set challenges. Was very popular
I'm just mind blown for wot this guy as done .unreal ..love it ..
That's one hell of a good idea man having the show there. Ready-made inventory and everything
The show sounds cool ! A lot of monster garage vibes and that show was unreal !
Richard this was a great thing to do. Class act.
Great idea Richard, love to see that 👍
I always just had a passing interest in gas monkey but this here just absolutely made me have a whole new respect for Richard - and a sub to this channel
I really like the idea of the motorcycle show as long as you keep it like this cahnnel....no fake drama bs!!!!
Really cool interview/ sit down conversation ✌️ good man Richard 👏👏👏
We already have that program and it's called scrapheap challenge
Richard should get with Ken Kaplan with the New England Motorcycle Museum (Kaplan Cycles) and do some bike episodes ✌️
In the UK we had a tv show all but the same called scrapheap challenge they built stuff and at the end they had to complete in some challenges to make sure what they built didn’t just look the part
That Yamaha 500 in yellow the guy wheels out 😵💫
Love gas monkey glad you continue the show main stream
Really enjoyed this video thanks for your content
That show Richard was pitching would be huge. Im not even a big motorcycle guy and i would watch every epi.
I visited Sport Wheels a couple weeks ago with my brother. He bought a bike and I got some free parts and Tee Shirt. Cool place to visit.
We had a TV show like that in the UK called scrapheap challenge years ago it was great
I said at the begining of this story that those H2 triples would be worth a fortune. but CBX with zero miles well the skys the limit on that bad girl. just an amazing story from start to finish, very fkn cool
Richard Rawlings “Motorcycle Masters”
I can already see it
I would have paid money to speak with this man when he was alive. RIP
Dammit, he picked up all of those before COVID, he’s going to make $$$.
That show idea is an awesome thought, I would probably watch every episode and I don’t watch TV, dropped cable years ago…
Isn't Richards idea basically scrapheap challenge? It's a show in the UK that's been running since 1998
I like Richard's finessing to keep the guy running the shop, Richard wants to buy
Balls to tha wall! Love the idea
That damn red GS 1100E in the background keeps sticking its tongue out at me
The RD and DT 500 💓
These RUclips shows are so much better than the cable show.. thanks RR... keep 'em coming!
My only complaint bout this video is that it way too short! Love Denny. I yelled out because of Denny too when I heard the bike to person ratio for Minnesota! Haaa!
Great idea btw. I would watch that bike off. Epic
Wall of death video is something I uploaded a long time ago on my RUclips!
Mad stuff.
his race bikes need to end up in a museum with some of his life
Such an epic idea. Would love to see a GN250 build off from Indonesia vs Thailand
Awesome!
Got off work at 430.... Drank a Miller lite, mowed my front yard , and now about to eat what ever the hell my wife cooked for supper while watching Gas Monkey......while drinking Another Miller lite.
Basic dude stuff
I would love to walk through this collection. And bought some.
My sister in 69/70 has the same 500H1 white and blue mach 3 with drum front brake. Two things :
1. A girl with bike before 1970 was very rare in France at this time.
2.A kawa 500 cc triple in 70 in France was so so rare.
Richard i live not far from jordan where u guys are i would love to get a beer or atleast have a beer with u when your back in Minnesota
OMFG! Make that show Richard!!!
I love watching y'all show and projects y'all get into as well as the things you do for people also watching the live cam as well.....keep doing what y'all do can't wait to personally meet y'all once COVID is gone. Mask up keep clean cause this s*** sucks
Retirement is surfing every day. Up at 5am for dawn patrol looking for someone to haste for waves ✊. Breakfast burrito right before lunch afternoon nap then check the waves right before sunset for surf or beer with the boys✊✊✊. Dirt cheap trips to Mexico, Peru and Panama. Retirement rocks. Retired at 40 and never regretted.
Cool, I had an 1975 a RD350, like the one behind Richard, then when he was outside on the white 500 triple, I had that 1978 kz 650 the light blue one. Man all those bike are sweet. Oh, and also the Suzuki GS700 (white) on the other side of Richard,
There was a show in the uk think it was called scrap yard challenge two teams had to build some random vehicle out of scarp they had a time limit I miss the old programs thinking about it
What a great video, love it 😊👍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹

Very Professional and Interesting conversation
I wish to god there was a motorcycle yard around my town like this,I would spend every spare dime there buying bikes to fix up.awesome idea Richard, but you know that already.

Russell Mitchell already done that show idea called build or bust.
