How do those Allison HS 4000 transmission s hold up in over the road work? I understand they are really reliable in city p/up and delivery, I’m just wondering about 90% highway 10% city work of say 600 miles s day and if it would be a good choice Thanks Andy
It's primary purpose if for "vocational" applications. They offered a 10 speed at one point but it never took off in the KW product. If you want an automatic for line haul I would go with the paccar 12 speed or the ultra shift from Eaton. The Allison is super pricey!
Just wondering; I’m looking at an 07 Mack mr tractor that was a former Post Office tractor with the Allison 4000 6 speed for doing a 400 mile round trip hauling machine parts

As a reminder I was looking to see if you can help me but showing me all the most expensive options to put on a w900L with an 86inch studio sleeper, Cummins x15, 18 spd, split windshield, sunroof, etc. and are you limited to the amount of customization in anyway, like if I wasn’t certain gauges on my dash or how many switches I want for lighting LEDs

How do you expect to lift a bin with that minimal overhang past the pivot point of the rails? Seems awfully short to me??

It helps backing up dude it’s safer that way especially in job site where workers are always walking behind your truck
It's used for lining up with the bins, especially when it is done all from inside the cab.
