    How to style World War 2 officer pants takes a lil nuance. High waisted pants ain't cheap so I was forced to get creative and find some WW2 pants on ebay. I was pleasantly surprised by this journey.
    First I highly recommend you buy long. When you buy your pants long you can get them tailored to a specific length for your body. It makes the pants look leagues better than anything you buy off the rack.
    Bonus! These World War 2 high waisted pants were crazy cheap especially in comparison to anything new on the market. If you're not shopping vintage you are missing out.

    Looks amazing! I don't know how you could stand the excitement for 2 weeks waiting for the trouser hemming to be done, though! 😂

      Right?! We live in a time that two weeks is looong. Thank you, hope I inspired.

    In that 1990's Highlander t.v. show, nearly all the male characters were wearing high waisted pants. Such pants really do look good.

      It’s a look that I feel will be quite lasting in the next decade.

      I remember Duncan McLeod (Adrian Paul) wearing that kind of pants, but that were a little bit different, late 80's early 90's modern style.

    Underrated content, I've been getting into vintage military gear but also vintage, pleated shorts. 1) how'd you authenticate the Gucci loafers? 2) where is the shirt from 0:37 from?

    • @FashionableFather
      @FashionableFather  3 месяца назад

      I didn’t authenticate but love them and they feel real deal. You’ll have to educate me on that if you can. The shirt is from…..Abercrombie, yep. I’m telling ya that damn store has got me lately.
      Thanks for watching and complimenting!

      @@FashionableFather eBay does its own authentication on luxury goods and its close to bulletproof as you get buying second hand they are investing into it heavily

    Great video. Always great content.
    I like the way the pants drape and move. Are they heavy?

    • @FashionableFather
      @FashionableFather  3 месяца назад

      The drape is simply lovely! Yes they are heavy so not exactly great for summer. Thanks again for watching.

    I only wear mid & high, low-rise doesn't look good on me.

    I don't like that kind of pants and shirts, looks weird and you look a little bit fat because the vintage pants and shirt style.
    For me the best style is quiet luxury/old money.

    What is it with wearing a button up shirt unbuttoned with an undershirt showing? Not a cool look but rather sloppy looking in my opinion.

      @FashionableFather  3 месяца назад +1

      I love the look. I prefer casual to the sloppy depiction but I get it. I also like how it helps show off the waist of the pant. You didn’t like the striped shirt too?

    • @ABC-rh7zc
      @ABC-rh7zc 3 месяца назад +1

      I agree, it has a "wife beater" look to it. Probably not the best association

      @@ABC-rh7zc nothing special about those particular undershirts anyway, especially for a so called "influencer". If you want to show your trim waist and belt, tuck in your shirt and don't leave it wide open.
