The Celtic Colours Festival must have fantastic sound engineers. I haven't heard a single bad recording yet, all of them are at the absolute highest level!
Yes, she has brought smiles and many new tunes and undertandings to my and peoples' faces, as I'VE expressed since I first met her in about 1982, South Chicago when I first bought a fiddle and asked her for a lesson and she blew me away with her kind hospitality and tunes even at 10 a.m. before she'd even had a cup of tea. My first visit, there was a piano in her family's basement, so I asked whether I could play Johnny Harling's The Dusty Windowsill jig with her, so we did.. After which she called Johnny up, and said, "Hey Johnny, there's a guy here from Toronto who's playin your tune .. A friend of his brought it back from Ireland, where I played it .."
man as soon as this started I knew it was gonna be gold- especially when the keys kicked in. Mrs. Carroll kills it man. Confirmed gonna pick up the fiddle now.
I had the privilege of hearing her live about 40 years ago, when she was young and I was younger. Mick Maloney called her "demon Liz Carroll" because she was so fast. I didn't think that was a nice way to put it, but his admiration was clear. I'm glad she's still playing and has definitely not slowed down!
The tune seems to be actually called A Tune Back and it's by Andrea Beaton. www.amazon.com/A-Tune-Back/dp/B01HPWZ0KA She may have it in one of her books of tunes. I quite like that, too.
Download Amazing Slow Downer from ronimusic.com , then find a recording! Slow it waaaay down. I’m beyond indebted to Roni for the majority of my repertoire!! In the early days of my playing I learned countless tunes on the Slow Downer...
A Tune-Back for Andrea Beaton, by Liz Carroll, was written in response to a tune Andrea wrote for Liz some years back. Sheet music has just been published (available online only at this point) in Liz Carroll Collected II on LizCarroll.com
Someday she will feel all the smiles she has put on people's faces.
Well said ! I'm smiling . Liz a Gift for the world of musicien.

Musical magic.
Indeed, flaming fiddle!
Fantastic as usual! Anyone knows of other recordings of the last tune (Johnny D's)?
Er...did they turn the bass all the way down? I can hear the fiddle and piano fine, and the bass not at all.
That said, Liz is, as ever, amazing.
