- Chicago fiddler Liz Carroll-a Grammy nominee and NEA National Heritage Fellow-amazes world audiences with her virtuosity, reviving traditional Irish and Celtic styles. Pianist/guitarist Jake Charron joins her with his take on Canadian-Celtic music.
I think Liz Carroll is the finest fiddle player (violinist) on this planet. She jammed with me and my band "Rosin The Bow" in a sweltering attic during one hot summer in Chicago, when she was just a teenager. She had already won the All Ireland championship twice at that time. I could never hold a candle to her as a musician, but I am honored to have shared music with her. - Bill Cody
Like I've long attested, Liz Carroll is the BOMB; the absolute DIVA of the Irish fiddle. Sweetest heart too!
Plus. She is wicked funny.
Liz Carroll always makes me happy! Thank you Liz!

The Foggy Dew. Nice one.
very very hard core fiddler!
Could someone please tell me the name of the slow piece at 15:44? At first I thought it was "The Potter's Wheel" but that is apparently the 2nd reel that follows the slow piece. (I've leaned a version of it and would like to know what to call it.)
The Lough Derg Cross, stunningly beautiful. We play it in our trio, Lochlann.
@@petterfuhre17 Thank you, Petter!
