People just like to complain got my a1ii yesterday and the AI and pre-cap alone are a solid reason to upgrade. The body, lcd, ibis too and then my guess about 50 smaller updates. Did i have to pay yes, did it sting a little yes but after 4 years using the a1 i am looking forward to 4 years with the a1ii.
I picked up the A1 for $2800 les than the A1 II so it depends on the price. Let people voice their opinions because that's what Sony needs to hear. It blows my mine when people are afraid of what other people have to say. Sony can also improve its color science system and make improvements so that shooters and photographers get solid accurate colors without having to tweak Sony's in camera settings. Nothing major but that's why Canon color is appreciated more. Sony's cine line has to have accurate colors at every base. Color shouldn't have more brown / pink shadow base or blue in the shadows. Look at the video and photos in the OP great video? Pink brown under tones in gamma. Color accurate but also color balanced.
@ yes absolutely, people are always allowed to voice their opinions, and there is always things all camera brands can improve. At the end of the day, the camera you choose comes down to your personal preferences, needs and priorities. The A1 will definitely be cheaper now and you can get it for a great price which brings amazing value for money, since it’s a fantastic camera. However, personally for me, the ergonomics and autofocus of the A1 was dealbreakers for me, which is why I choose the A7Rv instead. Because it suited my needs better. But as I said in the video, those things have now been fixed with the A1ii which is why I think it’s now the perfect camera. But for other people there’s other things to prioritize and that’s why they might choose another camera, and that’s perfectly fine, I’m simply stating my opinion in my video 😊
@@karolinanoreewild Indeed its not that i mind the complaining i do that a lot and directly to sony at times or other brands. But we all know that many comments are more like a sport of some people and have little relation with what they use themselves or how others use the product your example is a good one the egro's where so important you switched models 2 times. I personally just designed or help design things to fix it just designed a new extender and have worked on several products in the past helping companies.

@@karolinanoreewild Of course. The colours and sharpness were quite exceptional. Love the darker backgrounds you were able to get. Being able to use that wonderful 300 2.8 and the perspective and quality it brings is such a benefit. My favourite lens.
Yes, the vehicle is our protection. The animals don't associate it with food or threat, and therefor don't mind us being there, so as long as we stay in the car we are perfectly safe.
It really excites me that you seem to really enjoy the A1ii with the 300+1.4tc. Because I invested in the 300+1.4tc and I have the A1 which I’m really pumped to take on safari! Do you feel when you have the 300 that you need to be wider often? Or does the 300 pretty handle most situations?
Yes it’s such a great combo I’m very happy with it! I feel that 300mm is a great focal length for wildlife. Very rarely do I feel the need for something wider, but in the future I’ll be investing in a 70-200 for those situations 😊
No not much at all actually. I will if I have to but, none of the photos in this video are cropped much at all. I simply just frame it in different ways depending on how far away the animal is, and just work with the focal length that I got 👍
As good as cameras are these days, no one touches Sony’s AF for sharpness when the distances get farther off & in low light. Great to see them giving their customers what they ask for with the ergonomics, Focus Stacking (I would use that). So how many fps shooting full raw & buffer with the A7R5?
What lens combination would you choose for Maasai Mara & India (Tigers) - 1) Sony 300mm f2.8 + 100-400mm + 2x TC (for the prime) or, 2)Sony 300mm f2.8 + 70-200 f2.8 + 2x Tc (for use with both lenses) or, 3)Sony 300mm f2.8 + Sony 200-600mm

Interesting that Sony through the very expensive camera and lenses to their ambassadors and RUclipsrs to promote. For 99% of consumers these tools are way out of budget. Maybe do what Fuji, Canon and Nikon does, many of their influencers use and do video's about mid range gear, inspire confidence in the mass consumer market that the R6 or Z6iii or XH2s is good enough camera to use for wildlife or whatever they do. No Sony has the outrageously expensive A9iii and A1ii and A7Rv and mid range A7iv that is now 2 yrs behind the curve. Maybe Sony needs the A9ii with better AF for birds that could have been fixed with firmware at a mid price level in line with the Nikon Z6iii/Z8 but this consumer level now have the two stupid expensive camera's to choose from. The tech is great but the pricing stupid
She is using the camera as in a perfect setting showing why its in sony's lineup and all you are sending as a signal that its not for you as a video shooter given its not a crime its just someone who demands his usecase is all our use cases.

Stunning images and video, love the setup. I have the A7RV and the 300 2.8, love them. My A1ii is on order, hopefully arrive just before Xmas.

Absolutely agree!!
I think with uncompressed raw a you can get up to 7fps or so. I usually shoot compressed L and get 10 fps with that 👍

NO internal raw codecs in 2024 is so disappointing and to charge $6.5K for it, is an absolute crime.
