Can you give some details of building the boat? I have a 14 foot Jon boat and want to do the same. Love your boat! Why did you choose white paint? It looks great! Any regrets? Also I have no title. Any advice on getting registered in FL? If you could do a "Jon Boat Bay Boat Build Video" it would be wonderful. Love watching you guys here in "The Western Gate To...."

I learned a lot doing this build. Made many mistakes but she's coming along now. I rebuilt the transom using untreated fer plywood, it's naturally marine use ready . Do not use the marine grad from a big box store if your boat is aluminum. The copper marine coating will oxidize with aluminum. The paint I used was Sherwin-William Pro Cryl Primer and Acrolon 100 A & B. It is safe on the aluminum and has good wear life. I grew up on this boat and it has always been white since it was in my family. Fl is pretty easy to get a new title on a small vessel. You can visit your local tax collectors office and have them give you a detailed list of the specifics.

Is your Yamaha a 4 stroke? I run a 25 Merc 4 stroke on my little boat with electric start and tilt/trim. Thinking about an atlas jack plate as well.
