Great video I’ve been watching for a few months and just got myself a 2024 z71. Definitely gonna do an overland build, I do live in upstate ny so the snow vid was very helpful (you’ll get used to the snow).
Oh, man, they're going to close all of the gates soon... That's not even deep enough to worry about. Try Aztec Peak in January (no, don't do that, the side by sides can't even make it). Snow driving is like soft sand driving - lower your tire pressure to around 10 to 12 pounds and go slow and keep your momentum going in 4 Low... You don't want to snap things by spinning up then having the tires hook up.
@@Downtimelost Yeah, total bummer when they do; but I get it. There are a few places where you can sneak in on the 87 between Happy Jack and the 260W. They do it to keep from having to constantly recover vehicles and keep unprepared people from earning the Darwin award. It may be in the 60s in the PHX area, but you're not going to do well if you get stranded dressed for those conditions.

Dude it’s so fun! Just make sure you pack warm proper tire size and pressure! Maybe a heated blanket or diesel heater and recovery gear !
