For those who do not understand music arrangements: this song is a swing ballad. Glen Miller's version is played with more musicians, the harmonies are thicker, Glenn emphasises orchestral playing in slower tempo (slow dance) for nearly 2 and half minutes, then with a brief clarinet playing on top, and then ending with orchestral arrangement. A ballad. But, Benny Goodman plays with a smaller orchestra, fastens up the tempo (brisker dance), changes the order and plays the clarinet right from the beginning and adds more phrasings, then adds different instruments to solo over the top of the orchestra, one after another. THAT is how you arrange when you have a different size orchestra at hand.

Quite a compliment to Glenn Miller from Benny Goodman playing Glenn's composition but Glenn's version is still tops forever more

Good to hear Bennie playing his old friend and former roomate's signature tune - and beautifully as well.

I love it and since Glenn Miller wrote it, I don't have to feel disloyal

Benny honored his friend Glenn Miller in doing what Glenn couldn't do with Moonlight Serenade, swing it reverently!
Fletcher Henderson's arrangement typical and was only disappointed with the ending being abrupt. Compare this with Count Basie's version. The Count's is a hair more swinging. This gives me perspective of how a Harry James 1940 band might have sounded playing Glenn's
      song.

Ooh im sorry give me Glenn Millers version! It just seems like it needs to be a slow song. Nothing against Benny (I love moonglow) and whispers!
