This podcast should have been an ode to high consistent and quality performance put together by an excellent team always on intense scrutiny and expectation. India did not just qualify for the 3 finals but simply bull dozed ALL teams to get there. Now what happens on a single day face off should not deter that India beat Aus/Pak/Eng (who were T20 2021 Champions, T20 2022 Champions and T20 2022 Finalist and 2021 Semi-finalist) whilst South Africa defeated Nepal by just 1 run and Afg to get to Finals. India is the first team to win defending a total in a T20 WC knockout game since Sri Lanka's 27-run win (DLS) over West Indies in the 2014 semi-final in Mirpur. The last 12 were won by the chasing side. There have been 13 instances of a team winning the toss and opting to field in a T20 World Cup knockout (semis or the final), only two of which ended in defeats: WI vs SL in the 2009 semi-final at The Oval and England today. These stats are crazy.

Don't worry, even lot of chapri Indians say the same. They think IPL is the main reason for every small mistake India does in intl cricket and every loss we endure in international cricket.
I'd like someone to clarify some doubts of mine. 1. Aren't all boards aware where the semi final and final venues are before the tournament begins? Don't all boards have to sign off knowing India will play at Guyana IF they reach the semis? In any case, wouldn't teams have to plan for either Guyana and Trinidad? So its a case of Plan A & B, instead of only Plan A. Right now the discourse is that India knew the venue and other teams were clueless where in the WI the semis would take place. But considering how the second SF went, would India have played the same team with 3 spinners? Absolutely. I think Rohit went with 4 spinners in the squad, considering the weather and the fact that pitches in WI assist spinners. Not that Guyana in particular aids spinners. 2. Secondly, this isn't the first time a team has known their semi final venue, since 1992, various teams over the years have known it as well. Why is it an issue now? 3. Regarding the lack of a reserve day, I read that the ICC had allocated 250 extra minutes for play to take place. So if the 1st SF is a washout, they use that extra 4 hours to play the next evening. Whereas the 2nd SF, the extra 4 hours will be played later into the afternoon and evening of the same day. 4. The only criticism I agree with is that, India didn't play any night games because of broadcasting convenience of subcontinent viewers. But unlike Eng & Aus, India along with other teams had to play in the US before heading down to the WI, so does that mean the latter teams were at a disadvantage?
only hosts knew their semi final venues in the past. ind is not a host but will get treated like one because they need to make it to the end stages for revenue
1. Thanks for responding. Actually, Pak knew their semi final match was going to be in Kolkata last year. Barring that, I see your point. But what Im trying to understand is, how is it advantageous to the Indian team? The fixtures & venues for knockouts were announced well in advance. All teams knew the semis will be played in either Guyana or Trinidad. Yes, ICC chose to cash in on primetime subcontinent viewership. Then it was a question of which stadium was ready to host a day game. So it's not that only the Indian team knew their match was going to be held in Guyana. All the boards knew & signed off on this in advance, that IF India reach semis, they play in Guyana. 2. Even if they hadn't played in Guyana, tactically Ind wouldn't have made any changes because Trinidad conditions weren't that different. It's not Perth & Wankhede. There too spinners would have come into play. So the argument that Ind selected a squad based on Guyana pitch conditions is rubbish. As WI in general assists spinners + it's rain hit. In Guyana playing morning matches is more difficult compared to evening matches. Neither did India play any league games there, nor was India playing matches in Guyana before the tournament. 3.If its moral issue that teams shouldn't know their opponents or venues in advance then this WT20 tournament past few editions have been pre-seeded. So teams know who their super 8 opponents will be and where they will be playing super 8 games. 4. I agree ideally, it shouldn't be a pre-seeded tournament. England can only beat India under perfect conditions for them AND if India have a bad day.

It's just Rashid though. Moeen, Livingstone and Jacks are the next picks. That is not where you want to be in a place that spins a lot. I've got to say I'm not sure who can come in to take over from Rashid when he retires.
This Indian team is different when it comes to batting intent. They are okay to lose wickets as long it keeps the scoreboard ticking. It's the get runs "now" approach instead of "last 5 overs" that has changed the game. All the matches that they have played batting 1st since Super 8s have been won by massive margins which shows they have scored above-par scores in this tournament.

From your analysis it seems like you are trying to say India won because England didn't play good enough. I understand you are mad because India won,Don't be sad India played better than England.

England Need to bat with a Broader Bat!!
Dear Sir Prof. Jarrod,
I would like to request you for a great analysis on how different weather and pitch conditions affect the bowling and which all factors suit which kind of bowling etc
The runs where over par i agree
But england had the worst batting line up and missed some trick by not playing will jacks
Only buttle was the real threat
Rest was harry who hasn't done well in pressure especially during ipl and in india, then jhonny who is most inconsistent player and then lim who just can't play on top of that moeen the batting line up was really really bad
Well analyzed, as you often do. But the random wiggle effect from After effect is making me a bit dizzy.
We all saw how bad Rohit was against spin in IPL.
But that guy was just getting ready for World Cup.
If you can do that, you need not to perform in IPL, country comes 1st.
And at what crucial times he has performed. You see the hunger in him to win WC. and rightly so, he deserves it!
cheerleader for VK? 7 innings 75 runs....SHAMEFUL
Crazy part is he made more runs in final than runs he made in entire tournament
Good to see Hitwicket to sponsor this video. I played this game from 2015-2020 and it was an incredible run. I absolutely loved the original game, but had to leave because I couldn't give enough time to it anymore
Lets hope its a tight competitive match unlike both the semi's.
As an Indian, it would be sad if India looses.
But SA do deserve a win too, for their 30+ years of excellence & heartbreak.
Why did Butler not use Moeen Ali bowling in the match?
Finals Ind vs Sa [unbeaten sides]
Win = Grandslam🎉
Lose = Chokeslam😂😂😂😂
Too much unnecessary hero worshipping Kohli by Indians. He needs to be dropped and retired ASAP and replaced by Jaiswal for the final. Being the weakest link notice India will score higher total when he's out early due to his selfish batting and poor at best run a ball strike rate. He's also the sole reason RCB have not won any IPLs .
Sole reason rcb haven’t won a trophy.😂 In 2016 final he was one of the only people to score runs in final lol.
@@sahilthe2009You gone quiet .. How's the KK G.O.A.T curry??
@@Actually-y7j bro of course I went quiet you went quiet for a month
World Cup is coming to asia, IN SHA ALLAH❤❤❤❤❤. love from Pakistan
Rohit was never been trolled the way he was trolled today by you comparing him with meculum and morgan
Love your energy and videos Jarrod 👏👏
Bro scared me in end
Very rightly said introduction was 🥵
England that have been dominanting recent white ball tournament ?
Pakistan who occasionally just play brilliant in recent icc tournament?
What type of sugar coating is this ?
I would like to correct your claim that england has been dominating white ball cricket, they lost this world cup against Aussies, south Africa, and India. They won only against less seeded teams and you know what happened in the 50 over world cup last year.
From your analysis it seems like you are trying to say India won because England didn't play good enough. I understand you are mad because India won,Don't be sad India played better than England.
Extremely lopsided. This man has acute indigestion on account of India's win
Disgusting to say the least.
India have to complete their knockout losing streak by losing to South Africa and hence ensuring they lose to all major cricket playing countries in the last 11 years.
If you comparing mac to rohit . then he started bazzball . then this world cup can be term as razball . razing england.
9:07 Arshdeep is better than siraj on any wicket.
siraj is useless.
he performs only against weak teams.
Just realised England were all out after THE HUNDRED balls. ECB has a moral victory here!
😂😂😂😂😂
The Battle of Chokers ...
‘South Africa are better players of spin’ that’s scary enough 🥲
Icc always favours india.
Your recent comment shows that you just hate India.😂😂
I want sa to win this time
India has 3 wc
Sa has nothing
Was waiting for this video 😅❤
What did you said in a podcast? 😅 Do you remember? 😂
Jarrod, your ending statements are wow! Your mastery over data, analysis, and words are commendable. 👍
we still have PTSD from the ODI WC final 🥲
That pain ain’t ever going away unless we win odi wc but still I think a lot of people who watched 2003 never forgot it after 2011.
IND won because England decided to bowl first on a bowling slow and low pitch they should have batted first use favourable batting conditions
Doubt.
The whole conversation is about spinners
And moeen Ali dint ball an over
This is a crime
What did they smoke
On a spinning track, moeen Ali doesn’t ball an over
Indeed.
As an Indian I want india to win but as a cricket fan I wish South Africa win
great analysis, excited for the finals!
Editing thumbnail too good
The beast analyses
Roger the King
Eng had reached the final in 2016
you got a new subscriber 👍👍
I think SA is the only team which deserves to win this cup more than India and get rid of their three decades old hoodoo.
Klaasen is going to play a Travis Head (2023 WC final) kinda knock and India will once again fail to cross the final hurdle 😔
Good prediction. Klassen didn't get as lucky as Head, got out at a crucial time and South Africa panicked later on
Very close to what happened klaasen just got out and there were just miller left.
Rohit 🫡
Lol how do u say pakistan dominates in icc tournament
In ct 2017 there were many mqny matches which git rain affected
In 1992 wc we all know
Pakistan has only won 2009 wc convincingly
Hitman+Surya 🔥
Fatnastic .. clueless England 😁😁. I hope Indo goes through all the way ... to lift the silver cup
I have 0 expectations from India.
Indian fans, have 0 expectations.
😂😂 ladies ladies British media and Pakistani media are fuming with burnoil 😂😂 if people can't trust ICC they can always give the power to BCCI
are you polish??
Final match your perform what happening?😂😂😂😂🎉😂
England needed another spinner instead of fast bowler, their spinners brought them back after Curran over.
South Africa also doesn't play well against spin. 😅
