Jasprit Bumrah's exceptional bowling performance was the key factor that turned the match in India's favour and led to their 6-run victory over Pakistan. Here's how Bumrah impacted the final result:
He took 3 crucial wickets while conceding just 14 runs in his 4 overs, applying immense pressure on Pakistan's batting.
His wickets included the prized scalp of Babar Azam and the well-set Mohammad Rizwan.
Bumrah bowled an incredible 15 dot balls, drying up the runs and building tremendous pressure on the Pakistani batters.
This proved decisive in a low-scoring thriller.
His first spell broke the opening partnership and dismissed the Zimbabar Babar Azam, triggering Pakistan's collapse from a comfortable 26/0
When Pakistan looked set to chase down the target at 80/3, Bumrah's second spell completely turned the tide by dismissing the well-set Maulana Tablighi Lipstick Rizwan for 31.
This opened the floodgates as Pakistan lost a flurry of wickets.
Bumrah was adjudged the Player of the Match for his game-changing figures of 3/14, which played a pivotal role in India's narrow 6-run victory.
Bumrah's precise line, length, and ability to extract movement made scoring extremely difficult for the Pakistani batters. His two spells at crucial junctures not only took key wickets but also built immense pressure, eventually leading to Pakistan's batting collapse from a seemingly comfortable position.

Nope, him and rizwan had probably discussed to play safe on bumrah's spell, imad is a pretty defensive player, so he might have suggested it, and when rizwan tried to slog and got out, he was probably laughing at him.

I glad that you brought up that Rishabh Pant Innings. I also thing Rishabh-Axar Partnership was very important and that's where India capitalised in most of the deliveries.Pakistan was playing too safe, they were not even trying to hit boundaries.

I love watching your analysis. Also, I never doubted that India will win this match. Since we had a disciplined bowling line up and Pakistan had below average batsmen except 2 or 3 batsmen. Only thing i was worried about was our spinners. But Akshar Patel really surprised me with his bowling and his last over for me made all the difference. That's where Pakistan lost in my opinion. Because after that i knew that our fast bowlers won't let them get boundaries that easily & akshar was the only chance for them to shift the pressure on us.

New York Pitch is not an abomination , bowlers also need something instead of being hammered around the park and the team scores 250+ runs , this pitch is fun to watch cricket , let batsman struggle sometimes most of the times its the bowlers that take the hammering , Plus it creates diversity in the game.

Love the depth your analysis Jarrod. I do have a somewhat different opinion on the pitch though. Not that it is a good pitch but that it gave the bowlers a chance in a T20 game. I don't consider myself a purist by any measure, the sort that believe test matches are the only true form of cricket. But I do find these days that form is more enjoyable, than the ball bashing that T20 has become. It is not a true contest between bat and ball that cricket supposed to be. So in that sense this pitch added a different dimension to the T20 game. Terrible as it was, brought the bowlers into the game. Made people think, adjust and be different tactically. I think it also contributed to teams like the USA having a chance against the stronger teams instead of being slammed against a wall as usually happens. I don't think the USA beat Pakistan without this wicket.
May be the wicket does not need to be quite this bad but I, for one, would much prefer 140-160 matches that are a more even contest between bat & ball rather than 200+ affairs where being lucky as a bowler is more valuable than skill. Unless you are Bumrah....then the rules are different!

Shivam Dube have been picked as all rounder but he has failed to impress in bowling, batting and fielding. I think batting wise, this pitch is not for all out hitters, this pitch is like test wicket on fifth day, without solid technique and determination, one is bound to struggle on it. Hope he produces something in west indies leg of the tournament.

Hard disagree that 120 was an okay score or as you put it just 5 under par. It was easily the best day to bat on that pitch. There was nearly no uneven bounce and the outfield was much better.
