Oh Lisa, I can relate! In my first pregnancy, I experienced pelvic pain and shocks in my right leg just 1 month into the pregnancy, this went on till I delivered my baby. One time I was walking in town on a shopping spree (5months) then this pain shot its shot. Some kind men helped me get a place to sit as fast as they could because I Screamed so loud. Emy gynaea lot
    2. Next thing, my right foot begins to swell, same leg! Am a size 38 but had to move to size 39 for just the right foot that couldn't fit in my normal shoes. This time the Gynae run tests to rule out Gestational Diabetes, but it turned out negative and I was given compression stockings. The swelling persisted three weeks after delivery.
    3. Sudden shooting pain in the umbilical cord that was about month 7, it would go on for about 10 minutes. It was worrying.
    4. Extreme thirst in the night, even water couldn't quench. I resorted to chewing gum throughout the night and this worked for me.
    5. Throughout my pregnancy I was just glowing, I turned a bit lighter. Oh, I was so lovely and beautiful. I would take walks to the mall and would even attract attention of unruly men. (Not proud of this because am married and didn't even dress Indecent) BUT ALAS! the day I delivered my baby, I became the opposite. I was so Ugly, so dark! so puffed up, I always looked like I was coming out of bed. The dark mask on my face lasted 9 months after delivery, I had to seek help, get a few creams just to look better.
    6. Then the day I delivered, I happened to go to the bathroom, while I was busy doing my business, I saw some long thing pooping out of my number two. I was shocked! I think it was my rectum. I didn't talk about it, I silently went to bed and prayed, next day I went to the bathroom, nothing pooped out thank God!

You literally shared real issues we go through during and after pregnancy. I've been through my fair share with 3 kids but as yoy said, we somehow eventually overcome these issues. We put so much pressure on ourselves and society is not kind either. Nevertheless we soldier on and learn to appreciate where we are at. Great topic Lisa. Keep up the good work.

I struggled with hip pain at literally 2 months pregnant it was crazy..despite all kinds of supplements. I was literally dragging my foot and limping 😢and knew I was heading to bed rest. I was stressed 😩. Then a gyn gave me a miracle drug and it was gone in a week! I thank God 🙏

the worst experience for me was having toothache at 8 months and increased gum sensitivity and the dentist could not do anything apart from prescribing paracetamol. I asked mums around me and non had experienced it and when I googled, the statistics showed about 15% of pregnant women.

Kindly share the examples or types of vitamins pregnant women can or should take. Was very clueless about these, yet I had always seen them in pharmacies long before I had a single thought about marriage or pregnancy. I didn't take a single vitamin except iron supplements and folic acid. I am told they can help replenish lost hair, nutrients etc. Actually me I struggled more with stunted growth everywhere and hairloss than growth. To this day, 17mths later. Though I have noticed the hair growth (except on my head) is "picking up speed again" 😂 as of 2mths back
