Hello.HAPPY 4th ANNIVERSARY ON YOUR FIRST LIGHTNING TROUT CATCH!! Came across your video when searching on "What's a Lightning Trout!" Like how it got you with a FART/BURP at 9:28!! All the Best to you and yours!
I had my fun with some lightnings earlier...no success on catching but was messing around with a nice school of them that were maybe 15 feet out in front of my cousin and I...We took turns casting...they were eyeing my jigs and kastmaster (with a worm attached), one (or more) took a strike at it but didn't fully commit to it, also had a few go on the chase before bailing...finicky little fish...
The third time fish went back to the middle of the lake I almost fast-forward the video, my nerves were about to give up, for it brings me so many memories lol.
Thank you for watching! I had no idea lightning trout were in Shadow Cliffs, thank you for the heads up! Do you know if that was a one-time stock in the past or if they stock lightnings consistently? And do you happen to know if they're also from the Mt. Lassen hatchery? I've been trying to find out which hatchery Amador gets their lightning trout from, but have had no such luck yet.
Lol, that's great. I'm glad you stumbled upon my channel. Great timing. Did you guys have any luck? It was a super slow day. If I wasn't able to sight-fish those two trout, circling the cove, I probably would have got skunked.
Thanks bro. You definitely got to try out Amador, especially in the spring when the bite is on fire. They have great campsites on the water too. Wake up and cast.
We called them Golden Trout in Idaho. Im from San Jose, I went back to sj for the 4th of July and wanted to fish for trout. but couldn’t find any river or creek for trout fishing.
great video! Only suggestion I would give would be to turn the music down a little so that it is more background music. Some parts earlier in the video it was pretty difficult to hear you.

I feel ya. These lightning's seem a bit more clever than the average rainbow. I've been taunted by my fair share of them as well :)

What color mice tail were you using?
Haha if I were there I could teach you an easy way to land those trout. You seem to be having serious issues getting them ashore.
Beautiful catch!
Also what size hooks?
Awesome, FYI you can catch the lightning trout at Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton CA too.

They stock the lightning trout at times during the winter months.
Hahaaa. Nice catch brotha. That was me and some friends on the peek next to you.
Haha nice! Thank you for watching.
Were you the group that was fishing to my left? (The group that asked what I caught the Lightening trout on?)
Yup. That was us you were talking to in the video

Nice, Brother! I gotta get up there, now that the holdovers are gone at Pedro.

You were right, that was a good fight! It was great meeting you today, I can't wait to do a collaboration video in the future!
It was great to meet you too! Looking forward to your upcoming channel.
I feel like the lightning trout fight harder than normal rainbows
I definitely agree!
the lightning trout had a full tail so it fought harder
Cool vid! Im going tomorrow morning, my first time there. Any info I can use? Thanks again
What spot were you at?

Caught a couple lightning trout with garlic power bait, those fish tasted delicious
No. We skunked out. Killed it yesterday though. Still no lightning for me yet though.

Next time let the boy reel in the fish. Would have been more interesting. Someone needs more experience fighting fish before taking video.
But good job
