Telling us to not check out claim every day is like telling us not to breath😆 we’ve got issues… better go back and check my status again quick. Might have updated in the last 10 mins
It took 29 days from submission to decision, do not give up veterans...you can do it by yourself & be your own advocate...except its a lot of due diligence on your part, not anyone else...you got to fight tooth & nail...always fairh, always forward... & great job, Combat Craig...carry on...buddy!!!
The wording of step 5 is ambiguous. What does "deciding your claim" mean? Like whether they approve it or not? Then it says "determining your rating" which should be a different step. Then all the following steps seem like preparing to prepare to standby nonsense.
I won a claim but they low balled my symptoms and gave me the lowest rating. I'm happy that I'm on the board, but not happy about them downplaying my symptoms. I want to fight their ruling but I don't know what to do next. Should I appeal it or request a higher review?
After two years of work with my VSO finally hit 100% super stoked about this! Thanks for all of your videos and advice/guidance you provide. I was hoping for 100% p&t since I have conditions that will not improve so I’ll have to learn how to navigate this last obstacle. Thanks again!
@@JimmyJams87 Your providers usually put that in your medical notes. The words “No improvement” or “Static”. You can comb thru your medical notes on eBenefits. Now you can request your C-file. Which shows all your disabilities and whether they’re static or not. Usually when you reach 100%. The VA checks and can award you P&T status right there.
Claim check is a great feature. How long? I filed a claim in Feb 2013. Increased from 10 to 30 in Sep 2014. Submitted DRO request March 2015. Increased 30 to 50 in Sep 2017. BVA hearing request submitted same month. BVA hearing August 2021. BVA results January 2022 - 50 to 80 and about five issues remanded. Partial remand results in May 2024. 80 to 100 PT with home bound. Several issues remain that deal with retro pay and effective dates. You want a timeline? There it is. Just a long process. Respond to their requests even if it is a duplicate or triple request. Go to C&P exams and keep the faith. BTW, I only used an attorney for the BVA and fired him after the hearing because he was useless. I still check daily despite being 100% - probably check it the rest of my life.
My fellow veterans. We have a huge problem at VA facilities right now. Maybe many of you have noticed LGBT paraphernalia posted all over their lobbies. It’s a huge problem at the Salt Lake campus. I have been fighting them over this for 2 years. The battle is not against that community, it’s against the VA fulfilling the noble mission that they have. I believe they have lost sight of their true mission. They should not be acting as LGBT HQ. The only flag veterans should be looking at in VA facilities is the American flag, the flag that represents all of us. My fight over this is at the point of the VA threatening to arrest me. My voice alone is not enough. We need to take the VA back and get them to honor their sacred mission. Contact your local VA where this is a problem and tell them to knock it off. No violence, no threats, just a lot of voices to make them understand.
I just had a HLR completed that began on Feb 9 2023, found a cue and then supplemental lane, completed on July 29th 2023. Officially the longest claim I've had.
Well, FedEx headquarters is here in Memphis. I get my C&P docs placed right in my door, can't say the same for my other stuff. One of my current claims is growing through the ACE process(IBS) and the other, (Allergic Rhinitis/Sinusitis)TERA process.
I was just denied I claim for back pain with sciatic pain. I supplied a letter from the doc along with X-rays. I never received an exam, the VA just denied it. What steps should I take moving forward. Thank you in advance.
Been sitting at 9 months now on 1 claim with 1 disability. This is getting ridiculous, I've been at 90% for a couple years and this is my third claim, it's never taken this long.
They closed 2 of my claims without making a decision and told me they were going to get them re opened and they haven’t yet. 6 months later calling every 45 days. I don’t know what else to do.
I started a claim January of 2023, it was deinied 1 Jume 23. HLR was sent on 29 June 23, all medical exams were completed 31 October 23. I called yesterday to check in with it and the lady from the VA told me that my claim has been sitting with on one touching it simce January 2024. It been 10 months with out anyone touching my claim.
I filed my first claim in 12 years back in April. I'd been diagnosed with Sleep Apnea while on Active Duty and received my 50% rating shortly after exiting My current claim was filed with the assistance of Texas Veterans Commission. I was stunned that within 2 weeks of submission, I was having my C&P exams. MDD, Spine conditions, nerve pain, Tinitis, and Rhinitis After months of waiting, I saw my claim move to Step 6 and then 7/8 this last Friday. My Tinitis and Rhinitis were approved and everything else was deffered. Back in Step 3. Can't wait to do my next Mental Health C&P, because I'm prepared and ready to advocate for myself. Appreciate your channel!
checked my C&P claim and there is still a yellow alert box saying attorney fee is needed from me. Now it says 5 days past due ....is this delaying a decision? Everyone says there is nothing I need to do..
I submitted 3 new claims and 4 secondaries. All secondaries got c and p, nothing for my new claims requested c and p. Little nervous since it's in decision phase right now. VA said no dbqs or c and p are requested. I've never NOT gotten a c and p for all my claims.
I recently got out of the military and January followed my claims in February and did my CMP exams and April. Still nothing….is that normal? everything I claimed I was seen for while I was in
So what do you do if you just received every piece of mail from 2014. With my correct address, now it just mysteriously shows up. Like all of my VA Mail.
What about privacy act requests for your claim file. I’ve had mine in for 4 months already and it’s still at step 3. I want to see my claims file before submitting my appeals.
Do you mean FOIA requests? Mine took about 5 months to get my C file. They sent it to me on a CD/DVD. I don't have a CD/DVD reader, so it just sits there unread.
@@shepatown ya it’s a FOIA request. I’ve heard it called privacy act too but maybe that’s wrong. You’d think they’d send electronically but I guess 21st century tech is too much to ask..
What about attempting to prove the continuity of care? I have been out 30 years. Don't they want to see additional medical evidence that you were seeing a doc?
I just had total knee replacements one in April the other in June and just got approval for my 100 % temp and 30 for for each knee so I'll bd sitting at 60 and they gave me 10 for bilateral plantar fascitis it was in my records and I had a current diagnosis but they didn't give me anything for my 2 6 inch knee scars do I need to do a supplemental or refile new for both scars they are painful
@esidewand appeal! Do a supplemental claim, higher level review claim or a board of appeals claim. You have 1 year from the decision to submit a higher level review or a board of appeals claim. You can submit a supplemental claim at any time, no time limit.
Who cares? I never saw the old video. This information is helpful for those of us who weren't aware of the information he's discussing. Craig is helping veterans, which is the point.

I literally saw it happen through the VA portal 😂

Step 5 where your claim goes to die😮
Notice of Intent - 5.15.23, submitted fully developed claim - 3.6.24, Decision letter - 7.26.24 142 days from submit to decision.
VA web cite is complicated and confusing. I believe that is intentional.
Recently got approved for Tinnitus. Took 13 weeks from the C&P exam to get approved
Damn. Waiting since April to get my dependents added. No idea who I pissed off there. 😂

I have an appeal for insomnia that is now at 14 months.
Waiting 7 years for a appeal! Had to get a VA lawyer involved!

Congrats to you as well! But I’m not sure, how do I check if they are static or not and does that determine P&T status of the 100%?

Appeal the decision. In the decision letter packet there is a page that tells you the 3 ways to appeal.
Why would you need to study for your exam? Aren't all the answers already there??
Nope lol they look for specific verbiage, learned this 8 yrs ago. If you don't say the right thing you'll get dismissed
Yep, sez the guy who'll be fighting his claim for 20 years and wondering why he keeps getting DENIED!! 😏

Short answer: far too long. Long answer: farrrr too long thanks to the PACT Act. Also appeals take way longer than new claims not shorter.
