The "free horse" shenanigans were something all over the place... Even SSO had to adress it in a public statement. I get the need to bump up the "possibility" of a view with this algorithm. But if their audience is mainly children, as eleanor pointed out, is so twisted. It's not okey. Also, very tiring to see. Hollow and repetive uploads, I don't even want to call it "content".
yeah I was literally complaining about this to my boyfriend that "Star stable online united" kept just uploading videos these days when codes were happening where she just kept showing the exact same insta posts in the videos and just talking about basically the same thing or nothing at all and always clickbaiting the free horse thing, it's literally just trash posting to get views

I assumed it had to do with the series of videos that they released after (the ones with the ultimate racing companion). But yeah, tiny mention that got out of proportion.

It has been rubbing me the wrong way for years on top of the clickbait. I never seen any credit given to the tiktoks owners aside from their watermark or the automatic username put on the video by tiktok. it just feels strange to me.
You should totally make a video about this. More people need to know so they stop falling for the clickbait. Hopefully, if enough creators talk about this, they’ll stop click baiting and spreading false information

I feel like Star Stable Online United used to be a really fun channel. She did challenges, races, livestreams, reactions to C.C.Creations spoiler videos, and other random things that made her fun to watch. Now for the past few years all she does is make 3-5 minute long videos about random updates in sso and glitches. I noticed this a few days ago and then I came across this video lol. Personally, I love small content creators for some reason.

I also want to point out that Star Stable Online United has been blacking out horses and putting them in the thumbnails and putting free star coins and free horse and “hurry quick“ for a couple years now and she didn’t used to be like that. She was nice I used to be friends with her, but she unfriended me when she started to pick up subscribers and moved to night star. Anyways, that’s not the point. Her and Minatozy do this all the time anytime there’s something slightly suspicious on Instagram they put it on full blast and act like there’s a free horse for a couple weeks. I’m so sick and tired of getting spammed with their videos Every single time I try to look up something star stable. I also want to point out both of them make videos longer than eight and 10 minutes, when their commentary ends and their video isn’t long enough to get past the eight minute mark, they just play recording of their horse running around with some annoying music in the background till it reaches past the eight minute mark. On top of that, Minatozy is using AI scripts for her videos, it’s so easy to tell, especially in her Christmas videos. No one talks like that, it’s obviously AI and it makes me so mad because she makes so much money off of this. This needs to stop.
i 100% agree with this. as a small cc, i cannot STAND those channels. i've only unfolllowed SSO ONLINE UNITED and Minatozy now. its so annoying, my sister is 10 and always come to me like "OMGGG LOOK FREE HORSE!" then its fcking not, it was clickbait.

So glad more people are talking about this. To avoid getting clickbaited, a little tip I like to do is hover my cursor over the title of the video. Most of the time it'll say *GIVEAWAY* at the end so be cautious.

Minatozy was known to talk for around 10 minutes each time we got a code, and put it far from the beginning which, gets reeaal obnoxious, and other people were saying that too.
3:08 this! the star stable youtube community is much smaller than how it was compared to its peak, but it really doesnt help when the two biggest creators are clickbait channels and basically overshadow everyone else. there used to be more variety on sso youtube, and "star stable updates" was really the only creator who solely covered updates (although they did not clickbait and were a decent channel). but if you look up star stable now it just seems to be minatozy, sso united, and maybe rattle. it took me a while to find a lot of smaller sso channels that vary in content, and thats unfortunate. im not blaming big content creators for just existing or something, but a lot of the stuff they churn out is just dishonest or misleading.
I miss Star Stable Updates, I wish her the best I watched her too. Her thumbnails were simple and eye catching unlike these two. Right!? I have to scroll so far to find even 1 new/smaller SSO content creator that isn't these two. I get uaing the algorithm to your benefit like posting everyday and catching thumbnails, but false info and lies is to far.
Adding onto this, JustAnotherPixel, as we all know as the Aussie creator, her content is still so good! and her views have dropped quite a bit. She currently has 50k, and views at around 2k. Ofc that's good, but still, her views dropping that much are undeserved.

i'm so glad u made this video. i remember commenting on ur community post some days ago mentioning the clickbait lol, one thing about the clickbait that REALLY annoys me is how they always try to hit the 10 min mark. for example with the new codes, we got one each day and STILL they make a 10+ min video to reveal one single code 😭😭

People have been telling SSO United in the alleged "Gen 4 Friesian" videos repeatedly that the Friesian is going to be Gen 3 and that even SSO confirmed that. The author then even replied to one of those comments, so she 100% knows about it now even if she hadn't known it previously and just mistakenly automatically assumed that the new Friesian will be Gen 4. Yet, even knowing this, she hasn't made any correcting statement to my knowledge and hasn't corrected the videos published anyhow. And I'm not even commenting all those "FREE HORSE!!" "FREE HORSE?" "FREE HORSES!" phrases that were regularly filling both SSO United's and Minatozy's thumbnails and video titles over the entire course of SSO's February codes giveaway. It was just so immoral, annoying, and unfair to the viewers. They both need to realise that this is not the way and they need to actually get more creative and/or do more research with their content if they want to be respected creators. It's MUCH more respectable to do a really thorough and entertaining video once in two weeks than keep uploading repetitive and clickbaity content with some actual upcoming news just here and there (and repeated 5 times in different phrasings) every single day. Lastly, I just want to say that I particularly dislike the "question mark" strategy. Like, if you put a big horse icon over the entire thumbnail with a big red "FREE HORSE??" phrase, it's still clickbait and still misinformation. The question marks don't make it any less confusing. It's clear that it's again a strategy just to attract attention to something that is absolutely not confirmed and perhaps isn't even talked about in the video. I've already seen a video (from Minatozy I think) that had "FREE HORSES" in the title but there was not a single word about any free horses in the video itself.

And if she corrected herself at all, at any point, then it must have been some totally niche small comment in some of her following videos, because there isn't any video from her that includes the correction in the title and/or the thumbnail, and the "Gen 4 Friesian" video is still on her channel. Which makes me quite sad, actually - I can see how much potential she has, she's proven that she can be creative and she's got a good style, too. She really doesn't need to clickbait at all, I would appreciate it so much if she realised it and stopped.
I BEYOND AGREE, star stable United is one thing but minatozys clickbait is BEYOND ridiculous. She likes “get 500 starcoins! I remember watching a video of Minatozy a while back where they were rightfully complaining about how greedy sse had become and how it really affected their motivation to make videos and that they were gonna make some changes to their content. And I swear the clickbait slowly started after that video. I dont get the thought process at all, this company is greedy and doesnt communicated with its consumerd and it makes me mad so I'll become like that too??
I vaguely remember that video and it's so sad to see that may be the direction they went with their content. If money is your only motivation then you shouldn't be making content for many reasons, burn out and lack of creativity is a veiw. Your community can see that in videos if they look, and most of their audience is children so ofc they won't really tell and it's so sad that they use kids for views and money instead of giving them worth while content.

And I thought "huh I know their older thumbnails were flashy too... but this flashy?" and well it started to make sense when I found a 2 year old sso tiktok compliation (tiktok compliations... content that is somehow more lazy than reaction youtubers who dont say a word the entire time... but I digress) ... with the chestnut durchwarmblood in the thumbnail. So while still more truthful, flashy but truthful, the old thumbnails must've been recently edited.

Honestly, even the adult SSO community are sick of their clickbait and misinformation. Every one of their videos that pop up on my feed I want to leave a comment telling them to stop giving false information and lies. I never do but the desire is super strong to.
I know this video is old but it popped up and it is crazy that they are still doing it... I love videos where people actually bring up problems in the community. I feel like people don't want to be the one to "be negative" as it's not "accepted" in this community. But I think people really appreciate transparency and someone speaking the truth.
Can't count how many times I saw an SSO youtube thumbnail that caught my eye, getting me excited, but (fortunately) noticing the video was from Minatozy before clicking it... then immediately getting disappointed because I know it's going to be bullshit lol. I put her videos on my "do not recommend this channel" option now. Content creators who do this sort of thing have a lack of integrity, to put it simply.

Thank you for this! I know this came out a while ago; however, it is something that I have noticed as well... and truthfully, it has become slightly frustrating. The only "Free" horse that has been released is as stated in the video, the Rune Runner, which is paid by hours and hours of hard work so the Rune Runner is more of a Reward imo than a free horse. The only other horse is the Birthday Horse that those who were around for Star Stable's 10th Anniversary and was able to claim the horse which was free only for that year; and if I am not mistaken, years after that, SSO has now made that horse cost star coins, as it was created exclusively for the 10th Anniversary. There's no true "Free" horse in the game to my knowledge, just the Rune Runner (Which again, is paid by hard work) and the 10th Anniversary horse, which is no longer free, due to the event being over with. Thank you again for talking on this! I agree with this completely, this is the one thing that frustrates me with any content - the Clickbait LOL
I’ve been watching SSOU since I was 10-11 (I’m 14 now) and I just don’t enjoy her new videos like her old ones. She used to be fun to watch with most of her videos having her doing training and interacting with the viewers (like doing livestreams that we could participate in) I’ve stopped watching her now and I absolutely love your videos! Thanks for always being down to earth and completely honest in your videos!
I'm sorry that's happened, as a viewer you deserve a nice experience, yeah content creators need to get out of our boxes so times to try new things, but she could have done anything else creative wise, she and minatosy have potential and are just wasting it. Thank you for talking about this. I wacthed Minatozy before she did clickbait, and this have made me change my opionon about her channel. But she still have some good content and I don't think she needs clickbait to make her channel grow. Content creators have an impact on the community, so things like this needs to be adressed. I don't watch SSOU, but spreading misinformation is never okay.

I do agree that SSO united and Minatozy create content with misleading titles and thumbnails (this is the reason I stopped watching SSO united amongst other things), but, idk, I feel like I can think to myself "ofc SSO is not giving away a free horse" because why would they lmao...? I feel like SSO is very predicable with these sorts of things, it's quite easy to spot when they're doing something extraordinary. They NEVER give anything big away for free without a reason; runerunner was the first "free" horse stemming from a long quest line, and the birthday horse was the second, actual free horse because of their 10th anniversary. If you can spot SSO's pattern, it becomes quite logical that they wouldn't just give away a free horse randomly. Of course, the mind of a child probably wont think this logically, so I guess I see your point there. If we're talking about children, then yes, this needs to change because of the reasons you mentioned. Personally I can't stand SSO united's content, but I watch Minatozy quite regularly and I've interpreted the subjects of the videos as mere speculations and conversation topics. I'm one who lieks to thinkg and talk, so maybe that's why😆I've never once heard Minatozy state that we will for sure get a free horse, and the videos have often ended with Minatozy asking the viewers of their thoughts on the matter. As mentioned, though, I do agree that the titles and thumbnails can be misleading and they're definitely serving as click-bait, which is annoying, but if you actually watch the content, you'll know it's never been stated that we'll get anything. Just speculations and interpretations of SSO's content (at least in Minatozy's case, idk about SSO united since I don't watch her). I do see the problematic way of creating this content, and it's annoyed me from time to time, but I thought this was an interesting view on the matter. Thanks for making this video!
I noticed these things, what annoys me the most (when I don't put too much thought into it), other than clickbait free horses and Sharky's Giveaway videos where the word "giveaway" is not visible because the title is too long.. is that their videos are super long when all they have to say is one SC code, I've been clicking their vids just to look at the comments and click the minute markers (where they say the interesting thing) people write to save everyone's time. It did help to follow them because I would have missed some codes if it wasnt for their constant posting of videos, but this doesn't make what they're doing any better😒 Also sometimes i click one of their reels and they say the exact same information multiple times with different sentences and video in the background hhh I actually avoid SSO United more than Minatozy because at least Minatozy doesn't spread as much misinformation as Sharky, she seems to mostly have clickbait titles and long empty sections of the videos, but reading the other comments here I'm starting to question them both more😅
I don’t like the click bait but these creators really created their channel to inform about SSO, make fun videos, and updates about star stable. I don’t think these creators are bad, but I don’t like it when they continuesly make “FREE HORSE *GET IT FAST*” and “NEW FREE HORSE” or “HOW TO GET A FREE HORSE” and it’s just the same thing. But I like the fact that they are kind to do star coin giveaways. I really only watch those and update vids. I really hate the fact that they upload every day too
I believed there was a free horse, but then I got disappointed. I really dislike click-baits they get people hopes up for nothing. I like honest people who would give a good review. I mostly find Star stable online united to be the most annoying. I never realize Minatozy was doing it, but now I see it. I hope they both realize what they are doing and stop. Ive noticed a huge shift in SSO content. As soon as Violet passed that was, in my opinion, a massive turning point. It’s all very much boring copy pastas now which is so sad to see. Also speaking of Violet, when she passed I remember sso promising a memorial for her, but to be honest I’ve stopped catching up with the updates since then, did they ever add one for her? I’ve tried to look it up and there’s nothing :/ Very nice video though, I’ve been waiting for the day somebody mentions this. It’s genuinely sad seeing RUclipsrs gain with very little effort. I have been thinking the exact same thing. But I have always guessed other creators were way too scared to say anything. They are big creators after all. I have unfortunately fallen for the clickbait sometimes. I hate getting my hopes up for *free star coins* or *free horse* that is not even confirmed or real.
I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the "FREE HORSE" in their titles I rushed to see if it was true, but when I noticed that it was something reoccurring in their titles I then realized it was all a hoax and not true. Not long after, I stopped watching their videos as much as I used to and will only go back to when I see that new breeds are due to come out, but then again I will go to C.C Creations to see the breeds and coats as I know those are truthful.
When you see someone being a crap person you call them out. It doesn't matter how big or small, successful or famous you are. It needs to be done. Big channels/companies/etc. keep on doing their shady things because people are scared to call them out for their crap. The only reason why I still follow Minatozy is because she is usually the first one to post about new Codes, and such. And like you said the guides tend to be okay. But generally I don't care for her other content because she is constantly clickbaiting people. Don't even let me get started on SS United. I have found her obnoxious, clickbaity and generally scummy for a very long time.
I enjoy most of SSO United's videos. She just did a fun one about the rarest horses to have in the game. Minatozy's has rubbed me wrong for a while now and both going on about Gen 4 Friesians when even the game has clearly corrected that is alarming. Minatozy used to do fun videos too and her videos sharing how to find difficult things during the events have long been helpful. I think everyone's views are valid and should be taken seriously. We're all apart of this game and should have a voice. Thank you for your honesty.
SSOU definitely has some great fun videos, I agree, just the clickbait can overshadow them. As for Minatozy.. over done, her guids are very helpful but again the clickbait gets in the way.

I agree, it isn't your fault. They've done it so long they learned the best tricks to get away with it. I myself still watch them for guides if I am confused like I said but when it comes to day to day looking for content to watch, there isn't anything entertaining or worthwhile.
I absolutely love how different SSO Content Creators finally step up and talk about this. Even calling them out by their names! It has been going on for a long while now.
I’ve been noticing this for awhile and it’s made me really irritated at both these channels even though I do like some of their content (the real actual content and not the repetitive clickbait) and it’s a shame that these are the channels who’s videos pop up everywhere when you’re looking for sso videos. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being monetized, but it’s unfair and intentionally manipulative to kids to use their gullibility against them like that to get more views and engagement.
I agree with everything, I have a bit of an opinion about SSOU and another creator ( a famous Fire Star RUclipsr) they obviously know their audience very well and it shows. Its kinda disgusting how they can easily manipulate young children for views.
Definitely understand the voice, some people just have voices that are off putting to me, Vtubers put on a "baby" voice and it's the same thing for me, don't like it. No hate to her ofc, you can't be everyones favorite and not everyone will like you for various reasons.

Yeah, I hate to say it but you're right! I've loved both of these creators over the years but the clickbait has gotten WAY out of the hand. Thankfully, I can almost always point it out because I'm an adult and a long-time player of the game but I never even thought about the poor kids it could trick and that to me is sickening. Since children are the main target audience of Star Stable videos, they can be easily tricked by the clickbait and that breaks my heart. When I was a kid playing Star Stable, I'm thankful that I didn't come across a lot of clickbait as it wasn't as common. To use childrens' views for your own benefit is wrong! My personal experience, I hardly watch either anymore due to how bad the clickbait has gotten. And when the REAL star coin codes came out, I didn't believe either of their videos and even missed out on a couple. It's gotten so out of hand and I feel bad for their child viewers. I really hope that these creators take their impact into account and stop this as it's super frustrating.

I started doing research on it and even found people on other platforms, like reddit, talking about this subject. It's sad, bc they KNOW that their viewers are mostly kids. Wanted to talk about it for a while, but since my channel has basically just began and barely any reach, it just wouldn't reach anyone. Saw no one of YT make a video on it, so I'm glad you did!

@@huntermoonhearth those youtube rules mainly concern cases where people lie in an way that causes others some actual harm, for example financially. you can try reporting the videos if you want, but nothing will happen, because youtube has never enforced the rule for simply clickbaiting or exaggerating in the titles. and the repeated content rule is about posting the same exact video over and over again. edit: i feel like this video kinda presents children as way dumber than they are and unable to learn like a normal person? sure is a child on their time seeing these videos gonna think there's a free horse? probably. but any school aged child with normal cognitive development is gonna learn after few videos that the titles are not literal.
I think that the problem are spoilers she found Tik Tok. Like the castle spoilers. We still don't even know what happens to that place. And players get mad. SSO posts the real news. Spoilers are just speculations. @@maia2828

I always felt weird about star stable online united (i dont watch the other youtuber mentioned in the video so i only know ssou) Just today she posted a video with the title "star stable online: FREE ITEMS" and then talking about the trailblazer track. Also theres a lot of videos about star stable codes (which usually are available for all players and easily redeemable) for multiple hundret or thousand starcoins. And then its a guveaway so only one person can win. I think its just unfair to get peoples hopes up (obviously) but it also doesnt give her a permanent fanbase. I used to follow her just because of the giveaways (which is what most pwople do) Idk its all just weird.
I hate to say this since i remember these channels sky rocket beside me. But they really did change. The old videos sso united made were so much more friendly. This is what happens when creators get money hungry. We can now lose our monetization by being inactive. Minotzy and SSO united probably rely a lot on the revenue of youtube and so continue to clickbait and spam their videos!
These are the kind of RUclipsrs I only watch with Adblock on. It's so scumy to use clickbait to get people's attention, especially if the main audience are kids!
I knew of minatozy becuase of Rattle. I like her guides and stuff so i subbed. I started to see the repetitive pattern very quickly. Some videos are soo drawn out and misinformed. If they want to use sso for some monetary gain, sure, but not like this 😭
I get trying to reach that 8 min mark for monetization but if you really are that scrapped for cash and YT is your only form of income you can always just... put the code at the start then idk talk about something? Or just have game play video after with music going. It makes no sense.
I only subscribed to them to get alarmed when there's a new code. If they didn't do that, I would probably never click on their videos, it feels so wrong... The clickbaited thumbnails are getting on my nerves, it really irritates me how they are both responsible adults, and they just exploit kids' naivity. It's truly sad, knowing that they will never change.
We as a community should hunt down new and small creators and support them too, just so hard when the videos being pushed are these 2 for the most part.
Okay so i dont mind sharky and mini THAT much. But every single time I see their "FREE HORSES" , " FREE STARCOINS!!" Thumbnails it reminds me of those stupid scam videos where some dude with an obnoxious voice ties to get kids to listen them for 20 mins straight about how to get robuxs without actually telling them how do it, aka major clickbait. I agree, i didn't realize star stable online united was like that (I barely watch them) but Minatozy have annoyed me for about a year or more, its to the point I avoid even looking at their videos for help with events because of how they are. This video was really needed.
I never really just watches any of their videos I mostly used them for updates and guides as well and I mostly watched minatozys videos for the star coins codes but then she started putting “free horse” in the title and it made me really annoyed so I stopped watching her videos and just made a instagram account for the codes because it was just so irritating and when you look in the comments a lot of people are calling her out for it. SSO united kinds always annoyed me because they just seemed so fake and unrealistic (probably because I’m older) and I can totally see that the audience is for kids so I didn’t really pay much attention to her but I do notice the thumbnails popping up in my fyp and it’s so annoying! I’ll admit that SSO united doesn’t do it as often as Minatozy because Minatozy had like 3 videos in a row saying “free horse” even after people in the comments told her it’s not true it really just had me lose all respect for her and just made me not interested in their content anymore tysm for making this video this is definitely a message so many of us wanted to put out there but didn’t have any way to so thank you!!
Im a child, im 14 and im not going to deny that but i am just at the right mentality to realise how stupid these channels are and manipulative to young children and thats not ok. THIS IS SO TRUE. Star Stable Online United and Minatozy have gone too far with clickbait. I used to love SSOU’S videos but over the months that I watched her, I realised there was actually a lot more clickbait then I thought. I only watch her videos every now and then in case I’ve missed something important in the game etc. (though she tends to always over exaggerate everything).

No hate to both creators yet I do think the gen 4 Friesian Horse thing that was said by SSO United was most likely a misunderstanding, but I do agree that they should've came upfront and said something about the mistake instead of not saying anything about it at all and being misleading and SSO having to come out themselves and say something about it. But Minatozy's thumbnails and titles of the videos can be very misleading, and as a person who used to go to larger creator's pages for information on the game because I didn't have other social media platforms as most children don't, it was very misleading.
Star Stable Online United actually needs to stop with her “500 Star coins giveaways” cuz it is actually most likely not following star stable rules and guidelines. Um, the Gen 4 Friesian IS coming out tho, they didnt know what SSO was caling it before, so they just called it a Gen 4- so No, it is not wrong. And THEY are not the ones saying there is a free horse. SSO is saying that there will be, they even show proof of posts that SSO has made. They arent just making it up. Don't even try. She plastered FREE HORSE on every single code video she released last month. Even after sso came out and said no free horse was coming!! In fact her continuing to do that only further added to great confusion in the community, SSO never even hinted at the idea there could be a free horse but after they publicly announced there would be no free horse? Why is girl still posting her 'free horse' thumbnails at that point?? Because it gets naive kids who don't have any other social media to click on the video. Period.
Starstable online united is truly the queen of fake clickbait 😭 3:43 I personally think minatozy and starstable online united do video spam a lot, partly cause they will make videos about the same thing twice. For example when the mass amount of sc codes were comming out they both posted multiple videos about all the codes in total so far, (especially minatozy), and both went the extra mile and put in "free horses" and stuff like that. I think minatozy is better at posting content like the top ten best horses or somthing, buuut we all have to admit we've already seen so much of that in the sso community.

The "free horse" shenanigans were something all over the place... Even SSO had to adress it in a public statement. I get the need to bump up the "possibility" of a view with this algorithm. But if their audience is mainly children, as eleanor pointed out, is so twisted. It's not okey. Also, very tiring to see. Hollow and repetive uploads, I don't even want to call it "content".

It has been rubbing me the wrong way for years on top of the clickbait. I never seen any credit given to the tiktoks owners aside from their watermark or the automatic username put on the video by tiktok. it just feels strange to me.

I feel like Star Stable Online United used to be a really fun channel. She did challenges, races, livestreams, reactions to C.C.Creations spoiler videos, and other random things that made her fun to watch. Now for the past few years all she does is make 3-5 minute long videos about random updates in sso and glitches. I noticed this a few days ago and then I came across this video lol. Personally, I love small content creators for some reason.
Exactly, though! I remember those days! I would get so excited for the livestreams and I'd be so excited to watch her reactions, but now it's getting to a point where I'm hesitant to watch her anymore.

I also want to point out that Star Stable Online United has been blacking out horses and putting them in the thumbnails and putting free star coins and free horse and “hurry quick“ for a couple years now and she didn’t used to be like that. She was nice I used to be friends with her, but she unfriended me when she started to pick up subscribers and moved to night star. Anyways, that’s not the point. Her and Minatozy do this all the time anytime there’s something slightly suspicious on Instagram they put it on full blast and act like there’s a free horse for a couple weeks. I’m so sick and tired of getting spammed with their videos Every single time I try to look up something star stable. I also want to point out both of them make videos longer than eight and 10 minutes, when their commentary ends and their video isn’t long enough to get past the eight minute mark, they just play recording of their horse running around with some annoying music in the background till it reaches past the eight minute mark. On top of that, Minatozy is using AI scripts for her videos, it’s so easy to tell, especially in her Christmas videos. No one talks like that, it’s obviously AI and it makes me so mad because she makes so much money off of this. This needs to stop.

So glad more people are talking about this. To avoid getting clickbaited, a little tip I like to do is hover my cursor over the title of the video. Most of the time it'll say *GIVEAWAY* at the end so be cautious.
The giveaways do seem to be real. Most I have seen always have a winner but Idk if they announced them in another video later or on another platform

3:08 this! the star stable youtube community is much smaller than how it was compared to its peak, but it really doesnt help when the two biggest creators are clickbait channels and basically overshadow everyone else.
there used to be more variety on sso youtube, and "star stable updates" was really the only creator who solely covered updates (although they did not clickbait and were a decent channel). but if you look up star stable now it just seems to be minatozy, sso united, and maybe rattle.
it took me a while to find a lot of smaller sso channels that vary in content, and thats unfortunate. im not blaming big content creators for just existing or something, but a lot of the stuff they churn out is just dishonest or misleading.
I miss Star Stable Updates, I wish her the best I watched her too. Her thumbnails were simple and eye catching unlike these two.

one thing about the clickbait that REALLY annoys me is how they always try to hit the 10 min mark. for example with the new codes, we got one each day and STILL they make a 10+ min video to reveal one single code 😭😭

People have been telling SSO United in the alleged "Gen 4 Friesian" videos repeatedly that the Friesian is going to be Gen 3 and that even SSO confirmed that. The author then even replied to one of those comments, so she 100% knows about it now even if she hadn't known it previously and just mistakenly automatically assumed that the new Friesian will be Gen 4. Yet, even knowing this, she hasn't made any correcting statement to my knowledge and hasn't corrected the videos published anyhow.
And I'm not even commenting all those "FREE HORSE!!" "FREE HORSE?" "FREE HORSES!" phrases that were regularly filling both SSO United's and Minatozy's thumbnails and video titles over the entire course of SSO's February codes giveaway. It was just so immoral, annoying, and unfair to the viewers. They both need to realise that this is not the way and they need to actually get more creative and/or do more research with their content if they want to be respected creators. It's MUCH more respectable to do a really thorough and entertaining video once in two weeks than keep uploading repetitive and clickbaity content with some actual upcoming news just here and there (and repeated 5 times in different phrasings) every single day.
Lastly, I just want to say that I particularly dislike the "question mark" strategy. Like, if you put a big horse icon over the entire thumbnail with a big red "FREE HORSE??" phrase, it's still clickbait and still misinformation. The question marks don't make it any less confusing. It's clear that it's again a strategy just to attract attention to something that is absolutely not confirmed and perhaps isn't even talked about in the video. I've already seen a video (from Minatozy I think) that had "FREE HORSES" in the title but there was not a single word about any free horses in the video itself.
So she does know. I figured she did or didn't, had she I hoped she would have corrected herself, but I guess I was wrong.

And if she corrected herself at all, at any point, then it must have been some totally niche small comment in some of her following videos, because there isn't any video from her that includes the correction in the title and/or the thumbnail, and the "Gen 4 Friesian" video is still on her channel. Which makes me quite sad, actually - I can see how much potential she has, she's proven that she can be creative and she's got a good style, too. She really doesn't need to clickbait at all, I would appreciate it so much if she realised it and stopped.

I remember watching a video of Minatozy a while back where they were rightfully complaining about how greedy sse had become and how it really affected their motivation to make videos and that they were gonna make some changes to their content. And I swear the clickbait slowly started after that video. I dont get the thought process at all, this company is greedy and doesnt communicated with its consumerd and it makes me mad so I'll become like that too??
I vaguely remember that video and it's so sad to see that may be the direction they went with their content. If money is your only motivation then you shouldn't be making content for many reasons, burn out and lack of creativity is a veiw. Honestly, even the adult SSO community are sick of their clickbait and misinformation. Every one of their videos that pop up on my feed I want to leave a comment telling them to stop giving false information and lies. I never do but the desire is super strong to.

Can't count how many times I saw an SSO youtube thumbnail that caught my eye, getting me excited, but (fortunately) noticing the video was from Minatozy before clicking it... then immediately getting disappointed because I know it's going to be bullshit lol. I put her videos on my "do not recommend this channel" option now. Content creators who do this sort of thing have a lack of integrity, to put it simply.

Thank you for this! I know this came out a while ago; however, it is something that I have noticed as well... and truthfully, it has become slightly frustrating. The only "Free" horse that has been released is as stated in the video, the Rune Runner, which is paid by hours and hours of hard work so the Rune Runner is more of a Reward imo than a free horse.
The only other horse is the Birthday Horse that those who were around for Star Stable's 10th Anniversary and was able to claim the horse which was free only for that year; and if I am not mistaken, years after that, SSO has now made that horse cost star coins, as it was created exclusively for the 10th Anniversary.
There's no true "Free" horse in the game to my knowledge, just the Rune Runner (Which again, is paid by hard work) and the 10th Anniversary horse, which is no longer free, due to the event being over with.

I’ve been watching SSOU since I was 10-11 (I’m 14 now) and I just don’t enjoy her new videos like her old ones. She used to be fun to watch with most of her videos having her doing training and interacting with the viewers (like doing livestreams that we could participate in) I’ve stopped watching her now and I absolutely love your videos! Thanks for always being down to earth and completely honest in your videos!
I'm sorry that's happened, as a viewer you deserve a nice experience, yeah content creators need to get out of our boxes so times to try new things, but she could have done anything else creative wise, she and minatosy have potential and are just wasting it.

But she still have some good content and I don't think she needs clickbait to make her channel grow. Content creators have an impact on the community, so things like this needs to be adressed. I don't watch SSOU, but spreading misinformation is never okay.

I do agree that SSO united and Minatozy create content with misleading titles and thumbnails (this is the reason I stopped watching SSO united amongst other things), but, idk, I feel like I can think to myself "ofc SSO is not giving away a free horse" because why would they lmao...? I feel like SSO is very predicable with these sorts of things, it's quite easy to spot when they're doing something extraordinary. They NEVER give anything big away for free without a reason; runerunner was the first "free" horse stemming from a long quest line, and the birthday horse was the second, actual free horse because of their 10th anniversary. If you can spot SSO's pattern, it becomes quite logical that they wouldn't just give away a free horse randomly. Of course, the mind of a child probably wont think this logically, so I guess I see your point there.
If we're talking about children, then yes, this needs to change because of the reasons you mentioned. Personally I can't stand SSO united's content, but I watch Minatozy quite regularly and I've interpreted the subjects of the videos as mere speculations and conversation topics. I'm one who lieks to thinkg and talk, so maybe that's why😆I've never once heard Minatozy state that we will for sure get a free horse, and the videos have often ended with Minatozy asking the viewers of their thoughts on the matter. As mentioned, though, I do agree that the titles and thumbnails can be misleading and they're definitely serving as click-bait, which is annoying, but if you actually watch the content, you'll know it's never been stated that we'll get anything. Just speculations and interpretations of SSO's content (at least in Minatozy's case, idk about SSO united since I don't watch her). I do see the problematic way of creating this content, and it's annoyed me from time to time, but I thought this was an interesting view on the matter. Thanks for making this video!
I noticed these things, what annoys me the most (when I don't put too much thought into it), other than clickbait free horses and Sharky's Giveaway videos where the word "giveaway" is not visible because the title is too long.. is that their videos are super long when all they have to say is one SC code, I've been clicking their vids just to look at the comments and click the minute markers (where they say the interesting thing) people write to save everyone's time.
It did help to follow them because I would have missed some codes if it wasnt for their constant posting of videos, but this doesn't make what they're doing any better😒
Also sometimes i click one of their reels and they say the exact same information multiple times with different sentences and video in the background hhh
I actually avoid SSO United more than Minatozy because at least Minatozy doesn't spread as much misinformation as Sharky, she seems to mostly have clickbait titles and long empty sections of the videos, but reading the other comments here I'm starting to question them both more😅

I don’t like the click bait but these creators really created their channel to inform about SSO, make fun videos, and updates about star stable. I don’t think these creators are bad, but I don’t like it when they continuesly make “FREE HORSE *GET IT FAST*” and “NEW FREE HORSE” or “HOW TO GET A FREE HORSE” and it’s just the same thing. But I like the fact that they are kind to do star coin giveaways. I really only watch those and update vids. I really hate the fact that they upload every day too

The only time I do watch them is for help.

Ive noticed a huge shift in SSO content. As soon as Violet passed that was, in my opinion, a massive turning point. It’s all very much boring copy pastas now which is so sad to see. Also speaking of Violet, when she passed I remember sso promising a memorial for her, but to be honest I’ve stopped catching up with the updates since then, did they ever add one for her? I’ve tried to look it up and there’s nothing :/

I have been thinking the exact same thing. But I have always guessed other creators were way too scared to say anything. They are big creators after all. I have unfortunately fallen for the clickbait sometimes. I hate getting my hopes up for *free star coins* or *free horse* that is not even confirmed or real.
I used to love sso united and minatozy but now I find them both very annoying to watch.
I'm not gonna lie, when I first saw the "FREE HORSE" in their titles I rushed to see if it was true, but when I noticed that it was something reoccurring in their titles I then realized it was all a hoax and not true.
Not long after, I stopped watching their videos as much as I used to and will only go back to when I see that new breeds are due to come out, but then again I will go to C.C Creations to see the breeds and coats as I know those are truthful.
C.C Creations is my go to for spoilers and their videos are so well done.

I used to play sso, I did watch Star Stable united a lot. Mostly for star coin codes, and new horses. I remember mostly watching honeyheartC.
When you see someone being a crap person you call them out. It doesn't matter how big or small, successful or famous you are. It needs to be done. Big channels/companies/etc. keep on doing their shady things because people are scared to call them out for their crap. The only reason why I still follow Minatozy is because she is usually the first one to post about new Codes, and such. And like you said the guides tend to be okay. But generally I don't care for her other content because she is constantly clickbaiting people. Don't even let me get started on SS United. I have found her obnoxious, clickbaity and generally scummy for a very long time.
SSOU use to be my fav RUclipsr. I watch her super excited, then suddenly all her videos came to spoilers and I just unsubbed. I miss her old videos

I enjoy most of SSO United's videos. She just did a fun one about the rarest horses to have in the game. Minatozy's has rubbed me wrong for a while now and both going on about Gen 4 Friesians when even the game has clearly corrected that is alarming. Minatozy used to do fun videos too and her videos sharing how to find difficult things during the events have long been helpful. I think everyone's views are valid and should be taken seriously. We're all apart of this game and should have a voice. Thank you for your honesty.
SSOU definitely has some great fun videos, I agree, just the clickbait can overshadow them. As for Minatozy.. over done, her guids are very helpful but again the clickbait gets in the way.

I agree, it isn't your fault. They've done it so long they learned the best tricks to get away with it. I myself still watch them for guides if I am confused like I said but when it comes to day to day looking for content to watch, there isn't anything entertaining or worthwhile.

I’ve been noticing this for awhile and it’s made me really irritated at both these channels even though I do like some of their content (the real actual content and not the repetitive clickbait) and it’s a shame that these are the channels who’s videos pop up everywhere when you’re looking for sso videos. I don’t think there is anything wrong with being monetized, but it’s unfair and intentionally manipulative to kids to use their gullibility against them like that to get more views and engagement.
I agree with everything, I have a bit of an opinion about SSOU and another creator ( a famous Fire Star RUclipsr) they obviously know their audience very well and it shows. Its kinda disgusting how they can easily manipulate young children for views.

Definitely understand the voice, some people just have voices that are off putting to me, Vtubers put on a "baby" voice and it's the same thing for me, don't like it. No hate to her ofc, you can't be everyones favorite and not everyone will like you for various reasons.

Yeah, I hate to say it but you're right! I've loved both of these creators over the years but the clickbait has gotten WAY out of the hand. Thankfully, I can almost always point it out because I'm an adult and a long-time player of the game but I never even thought about the poor kids it could trick and that to me is sickening. Since children are the main target audience of Star Stable videos, they can be easily tricked by the clickbait and that breaks my heart. When I was a kid playing Star Stable, I'm thankful that I didn't come across a lot of clickbait as it wasn't as common. To use childrens' views for your own benefit is wrong! My personal experience, I hardly watch either anymore due to how bad the clickbait has gotten. And when the REAL star coin codes came out, I didn't believe either of their videos and even missed out on a couple. It's gotten so out of hand and I feel bad for their child viewers. I really hope that these creators take their impact into account and stop this as it's super frustrating.

I started doing research on it and even found people on other platforms, like reddit, talking about this subject. It's sad, bc they KNOW that their viewers are mostly kids. Wanted to talk about it for a while, but since my channel has basically just began and barely any reach, it just wouldn't reach anyone. Saw no one of YT make a video on it, so I'm glad you did!
I linked 2 other videos with a few more important points on the issue as well go check them out by 2 other creators. I definitely wasn't the first to talk about this issue.

@@huntermoonhearth those youtube rules mainly concern cases where people lie in an way that causes others some actual harm, for example financially. you can try reporting the videos if you want, but nothing will happen, because youtube has never enforced the rule for simply clickbaiting or exaggerating in the titles. and the repeated content rule is about posting the same exact video over and over again.
edit: i feel like this video kinda presents children as way dumber than they are and unable to learn like a normal person? sure is a child on their time seeing these videos gonna think there's a free horse? probably. but any school aged child with normal cognitive development is gonna learn after few videos that the titles are not literal.

I always felt weird about star stable online united (i dont watch the other youtuber mentioned in the video so i only know ssou)
Just today she posted a video with the title "star stable online: FREE ITEMS" and then talking about the trailblazer track. Also theres a lot of videos about star stable codes (which usually are available for all players and easily redeemable) for multiple hundret or thousand starcoins. And then its a guveaway so only one person can win.
I think its just unfair to get peoples hopes up (obviously) but it also doesnt give her a permanent fanbase. I used to follow her just because of the giveaways (which is what most pwople do)

I hate to say this since i remember these channels sky rocket beside me. But they really did change. The old videos sso united made were so much more friendly. This is what happens when creators get money hungry. We can now lose our monetization by being inactive. Minotzy and SSO united probably rely a lot on the revenue of youtube and so continue to clickbait and spam their videos!

I knew of minatozy becuase of Rattle. I like her guides and stuff so i subbed. I started to see the repetitive pattern very quickly. Some videos are soo drawn out and misinformed. If they want to use sso for some monetary gain, sure, but not like this 😭
I get trying to reach that 8 min mark for monetization but if you really are that scrapped for cash and YT is your only form of income you can always just... put the code at the start then idk talk about something? Or just have game play video after with music going. It makes no sense.

I never really just watches any of their videos I mostly used them for updates and guides as well and I mostly watched minatozys videos for the star coins codes but then she started putting “free horse” in the title and it made me really annoyed so I stopped watching her videos and just made a instagram account for the codes because it was just so irritating and when you look in the comments a lot of people are calling her out for it. SSO united kinds always annoyed me because they just seemed so fake and unrealistic (probably because I’m older) and I can totally see that the audience is for kids so I didn’t really pay much attention to her but I do notice the thumbnails popping up in my fyp and it’s so annoying! I’ll admit that SSO united doesn’t do it as often as Minatozy because Minatozy had like 3 videos in a row saying “free horse” even after people in the comments told her it’s not true it really just had me lose all respect for her and just made me not interested in their content anymore tysm for making this video this is definitely a message so many of us wanted to put out there but didn’t have any way to so thank you!!

THIS IS SO TRUE. Star Stable Online United and Minatozy have gone too far with clickbait. I used to love SSOU’S videos but over the months that I watched her, I realised there was actually a lot more clickbait then I thought. I only watch her videos every now and then in case I’ve missed something important in the game etc. (though she tends to always over exaggerate everything).

Star Stable Online United actually needs to stop with her “500 Star coins giveaways” cuz it is actually most likely not following star stable rules and guidelines. Recently, around a month ago, StarStableOnlineUnited posted a video saying “500 STAR COIN GIVEAWAY”, I decided to try it myself and asked star stable support how to do it, and guess what their response was? “Sorry, we don’t give people codes like that. You can wait until a new code drops for everyone.” How is she doing this?

Um, the Gen 4 Friesian IS coming out tho, they didnt know what SSO was caling it before, so they just called it a Gen 4- so No, it is not wrong. And THEY are not the ones saying there is a free horse. SSO is saying that there will be, they even show proof of posts that SSO has made. They arent just making it up. And yes, they have corrected themselves on the new Gen 3 Friesian.

Don't even try. She plastered FREE HORSE on every single code video she released last month. Even after sso came out and said no free horse was coming!! In fact her continuing to do that only further added to great confusion in the community, SSO never even hinted at the idea there could be a free horse but after they publicly announced there would be no free horse? Why is girl still posting her 'free horse' thumbnails at that point?? Because it gets naive kids who don't have any other social media to click on the video. Period.

3:43 I personally think minatozy and starstable online united do video spam a lot, partly cause they will make videos about the same thing twice. For example when the mass amount of sc codes were comming out they both posted multiple videos about all the codes in total so far, (especially minatozy), and both went the extra mile and put in "free horses" and stuff like that.
I think minatozy is better at posting content like the top ten best horses or somthing, buuut we all have to admit we've already seen so much of that in the sso community.
