Hiii there is new news!! AO is returning this month or in February

Not knowing what is happening now is annoying me. I play Ao since 2017 now, to be honest, since a longer time I didn‘t really played active anymore, only when there were events, or when I wanted to play it, I played it also again before the shutdown were, before I also reached something in game which I tried longgg to reach it, that the server got down not long after it is so sad, because in the whole time I really wanted to play Ao again, I just hope they can bring back the Ao servers, I saw a Video in my native languge where someone talked with I think alex, it got said in the video Ao would come back but also SoA would come. So I don‘t know, I hope we get to know more information about what is now soon, many people wait. I understand that it is maybe pressur the whole questions, but it‘s also Understandble that we wanna know what is now. I kinda think a little Information would just be fair

they're hoping to 'fix' the toxic community? lmao, good luck to them on this crusade. i once got ridiculed and harrassed for calling ao a private server - exactly what it is. i just happened to have this conversation with people who had zero tech ed. 'i've never heard about it, so it's not real and you're making this up'. i wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even know what their current os was. i was definitely in the right there, but i was alone and there were many of them, so i ended up belittled, insulted and blocked. it's insane, but in ao, it's just a normal day.

I don’t want to piss anyone off with my questions, I haven’t played in a really long time and I was never really informed in the community. Is AO still down? And does AO contain some type of a virus? I know this has been an argument for a longer time now but no one seems to be actually answering this. I recently downloaded malwarebytes and I got a warning for the alicia launcher, eventough it never warned about AO before.

I've been having *so* many fever dreams about Alicia, where the game comes back online and I spend hours racing, only to wake up and be so disappointed that it wasn't real 🥲. I'm glad we have SOA, though I haven't downloaded it yet as it won't feel the same without all the horses I spent so much time breeding. I just wish they'd give us a solid update rather than the "we're working on it" comments we get once every few months. We've not gotten an 'official' update via Discord since September. Sure, they don't really owe us anything as the game is free, but players have dedicated *years* to this game. Without players, there would be no game, full stop. The least those players deserve is honesty and transparency.

I also supported sylvie back when she was around 20k. Then I heard about the N word situation and dipped. Completely forgot about her until now because I saw a video of someone logging on to her sso account and selling horses and such.

I'm very glad they're finally going to take care of this. I didn't play the game for 6 years, learn every shortcurt, learn how to constantly click "W" on my keyboard by muscle memory, calculate which tack will give me the best skill bonus and level up every single horse I own just for someone to unfairly set their horse's swiftness to 30 or more in 10 minutes with a stupid cheat program.

As much as we all want to see cheaters finally punished, I doubt that they'll be stopped from making new accounts to get around the bans. 😔

So if more and more cheat at getting different coats on horses they already have then they are not buying sc and that will affect the game over all in the long run, so in turn it will affect you at some point

haven’t watched yet, but I hope SO badly that they fix the race score leaderboard glitchers, like y’know the people on the leaderboard that somehow finish the race in under 2 seconds when the race usually takes at least 2 minutes to finish?.. yeah

well, I have heard stories of people getting banned for wearing the reindeer skin outside of Christmas, being lvl 27 and so on. To me that is scary. I hope they have a handle on unnecessary ban situations before they go ahead with the zero tolerance. Yes, I purchased the buckskin sport today. Since they are staying in game, I will keep the others in mind for later. Happy Holidays, All.

Tbh i dont think a zero tollerance is good. I have heard other players saying that they get kicked out daily for cheating while doing gardening in valedale. I think there should be like 1 day bans or up to a month (only 1 week+ if someone cheats while doing a race or champinship)and not accounts being deleted or being banned permanentely. I havent watched the video yet but i‘ve read the comments so idk if anything i said has been mentioned in the video already.

YESSSSS finally! I haven’t watched the whole video yet but I’m assuming what kickstarted the movement was that guy soliciting nudes from minors to have access to his cheating software. Finally justice!!!!

7:58 I don’t understand cheating in sso races, not only because it’s a horse game, but also because that’s like the most fun part of sso imo. It has actual challenge 😭

I am exited to see a stop to all the exuses around cheters and modders for this game. If you cant play onest in a horse game made for children stay out.

As much as I love punishing cheaters, a zero-tolerance scares me because SSO is so buggy. I don't cheat, I don't see the point in cheating, but at the Winter Word, the first race with the giant ice-slide got me kicked because I jumped, which made me go down fast, and then I jumped again, which made me go down even faster. I was so fast, SSO detected cheating (or someone reported me, idk) and I was kicked. Non banned, thankfully (SSO would've heard from me, I would've been ON their asses, mark my words, I'm not losing my account), but still kicked. Again, I wasn't cheating. I was using the game's mechanics; I don't think that qualify as cheating. This was entirely SS's fault and I'm just imaging me, in the future, being outright banned because my horse got stuck on a rock and launched me into to stratosphere. Idk. I like the idea but... I don't trust SSO not to harm innocent players

Damnn i remember downloading it for the first time a few years ago on christmas and i always log in from time to time and i was wondering why i coulent for the past few months... Welp now i know

First of all, thank you for making this video. Although I visited their facebook page nearly every single day since the game shut down, I still didn't read a majority of the screenshots you mentioned since they deleted about 300 and more comments within the past few weeks (funny thing since Kuri herself stated that they wouldn't delete any comments when someone else pointed it out around october). About this whole "Alex once threatened to make the servers russian only" thing; either, as someone in the comments already pointed it out, he has some huge power problems and loves to play with the "power" he has over us or he is simply delusional and blind. His russian fellows are a lot, but definitely not innocent angels when it comes to the majority of them. However, it also seemes quite unrealistic to me since Kuri herself is german. He wouldn't kick her out of the game now, would he? Since they didn't say anything for the past weeks, not even in any comments under their last facebook post, it really feels like they have choosen to give up on the game in total silence. During the past months we at least had an annoyed (and quite disrespecting) Kuri telling us that Alex would be working on it; but nowadays, I don't know, I'm just waiting for the final end. I'm just happy that - thanks to SoA - it is quite obvious that people are still interested in making Alicia work; it's just simply the Team itself which seems to disapprove of any new person. -And if anyone has read my shittalk about it all till here, I'm sorry for my bad grammar, its not my native language xD-

the thing is. people are FED UP with the ghosting. also WHY is kuri always speaking for alex? and if alex has problems with the game he should tell his community that HE build what the PROBLEMS are! both of them have a shady reputation so idk. also if alex is fed up with managing ao he should just say it. if you’re burnt out by your hobby/passion project tell your community what’s going on. edit: i think alex is also the type of guy who likes to have power. since he has all our data and many people miss their accounts. (also the threat with making his server russian exclusive) kinda manipulative but oh well!

i think soa is gonna be a dead game. its not even mainstream and most of ao players don’t even know about it. i mean yeah cool you can create your own servers but i bet people will be making servers like „russian only“ or something like that. and many people don’t want to make a full on new account just to get their dream horses again.

“Luckily we know EXACTLY what to do in such situations, however a full system check is also required.” (From the first post after the server went down) I can only laugh atp 💀 I really don’t expect Alex to show up, he was barely seen in the community imagine now with people wanting his head :/

finally i found a video on this! i have been trying to get into it for atleast about a month? after a hiatus for over a year, ive been so confused why i couldent get into the game. its so sad. i absolutely loved that game.

I know this video is old but it popped up and it is crazy that they are still doing it... I love videos where people actually bring up problems in the community. I feel like people don't want to be the one to "be negative" as it's not "accepted" in this community. But I think people really appreciate transparency and someone speaking the truth.

I was just telling my boyfriend about this game last night and about how if it ever comes back up I wanted to play it together, damn. It's been so hard to find information on it though, for me at least, so thank you for this video. I've been wondering if it was my PC or the game being down for years, and finally have my answer.

Honestly bringing back AO was a personal hoby that just benefited other people. Even though Alex and Kuri have been notoriously on a bad reputation for years it doesn't change that fact. They shot themselves in the foot by promising things, but at the end of the day they don't own anyone anything. Especially their time lol. To me this is like someone decorating their garden. The community loves it, the person keeps doing that and including the community and then the person decides it's not for them anymore one day.. then the village tries to burn the person down for not doing what they want lol. If people really want the game that bad there's the internet. Start with coding courses etc. Then realise after a few years the demands you've been having. Wasting time on hobbies doesn't feed you nor pay bills. Passions burn out.
