- In this video we leave Bill Frederick city park and head to Thousand Trails Peace River RV resort. We give you our thoughts about the Peace River location and if we're likely to go back. We really like Peace River. It can nice and relaxing there but agree not much in the area. It was so nice meeting you Chris and hope we see you again so we can meet Katrina.

Ok. First comment - stop telling folks about Bill Frederick Park. The first rule of BFP is that no one can know about BFP.
Second comment - when in Peace River TT, go and visit Highland Hammocks State Park and sign up for their trolly tour. You will NOT be disappointed. Well worth drive...and some nice hiking trails.
Great Video! We haven't stayed at Peace River yet. We normally shuffle between TTO and Three Flags.

Love Bill Frederick park! We couldn’t get into Fort Wilderness all the days we needed. Can’t beat the price $20/$25 and location near all the Orlando theme parks.

Tucker was so happy to be back! 🐕 We go back and forth with our Thousand Trails membership. Right now we're at TTO (Orlando) and absolutely LOVE it! Some of the other campgrounds not so much. It hit or miss for us.

We had so much fun guys. Can't wait to see you again sometime down the road. Of course, Tucker was glad to see his daddy. That Yellow Deli and Bakery was so good. We agree that there isn't a ton to do or see in the area as it is in some of the areas in Florida. Tucker liked it case he was reunited with his people.

Thanks for the video. There are alligators in the Peace River, so I would not get that close with the pets. We have done the Florida shuffle for two years, and now use our high season reservations only on Orlando. We also like Three Flags.

I finally bought a used 40 foot class A Motorhome and I’m on my first trip with my dog. We went from Louisiana to Hot Springs Arkansas. I’m still really nervous and get stressed when driving not so much interstate but when I need to exit or in town. I booked a trip to Thousand Trails in Orlando and then to Peace River after. Wish it would have been same time as you two. I’m still trying to figure out and learn everything and get use to all of it. I enjoy my alone time but I’m sure it would be a lot better as a couple. Hi guys, we met you at the gs station in Cortez, CO. We’ve been in Florida since January 9 and are in Port St. Lucie right now. We started in the Keys and hav been zi-zagging our way north. We will be moving a few more times before heading north at the end of March. Safe travels.

I love you guys and I can tell you aren't from around here. I am in SWF. Walking a dog is not when you want to see a gator. People and their pets get injured and or killed all the time. They will jump out of hiding to grab pets and that's usually how the dog walker gets envolved trying to save the pet. Believe me, gators see you way before you see them. Be safe ❤

We canoed and camped the Peace River every year. We had a tent and all the comforts of home packed into our canoe. We've been down or up every river in Florida! Now we are looking forward to RV life!

a "stick" gator :) When we lived in Sarasota we went to Arcadia for dart tournaments and Lyn would be there couple times a month with the doctor she worked with. You were in the "nice" part of it for sure!!

@@oureverydaygetaway STICK gators can't bite :) Lyn says I was wrong, not the Peace River but was the Alafi River.....but now that I think about it can't believe we tubed in ANY FL rivers now!!
Heading to bill Fredericks in a few weeks. Peace River was totally flooded at one point I'd be hesitant to drink the water even with filters. Enjoy🙂

Are all of those sites still closed?
Not sure we were there in January. Fingers crossed their open for winter 2024.
We were thereto first day they started taking people back in after the hurricane. Had some issues with the management but overall a beautiful camping park in the middle of nowhere. There is just not much to do in the area. We did manage to hit the Rodeo when it came to town. But the Hot tub was Luke our whole stay. I do drone videos of each park on youtube. I would not want to go back, nothing there. Chance of flooding in low areas.
Chris didn't add it to the video but the last thing I told him was I would only go back if we knew someone else going so we had another couple to hang out with. Take care and enjoy your travels. 😊

To be honest it's not one of our favorite Thousand Trails. It's just okay in our opinion.
