- We continue our travel to ALASKA via the Alcan or Alaska Highway. Is it overrated? This is just the first part of the ALCAN Highway; the best is yet to come. We stop at some great boondocking areas and share our opinions about the Alaska Highway so far.

I must say that out of the dozen RV channels I watch, I think yours and Happily Ever Hanks are the most genuine. You interact well together, love Tucker to bits, don't go over the top with your comments, and seem like overall lovely people just enjoying life. Well done and I hope you have many more years of travel to come.
I agree with you those are two genuine channels!
Thank you so very much! We really appreciate it. ❤
What a very kind thing to say. Chris has been a little in the dumps recently so your comment really meant a lot. Thanks for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. Safe travels and have an awesome summer!
@@oureverydaygetaway Thank you but we're in winter here in sunny Queensland Australia. I hope Chris has his mojo back and looking forward to your next video. Looking to book my trip over to Vancouver and Oregon later today. Oregon is my favourite state. Also helps I have a great friend there. Safe travels guys.
Great video guys. This is on my bucket list. So, thanks for sharing your journey. Safe travels
Our pleasure!
Thank you both for the Alaska series vids. It's on our bucket list!
You bet!
From Tucker attentively gnawing at his paws, Chris with a goatee, and the YMCA Muncho Lake parody, I enjoyed this video a lot. Thank you!🙏🏾❤️👍🏾
Thank you! Just another day in paradise! 😁
We are Enjoying your journey
So kind. Thank you!
The wife enjoyed the macho man commentary. Wow, that camp spot! You guys have the best YT RV videos!

Glad you enjoyed it. More to come!
Great scenery and driving video. Music choice is great. I bet Katrina picked it, lol. Fantastic trip!
Thanks so much! Wish I could take credit for the music but it was all Chris.😊
The views are amazing!!!!! Sweet Tucker.
They really are! He's a good boy. 😊
Each video gets more exciting. Pretty views.
Thank you! Glad you think so!
Well done video. Kudos.
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome sights on this road. Great information! Thanks, continue safe travels.
Thanks for watching!
Was great seeing y’all at Mile Marker 0 campground and exchanging stickers! We made it up the highway a little faster than you did because we had to pick up our daughter at the airport in Anchorage. We did slow it down quite a bit on the way back, stopping at Whitehorse,Watson Lake and Liard Hot Springs etc.
Nice to meet you as well. Sounds like you guys are having an Amazing trip as well. Safe travels guys.
@@oureverydaygetaway we just returned a few days ago. Back in Florida dealing with the hurricane!
Oh no, sorry to hear that. Prayers that you don't get hurt or have any damage to your rig.
Hi Chris and Katrina! I knew what you meant Chris when you said claw. I knew what you meant. Wow! Wild fire there in Alaska. There’s a lot of fires going on in a lot of states. Turkey burgers yummy! I love turkey burgers. My brother he eats those too! And turkey meatloaf. Wow! A beautiful area to pull over to. Nice lake. Sad it’s too cold out to go swimming. That’s weird that a gas station holds your ID until you are done pumping gas. Chris you are funny moocho macho man. Oh it Muncho Lake you made a sing about. How cute! Hope you both have a great week. See you soon. Safe travels.
Hey Sherri! Hope your having an Amazing summer! It's definitely Beautiful up here. If we could change anything it would be to maybe have a little warmer weather but all in all a Fantastic trip!
Love Alaska, and love y’all! When y’all get to Fairbanks, you gotta travel north on the Dalton Hwy and stop at Hilltop truck stop for pie. It’s north of Fox, just a bit. My folks lives almost in Livengood, and I stop there every time I visit. I promise y’all will be so glad you went for the pie!!
You had me "Katrina" at pie! 😁
@@oureverydaygetaway I know how you love your pie! They have one called Mrs. Fat Man hahaha
We can't wait to get to Alaska, so fearful of the roads and journey
Alaska is Amazing! Don't be afraid of the roads. As long as you go slow in certain places you'll be fine. No problems.
Looks like the cute pup was chewing his claw - his dew claw! The site next to the lake is lovely. I’m assuming finding spots to park is no big deal…?
This was one of our favorite spots for sure. Absolutely no big deal finding spots.
@@oureverydaygetaway awesome to hear!
"Chewing his claw" 😂. Love the slips. U have bears on your mind apparently.
And laundry day! 🤢, just a necessary evil, like dishes.
Never heard of handing over your id for fuel pumping, but if they don't have prepay, than its gonna stop anybody thieving, so good idea.
I hope to do a trip like this someday after I meet other single rv'ers who want to do it too, it's just too remote imo by oneself. Am I right?? 🤔
Have no problem traveling single anywhere else though 😂. 🍻
In our travels we've only run into very nice helpful people. That's not to say there aren't some crazy going on out there. It's really no different here than traveling any other place we've been in the US. Safe travels and have an amazing summer!
You guys are crazy funny nuts.
At least one of us are!😁😁
Great video thank you!
Our pleasure!
Thanks for sharing..love seeing the views!
Our pleasure!
I always thought it was the Alcan Highway and didn't realize it was actually called Alcon Highway.
Our bad. It is Alcan.
Interesting about having to give them your ID to pump gas. Clearly, they have had issues with people filling up and driving off. Some of it looked like a dirt road.... was it? Get fuel when you see a station, Got it! So sad about the fires, but glad you were able to go through. 😔 Nice there is an Emergency system in place. It helps that you are traveling with friends, so you are not alone. Beautiful scenery. WOW. They have Provinces, we have States. - Michelle
There are quite a few differences up here than in the states. Canada was Amazing but makes us appreciate the states.
Hey that’s our site at Muncho Lake did you dirty it up for us 😂
We left it in pristine condition just for you guys! 😁
Lol! Alcan and Outhouse and if you do the US exchange our Provincial sites are $15 US. Pretty special view for 15 bucks! Enjoy your Getaway…..
We'll take $15.00 with these views any day! Such an awesome adventure!
Very nice campground. How do keep your refrigerator cold with all the longer drive days. Do you run it on propane when driving or just start it up when you get parked. We normally just run our on electricity at home till we leave then get it plugged in at state park when get to site. BUT we normally travel less than 2 hours so just wondering how you do it with the road side boondocking and longer travel days. Have great time in Alaska.
Solar and DC to DC charger it runs full time.
We switch our refrigerator to propane while driving or boondocking.
Lol it’s called a Pilot car!
Your correct.
What day month was this filmed. If you stated we missed it. We are going to Alaska next year from MN and trying to figure out when in May we can leave to have roads , gas station, groceries and RV parks open when further up in northern Canada.
Thursday May 30th. We crossed the boarder on Friday May 10th entering Canada from Montana.
HWY 37 last time I was on it the gas stations were far apart so fuel every chance you get Don't know how it is now it's been awhile for us the hwy was part dirt last time we travelled it.
Parts of the road are still dirt/gravel. Totally agree you might want to top off your gas every time you can.
