Yeah it’s crazy to say. I grew up in the Bronx since the 80s and I’ve never felt more unsafe in this city until now.
I lived in NYC for 2 years for school back in 2007-2008 and it was magical. I don't think I would live in NYC now. I can believe all the problem the city has.

I don't live in New York City, but I follow the News here every week because I Care about My Fellow Citizens. MY heart breaks for All of the Moms going through this Heart Ache, and today, especially the Mother, Family and Friends of the Bodega Worker who was killed on Monday. I will find the GoFundMe for this family. I am a Senior Citizen on a fixed income from the Appalachian Mountains in South Central Pennsylvania. If those of us who can, give a little,it will help this Family. Praying for All of the Victims of these horrific crimes.😢😢😢🙏🙏🙏🙏

The fact that we would allow someone who has already broken a law to decide what laws they want to abide by is insane. You already broke the law coming into the country, but crimes against you, is wrong? I don't understand the logic. You can't pick what laws you want to abide by. You have to abide by all of them if you want to be protected by the law.

You are aware that these crimes occurred throughout the week. Not a day. This is a city of 8 million plus. It's actually a miracle that deadly crimes are not occuring every 5 minutes.
Actually, one of the reports occurred on Feb 23. That was 2 weeks ago buddy. Fox news is collecting all these crimes within 2 weeks and reported them in one report to make it sound worse than what it is.

I live in the Bronx and this is a reason I don't take public transportation I take cabs everywhere I go I'll spend my last $15 in a cab to go home then they wait on the train platform it's my safety and I don't feel safe riding a train I have a phobia of trains I'm scared to get on a train

Deepest condolences for the family, it’s an incomprehensible situation. The person who committed this crime certainly should not be on the street especially in 3 days. That being said mental health has been an issue for our country for a long time. We need to address it in a meaningful way FINALLY and offer wide spread mental health services in the form of health insurance preferably. “Throwing him in jail” as one says serves the purpose of people feeling good about him being punished, which of course he should but being rehabilitated will cure our society way down the line. We already did all the punishing already! This man is a product of us throwing people in jail for decades and that accumulative effect is the result!! Let’s stop and think ourselves out of this for a change. Let’s stop saying old slogans such as “Yeah real good that’ll do” or “Don’t give me that” and instead have a real meaningful change in our mind-sets, dealings and conversations. If we keep doing more of the same then the same happens. LETS THINK. There’s no such thing as thinking too much but there’s such a thing as thinking not enough.
