Thanks for this. Like you, we sold a big, new trailer and went to a Boler 1700, 1979 version, with bathroom. We just brought it home last night so am just getting started with the outfitting. Great to see this video to confirm the old stuff in ours…and it all works! Thanks again👍🏻
I think you'll love it. Having an older and smaller unit has really made us fall in love with camping again in a way we didn't know we were missing. It's much more of a connection to how we used to do it rather than the RV just being an extension of our home. And -- no pit toilets to share with the whole campground!
She's a beauty and in fantastic shape! Oh the adventures you three will have!! A company in Armstrong, BC bought some of the Boler moulds and now makes their Armadillo trailer - so it's like Boler part deux!
Those uprights on the bumper are great for securing a telescoping ladder, an outdoor table, and/or solar panels if you do not want to mount them on the roof
Nice video Dan. Our Escape also attracts attention. Some know of the Escape name but others ask if it's a newer model Boler. Under the trivia banner, did you know that Jim Pattison still owns the last company that built Bolers? As far as I know the company is still on the 'books' of his private holding company. If you ever need to have the fiberglass repaired, take it to a boat repair place. Meguiar's is a good product. I have also had good results with 3M marine wax too. As I have mentioned before, resistance to the call of fiberglass is futile. Welcome to the collective...
We're going to be coming your way in just over a week for the swap meet at the Sukanen. It will be our first longer road trip with it. Two nights at Besant booked.
There were factory franchises in Winnepeg, Earlton Ont, Calgary, Grande Prairie, Winfield And Trail BC, the belly- band striping colours wete very distinctive as to each factory outlet, Jim Patterson ( automotive millionaire) owned the franchise in Calgary
This is so awesome! I’ve always loved these fiberglass “egg” trailers. Can’t wait to see you go full Red Green on this thing!!! 😂 After a certain age, that washroom is definitely a must have. As we say in these parts, wicked cool!

Yep, overall I am very happy with the condition. Certainly once we get the outside polished up it will look much better too.
Slim Potato Head has the 13 footer. I've been watching his videos for a while. And yes, that bathroom is a deal maker.

For sure! Not having to leave the comfort of the trailer for a 3am walk to an outhouse is huge. I'll check out Slim Porato Head now too. Thanks!
Wiih🤗🙂🙂🙂👍
👍👌❤️, in 1997, I inherited my dad's 1977 17' Boler
Tilamook ice cream!!!!😋😋😋😋
Yep, some things never change. :)
@@DanOCan but that’s a good thing👍🏻
I’ve seen quite a number of vintage trailer videos and yours is probably the nicest I have seen.
Aw, thanks. Knowing how many people out there do this type of content, that means a lot to us!

I'm sure we'll find a good use for them at some point, but for now all they hold is the license plate.
I am excited to see your trips with the boler. That looks like fun.
Thanks. We're looking forward to it too.
Whoa nice unit , my brother bought I think the smaller unit you mentioned some years ago and is still enjoying it ☺
They tend to last forever. It's amazing how many of them are out there.

@@Nova.1971 Indeed! We'll see how it plays out.

Indeed, the company still owns the rights to the Boler name and trademarks.
Don't forget boler American Wichita ❤
I have a '72. Overpriced of course and needs to be rewired 😅
@@gigmaresh8772So many Boler factories, licensed manufacturers, and knockoffs too. It's why it is so hard to determine how many were made.
Great find ! We can’t wait to see what you do with it.

It's going to be a ton of fun. Get out the duct tape!
Love it! Thanks for the tour. Looking forward to more videos on your Boler adventures. Happy Trails!!
It's going to be great.
Adorable!! This is so you folks! Harry and I are so happy for you. ❤️
Thanks Peggy. It's a big change in direction for us but I think it's going to fit our style. Plus we can bring the canoe with us on camping trips now.
