fun fact this cars were used to be sold in the middel east and still holding good till now but they have some issue cuz of the hot temp the ecm go bad after years and the cars suffring form overheating and the fule door will break and wont open XD.
My VS is a 97 model, had a getrag gearbox from factory. I ended up finidng another VS that had a T5 setup, used from the VN models but with the buick engine. I got the gearbox swapped over because the Clutch for a getrag was 800 and a whole car and gearbox swap was around 1000, plus extra parts from that extra car, sold the gearbox I didn't want and yea was mint. Still my daily today. I found the exhuast y-piece was hitting the T5 gearbox so had to geta custom fix there. My only issue is the speedo is electronic based from getrag and its ECU, and they put a converter in the T5 box, speedometer is reading but kms are not rolling over on the odometer, Im hoping its the cluster gearing gone, hoping! Will be a shame if I needed to use that T5loom, I bought a spare one with extra cash long time ago in case.
So the myth about needing to change the whole crank to a manual crank is a myth ?was told in past i couldnt do manual conversion on my v6 vx commodore unles i get a manual crank shaft because the auto crAnk didnt have the same bolt pattern ??have u heard of this bro
Yeah pretty much a myth But sometimes some people do have problems with clearance between the flywheel or flex plate to the rear main from 1 ecotec onto another and they usually get around this with a spacer of sort(some had these stock some didn't) or an alternative they'd machine the rear main
So cool Matt
Thanks for watching

wow! that is interesting, they are very popular in Australia and most of them are missing the fuel door! thanks for watching

Cool swap! I can absolutely understand why you did that conversion, the T5 is a great box! thanks for watching

Thanks for watching, there was no problem at all! the supplied spigot bush went straight in, everything bolted us sweet.

All the same some cranks don't have dowel pins (L67) Just need to drill the holes for them.
