A great song off a classic album from one of the most incredible artist of our generation! Trent reznor is an absolute savant! Artist like him don't come along very often! I'm am so lucky I came up around the time he was in his prime! His music touched my soul! 🙏✌😂😮
I'd listen to the words he'd say But in his voice I heard decay The plastic face forced to portray All the insides left cold and gray There is a place that still remains It eats the fear it eats the pain The sweetest price he'll have to pay The day the whole world went away Na na nah Na na na, nah Na na nah Na na na , nah

Even though I love Death Metal, NIN and Industrial in general just hits me differently.
It's kinda ironic that NIN is industrial and Trent Reznor doesn't like to be called an industrial rock musician.

Beautiful melancholy. Trent captures this with precision.
All of the albums are a huge inspiration to me. I am always drawn to the downward spiral. Helps me deal with oppression and anger

Pretty sure this song is a metaphor for a traumatic event.
It was about the death of his grandmother, who pretty much raised him. She also turns up in "I'm Looking Forward to Joining You Again, Finally".
Sounds like darker version of " Hey Jude"
Ok imma try and make that mashup

NIN = Depeche Mode + Marilyn Manson
Marilyn Manson = David Bowie + Alice Cooper
but wait Marilyn Manson was inspired by NIN, I think
Marilyn Manson= NIN+Pantera Is more accurate
Marilyn Manson is trash, end of that conversation.
