I usually don't leave comments, but having viewed some of the negative remarks I felt compelled to respond. Firstly Mr. Mullins is a Trainer and his job is to bring each horse in his care to the peak of its potential, a task he achieves like few other Trainers, year in and year out.Even as a micro punter I recognize that when Mr. Mullins speaks he shares insights that are never shared by other trainers. I have listened to other trainers in interviews and they really say nothing that enlightens the listener. I only wish he would write a book about horse racing, but until that day comes I would like to thank him here for sharing his insights about his horses , pedigrees and the demands of various tracks as it is a joy to learn from him and I would like to congratulate him on his win in the King George and I did have a few pence on the winner, for thanks to Mr. Mullins I saw the possibility, but it would be foolish of me to expect Mr. Mullins to tell me which horse to back.I'm just glad that he shares his insights and if the punter pays attention he might just spot the day's possibility.
People act as if it’s a trainer’s job to help the punter it’s bizarre when people question the best in the game

Totally agree with all the comments about Mullins not being a man to trust. I wonder how many punters have put Appreciate It in bets all the while the stable knows it’s not running in the Arkle or over fences. It took the entries over the festive season and question to be asked by journalists for this to come out. Last year it was Bennie Des Dieux and there have been countless others. Strange Mullins seems to cop little of the flak that the likes of Nicky Henderson gets - even though some of that is deserved. A stop needs to be put to gambling companies sponsoring jockeys and trainers.
I think the horse had a set back gary but i see your point.dont think hes sponsored by a bookmaker one off the few not too.

Mullins isn’t involved with any bookmakers….but I totally agree no jockey or trainer should have any association with a bookmaker it’s hours be them against the bookmakers stinks
Wouldn’t trust this man to tell me the right time of day. Absolute training legend but the key to him is to look at the horses he plays down and forget the ones he bigs up.

Chacun he didnt fly very high lad ..and as for asterion forlonge..its easy in hindsight to say 'oh look at him cruising while Allaho was driven furiously be Patrick 'any decent racing fan knows anything can happen over jumps and in the finish and to take proven form and wins over 'ifs and buts '

They're all tries once they get to the track that's for sure, WM horses run on merit, it's just that he has 150 very good horses and when they compete against each other the outcome is not as definite as the bookmakers odds show.
Exactly it's hard to judge where to put horses when you have a big a yard as Mullins so many horses for so many races but alot of his Christmas ones ran where they should but alot of his end up injured so no wonder they get pulled out of future races that's horse racing for ye like if your horse runs a crap tingle creek then you probably would change your mind about the champion chase against the possible best 2 mile-2m4 horse in shiskin not saying he had one just using a example the tingle creek and desert orchid would be trails for it totally agree with your point energomene and shiskin will probably face off in the champion chase if all goes to plan but they won't risk a great horse if they get a bump are the ground doesn't suit them horse well fare at the end of the day is the main thing
Asterion Forlonge very unlucky with his jumping, one day it will all click. The “We may have something else” for the King George must have been Tornado Flyer and what a something else that turned out to be. Quite obviously not as much of a surprise in the King George for the Mullins stable than for everyone else. Been a follower of Saint Calvados since he was a novice and the race he gave first time out he will surely put it together for Paul Nicholls and win a decent prize this season.
Whatdeawant got much better chance in Bartlett than Ballymore imo

It's an out and out stayer and its last 2 runs have proven that.
Albert Bartlett horse if ever there was one but owners sponsor Ballmore so its 1/5 horse ends up in that race 😭

When Willie & Patrick tell you a horse is going well, it usually means it’s not and it’s already out for the season but has yet to be confirmed.

If and its a big if asterion forlonges gets round he wins the king George travels for fun and quickens well unexposed at the trip amd willie wouldn't put him in it for no reason

Asterion Forlonges is without doubt a horse with an outstanding chance now upped in trip .There should be stamina in abundance and a flat track will be major factor speed for 2 1/2 miles perfect for Kempton

Great trainer of horses and a legend of a trainer but have to agree that along with Aidan o brian will tell you nothing so yes a bit pointless if you are looking for info. But then again the owners pay the bills so you have to respect his loyalties

Shaky start to the season for Willie ..Gordon Elliott seems to be taking all the big ones and dominating races ...gone are the days of Ruby Walsh going to a card during the week and cruising in on the only 2or3 rides he had on the card for Willie ..obviously this o Keefe randomn waster riding didnt help ..between him & Brian hayes he has had two woefullly average jockeys riding for him start of this year but Townend back now and Paddy riding alot over Christmas so hopefully back to winning ways and should have plenty of winners

I always do, but the problem a lot of times for us lucky63 punters is there is normally 3 or 4 Mullins horses in the same race there know which one they trying with, but still a great trainer
I can't remember a trainer coming out and saying his horses will win .There graded races work it out its called gambling

Absolutely no trainer will tell the public anything that is not obvious and why should they as barstoolers don't pay the bills.Mullins and Elliott don't have the best novice hurdler in Ireland for this season.(a top owner has already offered a colossal figure for an unraced horse). I'm not Willie Mullins but I wouldn't dream of telling the barstoolers.
