Together with Mireille I'll show you what's possible with clippers and a longer pixie.

I shared this video with my hairdresser two weeks ago. I have an appointment next Friday. Fingers crossed! I don't usually get what I ask for (Even with an old photo of myself wearing the cut I like🤨) so here's hoping your video gets me the style I like. She rescued my hair from a previous mess.

😞 Mistake! I don't think the stylist knew how to use clippers. She kept digging in to my scalp. Even with your excellent video, she blew it. I now have a buzz cut. I feel so ugly! It's only hair, it will grow out. It will be months before I feel comfortable. Lots of bandanas and turbans will be in my dresser drawers. C'est la vie.

That's why I do my own now. I was paying £15 more than a man would for a very short hair cut.
I hate different prices for men and women. Actually the price is in Euro's but the thing doesn't have a euro sign hehe. It's 138 USD.

Last time I did a haircut was the shortest ever, a pixie. I love the airy feeling in the neck after living a life with thick hair always needing maintenance. I love to touch the back of my hair and feel the lightness. It feels so nice 🙂

@@HFDZK You're welcome. I come from Finland and so many local women have short hair after they hit their 30's. I don't know if that is good or bad but everyone should decide if they want to have long or short hair or whatever. You body is yours!

This! This is my cut! (That I've been trying to give myself for the past three years.) I've gotten pretty dang good at doing it myself, but the upper back corners are a challenge -- especially because I have a festival of cowlicks. I don't suppose you ever might come to Los Angeles to tidy me up? 😁

I have cowlicks there too, about 4 in the back and some funky growth patterns. I point cut and texturize a lot around them, can't get around them, so I work them into my haircut. They add more "personality" 😂

I loved the cut at the beginning BUT I am in anticipation of wonderfulness coming...I bought a set at the local Costco, but that was 3 wks ago and I got in touch with my former stylist...what I want for Christmas is YOU! Rene, do you DRAW AND PAINT? I bet you can...watching you with those clippers is like watching somebody sketching. The fading is the "shading" etc...Pretty lady with gorgeous hair, so thick...I feel like I am back in painting class (I can't paint, art HISTORY major but I tried painting one summer, no comment)...ah, holding my breath here, you give those "Winona Ryder" "pixie" cuts that aren't just predictable- same old, same old, the 1960's man's Caesar...RENE HOW DOES ONE NICELY, YOU ARE PAYING AFTER ALL AND A GREAT TIPPER- HOW DO YOU NICELY ASK THE STYLIST WHO CAN DO WHAT YOU WANT BUT DOESN'T- GIVE A TALK ON SALON ETIQUETTE COULD YOU? Oh yes, simply gorgeous!!!!!!! Namaste, Z Yes, mask off, so lucky you can muss that hair up with your fingers, perfect!!!!!

I love love this haircut. How long is the top in mm or inches? So I can tell my stylist. How do I describe the front top?
The top is about 2 inches. The front has the same lenght.

If I want to go from shoulder length hair to this haircut, can it still be done mostly with a clipper? And is it better to cut hair while damp, or dry?
That’s possible, and using clippers is always done on dry hair. It else gets cluttered up.
She is beautiful! She can wear any hair style. I've had hair cuts that looked like I stuck my hair in a garbage disposal 😳 (insinkerator)

Yes I love that look! I wish mine could be done like that, but I have a small patch in that area where hair doesn't grow. My hairdresser has to cut & shape it in a way to blend & disguise it. She does a good job, but I still wish I could have it like this instead 😭
Could this hair cut be done on a women with fine / thin hair?
Sure, the thickness doesn't matter on the sides and back. Just make sure to leave it a little bit longer because it sees trough quicker.

It's still not mandatory over here, but I started wearing one and clients have their own choice. Our union requested us to start wearing one and shop our government that we take our job serious and don't need a lockdown.
@@HFDZK It's a good idea. There's talk of another lockdown here in the states. If more people would be wearing them here; where it's actually mandatory practically everywhere, there wouldn't be as many coming down with the virus.
