Delphox, both yes and no.
Honestly, a Fire/Fairy starter Pokemon would be even crazier than Mega Charizard X.
I mean, it has around four weaknesses [Water, Rock, Ground and Poison]. It fully embraces the aspect of Osiris-Ra and it serves as the greatest striker against so many types [Grass, Bug, Steel, Ice, Dragon, Dark, Fighting].
It would be the most coveted regional starter in a Pokemon Game. Almost all Pokemon starters [minus Blastoise, Feraligatr, Swampert and Inteleon] would be in such tough spot.
I feel like their typings fit

Delphox because the design has wand, so a fox using a magic wand, what more fairytail and magical than that?
Chesnaught would be kinda cool bulletproof with hes being Steel type and a little different design with a steel shell.
I'd buy this one theory.

2:47 In the pokemon manga, she is actually part of team flare and almost kills Diantha.
She’s part of Team Flare in the games too. She just doesn’t show up during any of the Team Flare plot stuff. She even says to you in her rematch, and during the looker missions that she straight up hates you for what you did

Honestly? I can believe the bit about Pyroar. After all, it's a pretty well known thing (I think) that male and female lions have vastly different roles in the pride and different behaviors. So it makes sense that they would've thought to embrace that and have them take different battle styles. (I will say, though, I'm glad it didn't turn out because if it hadn't, I don't know if we would've had the Espurr and Meowstic I love so much.) Interestingly, though, it would've meant there was no way Litleo would have the gender ratio that makes them unique because they would've wanted players to have a fair chance at getting the gender Litleo (and by extension Pyroar) they wanted. In the final games it doesn't matter too much because the difference is only cosmetic, and since a pride of lions is meant to have primarily females and only one (adult) male, a pride of randomly-encountered Litleo/Pyroar will have many females and only a couple males.

That didn't stop Game Freak from giving us two Pokemon with 80-20 gender ratios that only evolve if female.
@@seronimo__7735 That's different, though. Combee is based on an animal where only a fragment of them become queens, which need their drones. Personally, I do think they should've made Salandit female only when they made the choice to make Salazzle based on lizards that are largely or even exclusively female, but I guess they liked its lore too much to remove male Salandit.

Delphox should have been Fire/Fairy since Delphox can learn Dazzling Gleam by TM to counter Dragon & Dark types.
If I recall, Delphox only gained access to Dazzling Gleam first in OR/AS, rather than from the start in X/Y.

I know it would never happen but what if the last gym leader of x and y was a scientist that worked on the creation of mewtwo. After mewtwo went berserk and resided in the Pokémon village, what if the ex team rocket scientist was secretly protecting and looking after mewtwo in the Pokémon village because he felt guilty about having a hand in team rocket

I was kinda dissociated when I saw what fennekin evolved into was kinda hoping for somthing diffrent
I loved Mega pokemon. What I Disliked was X moves and the Raid Gimmick systems the switch games got , These terra crystals Suck but they are the closest thing to mega pokemon we've had..
why give Mega when they could just permanently evolve? that's my problem with Mega Evolution

Mega is more a help boost, I kinda like to compare with the Super Saiyan gimmick: you need for that, you transform, and then its done. You are always back to what you were/liked being. Imho :)

there wasn't any scrapped starters. The Kalos starters is the ones we got. and their typing were the typing that they were always going to happen.

Gen 5 only trio where they’re all animals. Yeah embor stands but it looks cool and still looks like a Pig. Most starters are literal Humaniods (Aka Hoenn starters).
