  • May 2023 - starting to feel like summer! James and I had the great pleasure of joining our good friend, Nick Ray, on part of his Scotland 365 journey where he's paddling and camping in Scotland for a whole year!
During our brief 48 hours with Nick we took a completely different pace to normal, really taking time to explore each fold of the intricate coastline, and enjoy being on the water amongst nature. Please note, we did not approach any wildlife, and gave seals, birds etc lots of space when paddling past - really important not to get too close so as to not disturb wildlife on the ocean.
We also found piles of litter on the remote beach we camped on, and fishing gear from Creel boats and fish farms all over the coastline. We were unable to clear all of it up, but did what we could.

I had the pleasure of paddling with Nick up here on the north coast and hosting him for the best part of a week during some crappy conditions.
Seeing people like Nick and you guys visiting the coastline of my area brings out a real pride in me, as it's a coastline I've been in love with for many years.
Personally I can never get enough of it. There's no better place to be than far from the madding crowd exploring the coastal places that few people are ever lucky enough to see, and the north of Scotland is blessed with them. If I lived another hundred lifetimes I still wouldn't have enough time to explore all the places I want to explore and see all the places I want to see.
Your work is always an inspiration. Never give up.

Thank you. I love your description of your love for the coastline in the North of Scotland! It is truly so special and it's always a privilege to be able to see it from the sea. Really delighted to hear you could host Nick while he was in your neck of the woods! Very kind of you. Thank you.

What equipment were you guys filming on? I’m always been over cautious taking my filming gear on my SUP and ended up using action cams because they are waterproof. P.s love your editing style and grading 👏
