I have this kit to build but I know that the tank part is ancient, having built the original kit. I might build it in conjunction with the Revell AVRE kit as a D-Day tribute, thanks for the review.
Yeah the tank bits old, just top tip on the wheels steel ruler to get them all on straight. Nice yeah that would make a good pairing with this model. Glad you found the review helpful :)
Yeah, I like them as they are for the most part I did a lot of work to the sherman crab flail arms but other than that they do have a nice shape, sometimes a little off. But im not a perfectionist and they just have a certain charm to them i think anyway
Yeah, its interesting really though, I never go hard on these older kits (except one I found which had to be mashed together) but still think its mental that was these sorts of models that basically evolved into what we have today, tho i fear some have gone to indepth and we still need modern models for people getting into the hobby.
Yeah agree with you mate, odd thing is tho some of the newer recasts are better than the original kits from when the molds where still new, so think its a bit of wear, and now better plastic and control of the plastic going into the molds.
@@scalestuff1066 Also I think they have changed the plastic to the stuff in the new kits. Some of the newer molds used to suffer from similar problems from memory.
Can always tell the time of year you do your builds - on season, specs of dirt no, off season, remaining specs of paint from all the builds you do. Clearly can't wash your hands properly.
Im sorry its getting to that level, off seasons a bugger no time for all the paint to get scrubbed off, and you try washing some of these paints off they are water proof!
That model is a beast and you've done a great job on it!
Cheers mate thank you very much
I wish they'd bring back the Centurion tank as a vintage classic.
Yeah me to its a nice kit to be honest, ones coming up soon on the channel, only way I could get hold of one was second hand
Great video. Thanks for sharing 👍
Cheers mate Thanks for watching!
Thats awesome! It’s an odd little thing haha. Great job battling the old Churchill hull.
Thanks mate, ah that it is such a bodge job of a thing, and thank you yeah the old churchill has a bit of fight in it

Cheers mate
These are vintage kits, you can go mad adding detail if you like, or just as is. A lot of the old kits had good shapes too

@@scalestuff1066 Totally, they were intended to be assembled by kids, mostly. Any criticism of them seems a bit reductive, considering.

Nice! I guess the original 60's molds are probably well worn like some of the other vintage classic kits.

Yeah the think the new plastic feels abit softer and more bendy or is that just me?
@@scalestuff1066 Yea, I find it far less brittle
Those are not stowage boxes those are the air intakes.
Sorry mate easy mistake to make on smaller scales,I need to build a bigger Cromwell though not made one for years, any suggestions?
