I completely agree 👍 I have learnt so much from him. I find his genuine passion for physical/mental health very inspiring. Certainly a fella would like to meet one day.
This is the first time I’ve seen a fitness video that seemed geared toward the quiet thoughtful kid. We need more like this and more influencers like you.
This BEAST of a man is single handedly pushing the human understanding of fitness to unexplored levels. His channel is literally a how to guide to becoming superhuman.
My friend has a theory on extroversion and introversion that I've found useful in my life. Everyone expends energy being around people when they're watching what they say and do, and everyone gains energy being around people where they feel safe to just be themselves. This helped me realize that some situations were gonna be draining, not because of some flaw in me, but because that group hasn't yet made me feel safe to just be myself. Other situations that I might have turned down, because I was too exhausted, I jumped on because I knew I'd feel good with that group.
In my experience as an introvert, I’ve found while I do enjoy talking to people and hanging and even going to parties and events but only when theres minimal drama. If its a very drama filled group I’m done and out the door before its hardly begun. I have a friend who’s similar personality wise except that he’s very extroverted and his drama tolerance is considerably higher than mine. So I’ve begun to see it more as drama tolerance at least in some aspect
The science of epigenetics is undoing the entire idea of introvert vs. extrovert. Nature vs. nurture. Genetics vs. conditioning. We now know it's ALWAYS both. Genetics cannot express itself without feedback from the environment. But at the same time, genetic expression directly changes our environment. Why is this important? I'm always in my head. Have racing thoughts. Love reading and training alone. I talk enough that it drives people crazy, but they are also entertained. I enjoy my time in my room at home in the quite most days. But I feel most alive on stage, leading groups, yapping and having fun with others. And as soon as I get under high stress, EVERYTHING kicks up even higher. It's a rush. Lightning reflexes. Context switching on high. Can't feel burns or cuts. But I need cool and quiet afterwards. There are lot of people like me. Why? Because the environment effects us continually and the body/brain constantly adapts. We have personality traits conditioned in early childhood. We also have strong genetic predispositions. Environments remolds our brains. Our brains remold our environment...all at the same time. Like Bioneer says...it's far more complex than we understand. You will lean one way or the other, warrior or strategist. You will flow back and forth between the two throughout your life...AND throughout your day. Don't define yourself. Instead, seek to understand yourself and where you are moment to moment...and use each moment to the fullest. N=1!!!
I really appreciate this vid man. I am on the extreme end of introversion and neuroticism. According to the big five personality dimensions, that basically means I am not sensitive to positive emotions at all, but highly sensitive to negative emotions. I overthink. I struggle through a lot. After a training session where I blacked out (I hadn't eaten recently enough) I went home and cried. I felt so out of place, so embarrassed. I have been trying to really get into fitness, but honestly I don't enjoy it. I don't enjoy my plateaus or slow progress. I had been excluded or bullied, sometimes even by family, for a lack of interest in physical pursuits. I guess that really got to me on a deep level. I still feel out of place at the gym, despite studying to be a trainer. Guess I just needed to get my thoughts on this out on paper. I really appreciate you and the work you do, and seeing that someone I admire tremendously is similar to me in some significant ways is encouraging.
Sorry to hear about your struggles, but keep going! And remember that “fitness” can be a lot of things. If you don’t like the gym you can train at home, trail run, ride a bike, try martial arts, or even dance. Maybe something else will be your thing? :-)
I’m an INTJ and a perfectionist. But I also believe in balance, something severely lacking in the fitness industry. But you’re one of the coolest, balanced fitness content creators out there. Keep it up man.
Hey man, since discovering your channel I've found myself identifying with your style and personality more than any influencer which has been really inspiring. I'm extremely into functional fitness and love the idea of training to be like a superhero, I'm also an INFP so it was nice to hear you are as well. Thanks for doing what you're doing mate, you're a true inspiration!
He is more than a influencer, it's his genuine personality that comes across that makes him by far the best fitness channel. Not fake, not putting on a silly personality just for views. Plus his channel has more mature content, he did a video a while back aimed at parents. I thought that was fantastic.
@@deonr1 generally I do 3-4 workouts a week, sometimes more, sometime less, I just listen to how my body feels. But I always make sure to do some sort of exercise every day, for example I try to walk, stretch, and/or practise exercises each day:)
I personaly like the Hunter- farmer theory a lot when it comes to work and life style. understanding how those genetical factors affect our Personality should be useful for work out, fitness and developing other skills as well
Hey man, since discovering your channel I've found myself identifying with your style and personality more than any influencer which has been really inspiring. I'm extremely into functional fitness and love
I have mixed traits of introvert and extrovert. My social battery doesn't run out much, but I don't actively go and talk to new people. Most of my friends are either people who talked to me first or friends of my then already existing friends. I love chatting with people, but I can easily spend hours in silence all by myself with my thoughts. If I don't know you and you start a conversation with me, more often than not, I'll be more than happy to keep it going. It's interesting to think how this can affect my fitness journey.
You can still be introverted even if you talk a lot, it’ll just be around people your comfortable with. And if extroverted, you can be pretty closed lipped if something isn’t peaking your interest. The traditional system from Carl Jung implies you’re only one or the other, but the human will and consciousness allows us to override natural behaviors when the situation calls for it. I’m not sure about the “ambivert” thing. And you have to separate the behavioral from the cognitive. We can behave however we choose, but our thoughts and “default” settings are assumed to be set, thus the wide plethora of personalities we see in people. Even individuals in the same cognitive type aren’t one in the same!
I also consider myself a mixture of both, but in a different way. In large groups, my social battery drains very quickly. I like starting conversations with new people individually, and that is usually how I survive at parties. Find a new person to talk to individually for a while. I am always the first person to head home, though, and usually need a day or two alone to recover. I love people, don't really mind small talk, but big groups impact me heavily. Thanks for sharing your experience!
I'm also very introverted (INTJ) but I'm a mix of both Warrior and Strategist even though leaning slightly more on the Strategist side. I can't resonate with most fitness influencers but can resonate perfectly with you maybe because of us having the same temperament. Thanks for bringing to light this unchartered realm of fitness. Now, I have a clearer understanding why I train the way I train.
GSP is worrier type, if you read his book he said he was stressed the entire time competing and only did it to fund his martial arts, yet he was one of the greatest to ever grace to octagon
I typically don't want to go out and socialize or participate in events, but I force myself to go out and also to attend a local mma gyms classes. When I'm there I enjoy it and chastise myself for wanting to chicken out. I find myself stuck in my own head alot of the time, not being satisfied with who I am, or how I handled a situation. Recently got some advice from a fitness influencer, he said "don't think, just do" wich basically comes down to don't let your own mind talk you out of something, just go for it, even if it is uncomfortable. So I'd say I am a "Strategist" type
I am not exactly shy, but I do prefer to be in small family group & close friends. I love weight and bodyweight training on my own, but recently been offered a opportunity to join a gym as a trainee trainer. I'm a worrier because im excited by the opportunity but freaking out at the thought of standing in front of strangers in a gym. I tend to over think things, the gym is where I go to settle my mind. Another fantastic video Mr Bioneer
The Bioneer is by far, in my opinion, the best all round fitness and wellbeing content producer that doesn't get enough credit. Especially when he addresses the taboo subject of getting injured/hurt. I would love to see what type of foods/meals you eat and what you would recommend for specific goals.
Infj as well (consequently a strategist). Don't wish to be a warrior. A strategist is cool as well. While warriors get in the trenches, they aren't able to see the big picture the way a strategist can. Battles are won by both working together, NOT warriors randomly running blindly I to battle with no plan.
@@Spladoinkal I agree with you, and I also think that some of the best fighters are really a mix of warrior and strategist. Sure you can more of one type, but you can also look to understand others side and apply some of its strengh. I also think that some of the best warriors really rely on strategy, like Batman. I can also say that I’m currently playing Sekiro, and it’s one hell of a hard game, and without proper thing strategy, you won’t get anywhere.( for those that don’t know, in sekiro you play as a samurai, and in order to beat your enemies you must break through their guard, and here is the thing, if you attack all the time you will be defeated, and if you only rely on your reflexes to evade and defend every attack, enemies will recover their stamina, so you really need reflexes+strategy)
@@joaotanaka3071 Well said! I agree. If you're naturally a strategist, you should take some time getting in the ring/battlefield and if you're a warrior, you should take time to plan strategies and see how they turn out. That's what got me into fitness in the first place! I do I.T. for a living as well as have a business making music and do gaming as a hobby. Most of my stuff was very sedentary so I started working out, and as I learned more and more about fitness, I started loving the science of it. Sure you can just go run/play a sport/grab some weights and learn the lifts but I was intrigued to learn more about it. I was able to then incorporate things I learned from fitness into other aspects like training reaction speed in FPS games for instance, or using what I learned about lifting weights to help develop better chops on the drums.
I'm an INTJ. Leaning towards strategist though I seem to have some Warrior traits ( based on past performance). I think you needn't worry about being a Strategist. It just means after putting in a bit of 'field study ' in your chosen task, you'll outperform the Warrior who lacks your more meticulous nature. Embrace your inner Sherlock Holmes. 🙏
Cheers everyone! Very heartening. Love the Batman, Sekiro and Sherlock examples. Can definitely relate to being mostly sedentary and discovering your athleticism later in life as well!
You always do good stuff, but for me this is one of your most interesting and powerful videos. As someone who strongly identifies as an introvert, hearing someone attempt to break down the introvert=shy stereotype is great to hear, as is considering the different ways and types of training to suit our personality types. Can't think of anyone else who would consider this as part of a fitness channel - keep it up! One book I've found really helpful if you're an introvert is called Quiet: the power of the introvert in a world that won't stop talking, by Susan Cain. If you haven't already read it, I highly recommend it!
I have a question. Is there a way to train oblique without them bulking up? They are important for a lot of body movement but i'm afraid a bit that the exercises i saw on yt will make them look really wide and make the waist boxy or to actually bulk them up you would have to put a lot of strain on them and not to worry too much. Thank you very much for all the work you put into all this. I learned a lot from your videos.
as a non native english speaker, this video was extremely confusing for my ears xD, all i can hear most of the time is "worrior", a little on-screen text would be really helpful for differencing which type are you talking about at a certain point, even tried subs on but most of the time they write warrior
INFP? Same hat! And I'm a strategist all the way. I'm anxious by nature, but given time and space and can process and integrate knowledge very deeply. One of my favorite exercises is honestly just walking, because it gets the blood moving and calms the mind. After that, I can move onto more strenuous things, whether that's a more vigorous exercise or some focused work.
You always have the best content I’m on the far end of the introvert scale. I learned a long time ago that exercise was the key for me to maintain my mental health. Being a worrier tends to cause me anxiety issues and I’m unable to take anti anxiety medications. I’ve conditioned myself to exercise most days of the week to keep off of medications and keep the worrying in check
Always appreciate your more nuanced takes, not just saying "X is good/bad" but pointing out both the pros and cons that may arise from different physical and personality traits.
As i Know so far, as ENTP, i liked working out many different plans in a short amount of time. Tried every single day new concepts giving it all on that day... but within reaching wisdom (ENTPs desire) i started to focus on a few plans and routine (very difficult als ENTP), but it showed best results so far. Fitness really helped me become more discipline and focused on 1 thing to achieve @ time rather than starting 1000 things halfway. - Against all assosiations, ENTPs are the most introverted Extraverted Type in MbTi concept. I really enjoy working out alone, not getting stucked in other people struggles while working out myself. Never the less i started becoming a Trainer myself, helping others (and enjoy it) with their struggles when my energy isnt mainly on my inner.
there is a reason why your videos always connect with me on a deeper level. i am an INFP-T type as well and this video kind of describes parts of me that felt really personal and for some reason helped me on an emotional level. it was a really needed touch, thank you truly man.
I read the title and immediately knew I was the fighter, I despise setting up a program, or even keeping tracks of my lifts, I just go and wreack havoc, hopefully a little better than last time, it's so fun
Interesting topic. Designing your training according to personality. Christian Thib has done a series of videos on a similar concept, but he was about neurotransmitters and neurotypes.
Don't know if it's been commented yet as I do not plan to scroll through almost 300 comments and yes - I'm late to the party, but: In your timestamps you wrote "Warrior vs Warrior" instead of "Warrior vs Worrier". Don't think you should bother to change it, but as personality is the main driving topic of this video I felt the need to express this perfectionism trait I have in a hopefully respectful way without sounding rude etc. Somewhat felt right this single time haha. Apart from that: Great video as always giving some food for thought and always a good motivation to enjoy your input as it goes further than "just" some tutorials and plain science. Please keep it up! You're inspiring me not to be aestethic, but to be healthy. And that's what really matters!
Such a nice video and topic ,as an entp iam the most introverted extrovert type and love how you talk about both sides of the coin .cause normally i get the feeling that extroverts always seem to get more celebrated when they perform .
Just because you asked and in case anyone is curious: I'm an INFJ-A and, despite being a massive introvert that prefers solitude, people frequently mistake me for an extrovert. When I'm not at work, the office is pretty silent, based on what I've been told. It's interesting to me. As for Warrior v. Strategist, I think I'm a bit of both but now plan to really look into it and maybe try the DNA test. Thank you for the great information, as always!
Bro I've watched you and your channel grow for some time now and I am so happy for you! Wow bro! The music, the cinema - on top of the always amazing info!!! Two things I'm interested in: First one is "How to ADHD exercise?" Second: "Have you tried ping-pong for reflexes?" I'm fast for an introvert cuz of it. :)
That's some good data.I always called them action men and thinkers.Pros and cons to both.Action men make good friends if they are not the kind that get you in trouble all the time.Thinkers are more likely to understand and sit with the pain. The more you pay attention to the pain the less it has power over you.We live in bodies that function very counterintuitive to what feels good at the moment.
INTP strategist, very strong performance under adrenaline and quick recovery after. Very poor performance when long term discipline and planning are the main drivers. All fits in nicely when you take the dopamine roles and situation with these profiles in mind. Loved this video.
Since you mentioned it, could you possibly make a video on your favorite solo martial arts routines/workouts/drills. Long time fan, thank you for all your amazing free content. Got your book and it's awesome. Keep it up man, you're sick!!
Fantastic Video. I was always a worrier, allowing unsubstantiated negative conclusions to decide my emotive outcome regarding any situation that I faced in everyday life. When I worry about somebody else, its even worse, as the matter is out of my hands and control. I will definitely read the article furthering these interesting topics discussed here and apply them.
worrier, introvert istj, stategist. 🙂 Been working out 5-7 days a week to improve muscle with goal of removing pain. With a guide from a naprapath. It is really hard work but i fit it in my busy schedule by often doing it when waking up and doing that earlier. I train by using rope in different ways as a levy system with wide shoulders, with fists facing forwards. and do chins, abs and push-ups. Have a nice day.

If you haven't already read it, I highly recommend it!
I'm doing this exercise regularly and it's really work wonderfully
Could you do a video on which exercises are best for Sagittarians?
;)
I have a question. Is there a way to train oblique without them bulking up? They are important for a lot of body movement but i'm afraid a bit that the exercises i saw on yt will make them look really wide and make the waist boxy or to actually bulk them up you would have to put a lot of strain on them and not to worry too much.
Thank you very much for all the work you put into all this. I learned a lot from your videos.
Exactly training and diet plan plays major role in individual personality
Man the Warrior vs Worrier part is hard to follow without much distinction between words haha (my accent is the same don't worry)
Agreed. I find it extremely frustrating. I do appreciate the poetics but man this is one I would rather read than listen to.
@@Rick_Deja in the description there is the link to the post(you can read it there) on his blog
Been following for a while and just wanted you to know this video is brilliant, keep it up ❤
as a non native english speaker, this video was extremely confusing for my ears xD, all i can hear most of the time is "worrior", a little on-screen text would be really helpful for differencing which type are you talking about at a certain point, even tried subs on but most of the time they write warrior
For me, you are the best fitness channel.
Keep going and greetings from Germany.
Thank you for all though provoking content man very good stuff man...
Exactly training and diet plan plays major role in individual personality 👍👍👍
Understanding your personality can help you find the right approach to fitness that motivates and suits you best.
Fitness shows our personality confident
Thank you for your videos, great job!!!
INFP?
Thank you for create this content
You always have the best content
I’m on the far end of the introvert scale.
I love this channel so much. The bioneer is such an ace.
there is a reason why your videos always connect with me on a deeper level.
i am an INFP-T type as well and this video kind of describes parts of me that felt really personal and for some reason helped me on an emotional level.
it was a really needed touch, thank you truly man.
Thank you.
Outstanding work out man
Don't know if it's been commented yet as I do not plan to scroll through almost 300 comments and yes - I'm late to the party, but: In your timestamps you wrote "Warrior vs Warrior" instead of "Warrior vs Worrier".
ESFP bro. I went crazy when you put typology in these videos lol. Keep it up
I really appreciate this video
This guy is an inspiration for me
Thanks for all advise
Beautiful work ❤️
Super duper work out really Excellent
I really appreciate this vid man
Such a nice video and topic ,as an entp iam the most introverted extrovert type and love how you talk about both sides of the coin .cause normally i get the feeling that extroverts always seem to get more celebrated when they perform .
Exactly what I was looking for
Incredible ❤ very informative 😊
This is one of the best fitness influencer
Great video! You widened my view greatly!
Definitely the best sport/fitness/health channel I found :D Keep up the good work my friend!
It's ok 😊
Excellent work
Just because you asked and in case anyone is curious: I'm an INFJ-A and, despite being a massive introvert that prefers solitude, people frequently mistake me for an extrovert. When I'm not at work, the office is pretty silent, based on what I've been told. It's interesting to me. As for Warrior v. Strategist, I think I'm a bit of both but now plan to really look into it and maybe try the DNA test. Thank you for the great information, as always!
Outstanding workout
Bro I've watched you and your channel grow for some time now and I am so happy for you! Wow bro! The music, the cinema - on top of the always amazing info!!! Two things I'm interested in: First one is "How to ADHD exercise?" Second: "Have you tried ping-pong for reflexes?" I'm fast for an introvert cuz of it. :)
INFP here also, as well as a strategist. I realy appreciated your video, everything made a lot of sense. Thank you!
Excellent training
INTP strategist, very strong performance under adrenaline and quick recovery after. Very poor performance when long term discipline and planning are the main drivers. All fits in nicely when you take the dopamine roles and situation with these profiles in mind. Loved this video.
I find that describes me as an INTP also. So much easier just going for something than pacing myself and being consistent over time.
Excellent knowledge
Very important
worrier, introvert istj, stategist.
Incredible very informative
Amazing great work out 👍.
Great job I really apreciate it
Energetic person and confidence

I'm an INTJ who relates most to the Strategist workout type. I excel best when exercising alone and with great variety to keep me engaged
