This woman is Arguably the Greatest Female Singer of her Generation. Nobody can sing like her...nobody had that Depth, Range and Control combination (not even Whitney nor Mariah).
There is just no comparison. Very feel singers have dates to interpret this song we all know, but she does it impecably. One of the greatest female singers.❤
It would not matter if she was wearing a mens suit, a long gown, or was totally naked. Her voice speaks for itself. She has more talent in her little finger than these female singers out there twerking today.

The voice of an angel ! Soft but strong at the same time. Always making you feel deep each song. I just love her voice so much .
No singer during my lifetime has put so much emotion into singing any song.
The purest voice in music since Karen Carpenter, she's so gifted and OH SO under rated as an artist. Her CD's are some of the BEST in my collection. Mainstream radio didn't play her music because K.D. didn't fit into one genre. It's so sad that people are not exposed to her more.
And let's applaud the musicians too with her voice!
One of those rare occurences where perfect pitch and amazing vocal control don't overwhelm the ability to bring out the emotion in a song.

k.d. is the most talented singer of the 20th and now the 21st century. Even at 57 her voice is wonderful, seeing her sing live is a privilege. I do hope she tours the UK again, but I have a sneaky feeling that the recent ingenue tour will be her last. I do so hope I am wrong. Sing it Loud is currently my favourite of her cds, I do find it sad though. She was the first dykon/celesbian. To come out when she did took immense courage. For her bravery, her velvety voice and her gentle, genuine charm she deserves to be happy in whatever she does. I hope she is.

The first time I saw her I knew she was gay, but I didn't care (and I am straight), she is so good it just didn't matter. I will always love her.

This song takes me back to helping my dad in the garden on a hot summer day in the 70's (I was around 6 years old). Such happy memories for a little girl who had a wonderful childhood. I'm now 52 and it brings tears to my eyes to hear this beautiful song sang so wonderfully by the amazing kd lang. God bless you for bringing that time of innocence back to me when life seemed much more simple.
