Warning: what's not mentioned in this video is you can't use the power gauge as an indicator of how much power you have left. Once you notice you're in the yellow you need to start heading to the nearest outlet because it goes from yellow to red almost immediately.
Indeed! It's a good practice to not wait for your batteries to drain or get to the red indicator before charging them. Thanks for watching our video and commenting. We appreciate the support!
@cvstan2587 Not sure if it's required but I put a battery balancer on mine so they stay the same voltage-wise. To help with the monitoring, I connected a 24v Bluetooth monitor so I can keep an eye on it's charge level without me being near it. I also am using a smart plug where I programmed it to automatically turn off once the current charges under 1 amp so it doesn't overcharge.
The one thing is the link you have given to lithium Po4 batteries, included alligator clip chargers. Isn’t there any XLR three pin type pO4 chargers? I can’t imagine removing my batteries each time to alligator clip them and charge them.

Lithium batteries are more expensive but the convenience in all aspects mentions in this video makes them really worth upgrading to. In addition, the battery life of lithium batteries can go up to 5 to 10 years if properly maintained while sealed lead acid batteries can go only up to 2-3 years. You do the math and you'll know why people still choose to upgrade to lithium batteries. Hi Sergio, I am still confused. Some have said I will damage my new Pride Victory LX Sport by adding Lithium batteries. Is that true or not? I’m not concerned about warranty, just the truth on changing out to Lithium. Thanks.
As long as they are 12 volt lithium batteries, it will not damage it. We've already tested a Victory LX Sport with lithium batteries, it worked fine with no damage. Who told you it would damage the scooter?

How much of a concern are lithium battery fires? I was thinking if/when I have one, I should get a fire blanket that says it contains such a problem. Is that worth doing?
LifePo4 batteries are very safe, and we have not had one scenario where a LifePo4 battery caught fire. In the old days, lithium batteries were made with Lithium Ion chemistry, which is what was prone to catching fire. These are no made with Lithium Ion, there are made with Lithium Iron Phosphate. Thanks for watching our video and commenting! We appreciate the support.

I plan on taking my Pride Go-Go Ultra X 2.0 4-Wheel Travel Scooter on an airplane. Will the Dakota lithium batteries be able to go in the hold of the Airplane or will I need to put them in the overhead storage where I sit? and will all airlines accept them?
There will be guidelines for Lithium Batteries that you can check out herer: www.mobilityscootersdirect.com/blog/mobility-scooters/traveling-on-an-airplane-with-a-mobility-scooter/ But basically, travel-friendly scooters with lithium batteries will come with a specification sheet to show the airline that it is under 300 watt-hours and FAA-compliant. Since the batteries are in a series connection, it's a good idea to connect a battery balancer otherwise they can get out of sync. Also you can charge the batteries so much faster than 3.5 amps than what's suggested here but you'll need to check the fuse to make sure it's rated for the faster charger. I use a 10 amp charger with a 15 amp fuse.
