Been following this one since day one. Tower of Time was/is awesome (Im still listening to the soundtrack to relax) and the atmosphere was perfect. Hope this title succeeds as much, if not more than their first one.

The grey part of the health bar seems to be armor. Also you kept hitting "s" to scroll down which is also bound as the stop command. That is why they kept stopping
I played demo during Next Fest with my friend in coop and we had a good time. Looks pretty good as far as indie crpgs go. And I liked Tower of Time very much from those developers so my interest grows quite high.
33:00 Not sure I'd trust the "more DPS" without checking range. Range 20 vs 12 and less armor penetration on the pistols seems to be the tradeoff. How armor-y are critters with exoskeletons?
Pretyy cool looking title. I really like the idea of a Brother-Sister main characters you get to control. As long as their dynamic is good between themselves and other possible characters you might get in the future. Especially if some proper character growth is written into it as the story progresses making each of them more endearing to the player in their own way.
Wai wai waaaiiiit... A shotgun that fires OVER 5 meters away, accurately and does damage?! What madness in a video game is this!?! That alone gets major thumbs up. Rest of the game can be looking at loading screens and playing slidey puzzles and it'd still be above average haha.

8:38 re, "rack it, tap it" I've heard you say something similar in several instances where you're shooting in various games. The saying is "tap, rack, bang". The meaning behind the saying is that your weapon doesn't fire. To correct it, you tap the magazine up into the weapon to make sure it's seated. Then, you rack the bolt to try to chamber the round. Then, bang, hopefully it fires. So, "rack, tap" is out of order and makes no sense. Well, unless you're saying rack the weapon and tap the thing you're trying to shoot.
combat seems ok, liking the map system not wasting the players time, level-up system looks like a decent way to do things though i wonder if it's possible to gimp a build to the point it hurts your progression to the next level (likely depends on if there's a way to farm up more money or if the areas have fixed numbers of enemies/quests/missions to encounter). Heal system i'm on the fence with. A couple of bad encounters could ruin a run/quest if it's all locked in but if you can exit gear/level up and try again later that's acceptable. On the fence with the "live slowdown" system at the start of combat, IMO it needs something clear as to how/when it activates and ideally under player control not automatic on every combat opening. Maybe ration them out (5 seconds of slow per "charge" 30 seconds to replenish a charge, 3 charges in total, if someone wants to stall out a combat by running then let them, within reason) Not a fan of encumbrance systems or heavily limited inventories, especially when every encounter is throwing 1-4 items of loot at you.
I'd personally re-colour the ground-warning to yellow/orange instead of red because red make it look like a trap-detection ability has gone off. Colorblind options are of course a nice addition to any game, if the colours are in the .ini or .pak file may as well let people edit the ones seen all the time from a game-screen. Some range indicators on "white"/passive damage and spells (when selected/hovered-over) would be handy melee could use some innate AoE (cone/PBAoE/cleave/pierce) to make up for the additional risk especially when it's ranges characters most likely to be taking advantage of the cover system. was there an actual pause system? even if no commands possible it would be useful to allow players (solo at least) to read UI elements while nothing is happening. Looks like a fine start just needs a little bit of polishing.
I recognize the voice acting from the intro of this game as Billy West , aka Zapp Brannigan from Futurama 😀 To think of it , he did more than just one voice in this game. On a different note , I remain baffled at how friendly fire has no effect in some games. ... and you Sir are a trigger happy person , I have to have to keep this in mind 😲

Tried the demo and for some reason sometimes I just couldn't move with my characters or use their abilities so they just sat there getting bashed on and i ended up dying. No idea what causes it but I did make sure I had them targetted (clicking on them or hitting ~ or dragging my mouse over them) and it just wouldn't work. Gonna just wait for the game to come out I think the game has potential though.
Heh, Jill should see this. Definitely plus points for the female armor design. It's terrible how once you've heard her rant, you cannot stop looking for those design quirks.
Ah man it's hard enough to hear what the characters are saying in game so I hope they do clean up and master that audio a bit just so it helps me out a bit more...but other than that I mean the game looks like it has potential. I think for a game like this though the narrative will have to be super good.
Saw it has online-coop, which is an instant wishlist for me. I usually hate real-time rpgs with pause, and prefer turn-base instead, but the genre really lacks a big variety with online coop, so I guess I take, what I can get.
agree with you about the setting splat, it seems almost all "FANTASY" settings are infested with super advanced sci fi shit and vice versa. Its lazy world building that doesnt even bother to take its own realities into account, it just slaps together popular things that people like and then "balances" them so your wooden club can totally take on a death star. it also seems like your two starting abilities are just straight up magic, they cost mana, you didnt fire shock bolt out of your gun. I guess its just easier to animate things without adding gizmos.

The game has come a very long way and i have been playing it scince release but it doesnt get the attention thatvit deserves. Maybe you couldt think about covering it if you like🤷.

It's armor? It looked like the reheal amount on combat end to me.
It said in the tutorial popup that Grey is shielding (aka armor) that regens out of combat, and Light Green is temporary healing

Shield as still pretty and very useful to clean close quarters (and house) even now.
We also use armors. Modern ones, but still armors 😂

My only "complaint" with these sort of games is.. I only want 1 main hero, not a party. It kinda changes the whole genre, but that's hat I enjoy.

I like that the game doesnt pause but slows the gameplay down instead. I tend to find games with pauzes to slow to my taste
