    I’m not one to comment on a video…in fact this is my first comment EVER. I wanted to say thank you! I started my Etsy store mid May and I can be living proof that your training works. I’ve watched most of your videos and implemented your tactics and as of this moment, I took one listing that started selling June 4th and just checking my dashboard, I’ve made $650 dollars today and $1,100 dollars yesterday. I’ve just hit 152 sales and my total income for the last 30 days was over $5,000 dollars!!! I’m not here to brag, I’m here to show that your training and tactics really work! Thank you so much for what you do and the fact that it’s completely free on RUclips, really shows how good of a person you are!

    Hi Cassiy, great video! And I wanted to say THANK YOU and that your strategy WORKS!! I wanted to start an Etsy business, but had no idea where to start or what to do. When I found your videos last year, I decided that the POD model was the right one for me. Your videos gave me the confidence to try it & believe it would work. I started my store in December, and then I waited for my first sale ... and waited, and waited. I was beginning to lose hope! I looked at my meager traffic and noticed that one of my designs was getting more views than any of the others. So I made a couple of similar designs, and then it came -- that very first sale!!! (It was about 4 months after I opened my store, fyi.) Your advice of adding value really worked. Since then, I have a slow, but steady stream of orders, and I'm excited to watch my business grow. And I know with 100% certainty that this wouldn't have happened without all of your great advice! Thank you!

    This was super well timed advice for me. I plead guilty to all the usual vices - overthinking, over worrying, being a perfectionist. And I have been spending too much time just setting the bar too high during my set up / shop opening phase. Wanting everything to be "good enough", trying to learn too many things all at the same time. Great, solid advice well articulated. Thanks. BTW I purchased your INCOME/EXPENSE REPORT WITH PROFIT CALCULATOR a couple of days ago - great value and a no-brainer given the depth of the spreadsheets. Thanks again. I will now approach building out my shop, as you have outlined. THANK YOU!

    Is Etsy still worth joining? I remember trying it out once and I got suspended. I don't remember for what though, it was several years ago. I eventually got unsuspended. But that was a complete shock to me, since I had literally just joined. I'm now deciding if I want to really give this a try again and heard that Etsy has been suspending a lot of accounts. So I am just wondering if it's worth giving them a try again.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  6 месяцев назад +1

      If you can just use the account you opened years ago, then you should have no troubles at all! I think Etsy is very worth it but starting to deal with a lot of scammers on the platform and their automated systems to keep scammers away are the ones accidentally suspending the wrong people. Hopefully their new system of charging $15 to open an account helps cut down on the scammers.

    I would say, don't rely on Esty for sales. I've been on for 6 + months, most of my sales came organically or off platform. Esty to me works much better as a direct sales platform... Basically it's a tool for established sellers. It's very hard to start creating sales without a customer base. You need to come up with a way to bring people to your store directly. Esty will make money off you one way or another. They have little interest in your success. (My opinion)

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      I totally understand how you feel! Etsy isn't the right fit for everyone. If you have something super specific that you are passionate about and want to sell, then this may not be for you. Selling on Etsy for me over the last few years has been a process of learning how to not take what I like or want to create into account at all. It's all research based of what are people already searching for and organically buying on the platform already, and then how can I add value to get those people to buy my version instead of someone else's.
      99% of my sales over the last three years have come organically and through ads only on Etsy. So I can tell you for sure by my own experience, tons of other successful shops I've seen, friends family and students that it is possible! It just depends on if it's the right fit for you and what your goals are.
      Thanks for watching, I hope you got some value from the video and best of luck to you either way!

    Do you have any suggestions for if you have more time-intensive designs? For example, if you're creating your own art for POD shirts. I'm struggling to even upload one or two listings a day because many of my designs take so long.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +2

      The same process would apply but the research piece is even more important! If you are going to be spending lots of time designing then you need to be sure you are in profitable niches and that your designs have elements of things that are proven to sell for that niche. I would suggest maybe even to start creating simple designs, see what sells and then for the niches that you start getting traction in, then take the time once it's a proven niche, to create more complex designs for them. Then you are targeting two different types of customers in the same niche to get more sales or even someone would buy both!
      Here is a video I made on how successful simple designs can be ruclips.net/video/DvarJAA-FLQ/видео.html

In one of your previous videos, you talked about copying a listing and changing the main image. I'm so glad you got some new value! The new version works the same way, you should be able to click on one of the images and just slide it over top of the first one to change the order. $24.99 Selling Price
      $13.88 Cost
      $2.82 Etsy Fees
      = $8.29 In Profit
      Etsy takes $0.20 USD, plus 6.5% of the total sale, as well as 3% of the total sale + $0.25 USD for Etsy payment fees. Summed up, that's $0.45 USD plus 9.5% of a sale.

    Hi Cassiy! I am new to Etsy and I have a question! When you make sale's on Etsy, do they pay you first, then you pay the POD company, or do you have to pay for your products first out of your own pocket. The reason I asked is because I don't have access to credit cards at this time. Please help, thank you ❤❤!

Etsy keeps trying to close my store (even though all I’m doing is within their policies I’m not sure what’s up with it all)…. So I am realizing I don’t want to put all my eggs in the “Etsy basket”. My question is - have you done a video that goes over what a successful Etsy POD shop looks like? I mean how many sales per day is realistic? Can a successful shop do 40 or more sales a day? Or is it that every shop is different and there is no magic number to reach? Thank you for all your youtube content - it is extremely helpful!

    How much time in a day should we spend as a seller for good results on Etsy?

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад +1

      All depends on how efficient with your time you can be and what your goals are! It takes time to build no matter how much time you spend per day. The first few months are going to be the building and learning phase but the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. Granted only if you are taking actions that are actually moving the needle. I see people all the time say they "spend hours per day on their business" but they just waste time reorganizing their listings in their store, redoing their logo, organizing their categories, going back and editing old listings that never sold etc. If you want success then you need to focus on researching, trying new things and then doubling down on what's working. That's it!
      I read the 4 hour workweek book my Tim Ferris and it really changed the way I work and look at priorities! If you can avoid "procrastiworking" on things that aren't actually going to make you money but only give you the endorphin boost you were looking for to feel like you accomplished something, then you can do a lot in a small amount of time! But this will be different for each person depending on how much skill you are starting with in the beginning.

    • @CassiyJohnson
      @CassiyJohnson  Год назад

      Sorry if that was your takeaway! I meant for this tutorial to be an action step for getting started for the first time. A lot of people get started and make a few listings and get discouraged that they didn't get their first sale yet. I wanted to convey that you just need to get started and start testing things and trying things. If you get 60 listings up then you should learn a lot from that and hopefully get your first sale. No one is great at things right when they start, you always need to learn and practice before you can get better, I just think some people forget that part.

    Hi! I’m living your videos, I’ve had a Etsy store for a long time but have never really done much with it. I have been learning about print on demand and made a few listings/designs last year but never committed. Here’s my question. I’ve heard you meantion “serious” and “casual”relationships with our Etsy store. Your obviously are serious. I don’t have time to do this as a full time job but I’m interested in what a casual relationship results would look like… basically if I have 5hrs to spend on this a week, or even let’s say 10 designs. is it even going to be worth it as a side hustle/hobby. I’m curious what the possibilities are for a store like that. I’m also curious if you can slowly build your income like that Since you are still adding designs constantly. Or do the design’s sort of go out of style and you’re not putting enough in to increase revenue over time. If you have any videos on this please link! Any input is much appreciated, I hope this made Sense. Thanks for the awesome content
