  • The annual runDisney running extravaganza in January is fast approaching. If this is your first time running a multi-race series you may have some questions about what to pack. After 14+ years of running run Disney events, I've learned how to bring the essentials + plan for the unexpected. In this video I outline how I categorize and pack my race gear for the WDW 5k, WDW 10k, WDW Half, and WDW Marathon. Pack with confidence so you can keep your head focused on getting to the finish line(s).

Thank you for this. I'm doing my first dopey next month and I was looking for this video exactly. Especially love the large zip-loc bag tip. I would have never thought of that.
We're staying for 5 nights after the Marathon, so I'll have to pack a bit more. =)

Hey boss! Appreciate your channel. I’m going to be running my first marathon with you in January! Never ran more than a 5k before officially but I’ve been following their training program and am excited!
Question: did my first 20 mile run and felt some really bad pain in the back of my legs in line with the back of my knees. Hard to walk today lots of pain but no bruising. Any idea what this could be and how to avoid it?

That’s awesome and congratulations on taking on 26.2! I’m not much of a medical expert so I can’t give you much on the pain, but running that distance does take its toll. If it lasts for longer than you think it should, you may want to have it checked out. Happy running!!!
