IT turned out beautiful Sue. I thought for sure the light bulb would burn the shade or do something to make it flatten a bit because of the warmth. You make it looks so easy. I love watching you create. In fact I've been up all night watching. I am signing off and will be back tomorrow to watch more. Thank you. I agree with Katherine Leis. Keep the video's coming. I'm a newbie and will take lessons from you anyday!
Thank you for watching 💕 I am delighted you enjoy the videos. As long as you use an LED bulb, you shouldn't have any issues with the resin. I use mine every evening and had no issues. 💕
It amazing to me what you come up with to make. I guess that’s the difference between an artist and someone doing resin for fun. I love watching your creativity come to life. Keep the videos coming.
Oh! my goodness, Sue, stunning doesn't even come close! You and your brain are just fantastic, as for your artistic ability you are off the chart. Thank you so much for sharing and for keeping us all entertained with your fantastic videos and astounding works of art. xx😘
You are an amazing artist and a really good teacher. Love how creative you get with all that you do. You are the go-to person when it comes to resin sculptures
Stunninh...I have an ugly floor lamp that was given to us...and it has like 6 lamps spray it outward. Maybe someday I will try your cool project on it. 😊
@@SueFindlay hank you very much for your information. yes actually I made an attempt on a plastic that we use with the laminator and it works .. 👍 I wanted my creation to remain straight .. so rigid plastic 👍👍😘😘❤❤🙏🙏🙏 see you . ⚘⚘
Stunning as always. You make it look easy as.. I'm keen to do an old lamp I have following this tutorial... Only question I have is what is the plastic your using to put the resin on for molding?
Thank you 💕 I used cling wrap, although, you could use any kind of plastic that your resin doesn't stick to. I would recommend testing your resin on plastic before commencing with your project. Good luck. 💕
@@SueFindlay Thanks Sue - you're so incredibly helpful. I enjoy watching you create these masterpieces. I have a quick question, do you think I can create a resin lampshade as you did with the cellophane plastic AND apply that to the existing shade? rather than replacing the shade entirely?
I will keep hold of it, so that I can use it as a template to update the lampshade if I get bored with the other one. Or if I plan to sell the shades. 💕
How do I measure how much resin I need (radius 11" ) please my plastic all prepared with silicone edging as not brave enough to be totally freeform as this it my 1st freeform anything 😍👍 or point me in the right direction for the calculator please. Can't wait to get started fingers crossed it's half as good . 💐
I also use an online calculator. I use it only as a guide because quite often I don't need as much. You get to know, over time, how much you will need.

Hi! Do you have a video on how you made your circles to the right size of the lamp? I LOVE all of your work!
I show on the video how I got the radius of the circles, using a measuring tape. 💕
@@SueFindlay thank you. I have no idea how I missed that first minute of your video. Thank you for responding!
R work - lamp is awesome!!! really breathtaking!! I would like to know after how long it is totaly dry?
I usually leave it about a week to fully cure.
Well done Sue 👍 very clever! Should we use heat resistant resin for this project?
Using LED bulbs, works well to keep the resin cool. Using heat resistant resin, will definitely help 😍
Sue Findlay thanks Sue 😍
Awesome!!❤️

جميل جدا تسلم ايديكي يا حلوة
شكرا لكم 💕
Is the resin safe with the heat from the bulb 🤔 can't wait to try this . Totally amazing😍
I only ever use LED bulbs. They don't get too hot and doesn't affect the resin. 💕
Beautiful creation, I'd like to do the same, but where did you get the mineral turpentine oil?
I bought my mineral turpentine from Bunnings. White spirits will do the same thing.
@@SueFindlay Also, what do you think of doing this same technique directly on the lampshade - would that work?
Looks great what can you do with the old lamp shade ?
I will keep hold of it, so that I can use it as a template to update the lampshade if I get bored with the other one. Or if I plan to sell the shades. 💕
What a wonderful idea! I think this is exactly what I was looking for. (=
Glad to be of assistance 💕

I use an online resin calculator, uresin.com.au. 😁
Sue please help! I use online resin calculators but they are never accurate! I either mix too much or not enough. How do you determine?
I also use an online calculator. I use it only as a guide because quite often I don't need as much. You get to know, over time, how much you will need.
Nice ❤️🇩🇰
Thank you 💕
wow that is amazing. you could have used a glue gun resin does not stick to it
My resin is hard to get off hot glue, I would still have to cut it out. Thank you for the idea though! 💕
Beautiful
