I have a friend that says that. He used to be legend and now he's guardian (no joke). He spams techies mid, he steals all farms from everybody, he never puts mines on high ground. He always loses end game. I swear I remembered of jenkins' heralds that have thousands of matches as of today.l, while talking to other friends. Crazy coincidence.
I do the same thing and I went from crusader to ancient 5. Tel him to keep doing it it'll work eventually trust the proceds
Dota end game is more about map awareness and team coordination than anything, its like ur playing a different game at that point. No wonder he keeps losing late, guy steals farm, gets ahead and proceeds to probably die from the most random of instance since he's so ahead that he doesn't expect 5 guys running at him mac 10 speed.
Similar case here, its friends friend though. Hangs around crusader nowdays. Has been in low priority for most of his dota career, auto muted often, shouts racist stuff to his team or enemies constantly, sells/breaks his items and all sort of fun.
This guy has been permanently banned from overwatch (game) at least 3 times so far. Couple of friends still wonder, why i dont play with him anymore. I know one of them just wants him to play in his team, so he can laugh at him raging.
Most of the time, when i have been watching his matches, its either enemy denying creeps in lane or him getting killed 1-2 times in lane, is enough for him to get tilted.
I know this isnt 1:1 same but yeah.
i have a smurf acc you have no idea what kinda crazy stuff i done in it and yet i can't get lower than crusader in it can you tell me your friend secret
also keep in mind if the acc get 2 many reports by initially feeding or grefing it get banned for 2 years
ngl the only reason i made that acc was to reach heralds and have fun smurfing ion even wanna win in heralds i just wanna play those 90 min crazy matches be the guy with 70 kills or play the heros ion even have 100 matches with and just smack everybody

Sorry Clinkz player but if there's anyone in this game that'll likely get out of herald first, it's PL. Dude bought Manta when in my bracket, players stubbornly skip it after Aghanims and Diffusal losing out on a dispel needed for roots and silences.
yeah he could have build bkb and bloodthorn too for a fast kill, linkens etc
Or just have dotaplus recommending manta or having ingame guide active
Nobody bought roots or silences in that game, if clinkz did then ok, but he didnt, so it was actually a suboptimal build

So Ethan actually explained in his email that he bought Shivas because Earthshaker went for Daedelus instead so he decided it was his job to buy the item. Never mind that Mjollnir would have been a much more effective item for him to counter PL with, he HAD to buy it cause his terrible teammate didn't.
If you can't get out of Herald it's because you deserve to be in Herald. Not every game will be winnable, but if you can't reliably carry games in that bracket, from any position, then you are sorely lacking in multiple areas.
Why would someone buy a Shiva's against that lineup tho. BB was a supp so wasn't buying Bloodstone. So their only heal was KOTL's 1st skill. Should've bought Mjolnir or Gleipnir and of course, BKB. Definitely Herald lol.
@@redenalcantara5722 I mean in fairness, Shivas is still a good anti-PL item for the movespeed slow on active and attack speed slow passive. Nothing amazing, but useful, and the damage amp would have gotten Earthshaker some echo kills had he actually bought it. He is at least right that it would have been a more helpful item that game than daed on the shaker, especially given how shaker was playing.
Going the shivas on clinkz is still about the most herald thing you can do though.
@@HeavensBane53 I get the idea behind the shivas, but clinkz here has a case of tunnel vision. They have weigh their options, not just obsess over the idea of "There's PL we need Shiva!!"
@@redenalcantara5722 Not to mention that he didn't buy linken's sphere early on to save his life against LC and PL. Hell, he didn't even buy a bloodthorn for himself. Other than that, he could've solo pushed all by himself considering techies isn't even mining the towers

Ethan might need to rethink his itemization, it basically lost him any lead he may have had after the laning phase.
1. farm efficiency -> low
2. skill usage -> low
3. map awareness -> low
4. itemization -> low
sorry ethan u belong on herald, if u have at least of them decent (not crazy high skill), u can go up to at least crusader, PL is perfect example of someone that will go up, his skill usage, map awareness and itemization is good if u ask me, he is really aware of what can actually kill him (es) (I actually suspect him smurf)

Best advice I can give is "You're exactly what your rank is."
Second best advice I can give is "Pick heroes that can take objectives."
Some low ranks have the mentality that they have to play like pros to win without knowing why the pros do certain things. This guy is one of them. Could’ve easily just built pure dmg, maybe a bkb and he’d snowball. Instead gimps his build with two anti heal items and just falls off the game.
Before you try and miserably fail to play like a pro, you gotta hammer down the basics first. Their fundamentals are always lacking.
Each skill bracket needs it's own meta. Especially solo queue with no communication. It makes it a very different game.

Buy the item you need, not the item you want. (and some 1-2 core item for your hero)
Look, sure Clink think he need a healt reduction, but he choosing shiva than skadi is where you know its not right...
Generally, you pick shiva over skadi, its because 2 thing
1. you need armor
2. you need attack speed reduce
Sure, the attack speed reduce is really good againts PL, but clinkz doesnt need armor, since he already have a lot already, as being an Agility hero
@@Mahfy1 I wasn't talking about this specific game. But in general and not just for items but for heroes as well. A decent player will be able to handle doing more things. Have more active items better micro. A bad player needs less active spells and items because the more they have the more likely they are to forget to use them. Yet bad players who want to git gud try to build like pros or pick like pros. It's always been this way.
I think if heralds replace the mindset of "I'm better than my teammates" with "we all are shitty on a same level", they will get a better chance at ranking up
I think this can be said in any rank/mode

There was one game where my team literally would just cast their spells at the ground.
I took screenshots to show my friends play by play my WD missing every spell
My core walking straight into their team and not reacting through to death.
And I went something like 38-4-30 on abaddon and carried the game.
I had to stop playing dota for 3 weeks after that game.
Its still my highest score game on abaddon in my stats. I had a 78% win ratio on carry offlane abaddon all the way to 4.8k when I started ranked.
Creeps and towers getting damage from the duel facet makes me happy too.

Ethan's not the worst player on his team, but he should take away from this video that 1. the enemies are doing as much awful stuff as yours that you're not seeing, and 2. that he's not making the necessary decisions to capitalise on the advantage the team had. Buying that shivas basically stalled the entire team
Heralds will go slightly well in the early game once, then say "I deserve to be higher"

There’s no such thing as “mmr hell”. If you took a legend or even archon level player and put them in herald they would win 95% of their games. If you think you should be higher ranked than you are then you actually just don’t understand how to win dota games

95% is a bit of an exaggeration tbh i used to be 4k and toying around on herald took abit of adapting (partially cuz most of my best heroes aren't the best solo 1v5 ones lol) but i still managed around 75% which is still more than enough to get out of it quickly
might just be me being abit out of touch leveraging the skill advantage tho... i play so sporadically since 2017

Wait until jenkins learns EVERYTHING gets duel damage. Including but not limited too: Roshan, LD bear, Vissage illusions, Clinx skellies, neutral creeps, towers, eidolons, chen creeps, beastmaster pets, brood spiders, shadow shaman wards, and more.
Thats the great flaw to ES, his passive doesn't share his ultis radius, which often leads to lost dmg hense the blink directly into the enemy team to maximize its effect

Remind me clinkz I had the other day, didn't buy satanic bkb so he just got venge swapped and slowly run away instead of damage and then was crying from DRAFT because I picked pugna offlane instead of tank because I did not want to lane a tank with a pudge. And we stomped the game with 33k lead at 36 minutes but couldn't end and we lost. He was guardian and arguing with me post-game lobby when he ended with 100k damage less than the enemy carry

Tbh i stuck in herald for almost 2 years after drop from crusader after calibration... last year calibration got me boost to archon and now im ancient. I dont know about other region but in SEA there is alot of people stuck bellow deserve

Ethan your problem is items choice. Instead of shivas you could buy some manta or bkb to dispel bloodthorn and ethereal blade. Also instead of desolator you could buy early Mjolnir to counter pl illusions then buy save item like Pike or manta and choose beter position in fights not face to face with enemy. Jenkins could say that but...AH and i forgot about dusts...dusts should be everytime in your inventor..In this game you could kill PL placing sentry before fights or using dusts in them

I feel like most people at Herald are clearly bad at the game, but the environment of Herald games also keep them down. Those games are not good environments to learn anything at all. I think this is why there are Heralds with 2k+ games.

This clinkz thinks that just because he had a couple of easy kills in the early game that he’s the best player here lol. His late game positioning is terrible. PL and Kotl clearly had much better mechanical skills and positioning.

Instead on Shivas get AC and scepter, and just go push towers while the rest of the team fight, and that will take you out of the low bracket ASAP.
I am quite surprised not at Clinkz's performance in particular, but at the overall level in the game. I am not saying they're great, and there's glaring issues, but they're not 'hasn't bought boots and is farming a 34 minute Radiance' bad that one could see in older replays. The builds sorta, or fully made sense and while teamfight was not ideal you can clearly see what was going on in people's heads.
The entire community has improved a lot, everyone is getting better as time goes by
You know what, I think Ethan does deserve a better rank, he did pretty decent and good plays. Sure he had a few mishapes and such, but he did very well considering his situations.
