I have been stuck in Herald because of this same behavior. I started Dota in Dec, 2023. I played my first rank in July, I play casually. In every 2 matches, there are people, who just don't play, or grief, why I don't understand. Btw lost all 6 of my rank qualifications or whatever it's called matches because my Crusader and Archon friends thought it would be funny to have 1 herald in the group. Guess I live there now.
You are still quite new buddy, dont let it get to you. I have players in my clan with 5k games that are still Herald. Ive played for 10 years and im only crusader. Have fun in herald, eventually you will get out Btw the placement matches would probably have put you there regardless
I really hate that the Kez was rewarded for wasting all his teams wards on the fucking portal by getting the kill on Ursa and the getting the Aegis for himself. He's gonna waste wards in every game now D:
