Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe part of the reason for having the MET Gala is because the Costume Institute is the only part of the MET that has to provide their own funding because we as a society don't believe fashion history is important. Obviously that doesn't mean the MET Gala doesn't have problematic parts (also the clothes haven't been good since Heavenly Bodies in 2018, in my opinion), but it's annoying that we undervalue such a significant part of history.

I saw an article that highlighted how many people on the carpet, especially BIPOC and fat folk intentionally wore items that KL would have HATED like wearing pink, men’s leg hair, being fat, etc. EPIC 🙌
Harvey Guillén (Guillermo from What We Do in the Shadows) is a great example of this!! He's a plus size, gay, Latino man and had on a gorgeous pink suit and cape.
Kackie if you want to stimulate your hair follicles so your hair will grow thicker. Get a bottle of straight castor oil. Massage the castor oil into your scalp and leave it on for 30 to 45 minutes before you wash your hair. Also, massage with some grit, you gotta get down to those follicles to wake them back up and the castor oil stimulates hair growth the same way it stimulates other uhhhhh you know.... things. I'm 43 and it's is the only thing that works for me. Castor oil in a clean plastic hair color bottle is the easiest way to apply it to your scalp.

It's really disappointing to see that you deleted comments. You said some misinformed things around 22:00 in response to the individual asking about their mother-in-law. There's a BIG difference between hate and people educating you (and others) on why it can be dangerous to armchair diagnose or generalize people with mental conditions and/or personality disorders.
As someone with BPD, I do wish someone had told me earlier. I'd been bouncing around from therapists/counselors/etc. for years never knowing how to describe what was happening. I entered into the WORST relationship I've ever been in & it took explaining what was happening in my head for a friend to say "I think you have BPD." Heres my therapists number. I was in therapy a week later, that was 7 years ago. I now have a formal ADHD/BPD/Autism diagnosis & am beginning to understand so much more about how I perceive the world & interact with it because someone told me I might have a diagnosable problem.

My cousin used to be a model professionally in Toronto; she was 5 foot 9 and weighed about 120 lbs, and she was called the "fat girl" and pressured to lose weight. People pretend models are just 'naturally that thin' and that is nonsense. Of course different people have different body types, and yes, models are naturally taller and thinner people. But to become so thin as to lose your period (as many of them do) is something you must maintain through restriction-based eating disorders. Example: Bella hadid put out an eating plan once and it was 800 calories per day (this will kill you).

Reportedly, his mother told him, as a kid, that he would never be as beautiful as her, and, later, she never attended his shows, saying she preferred other designers.
