@@selectingneutral Having started on a Yamaha YR1 350cc cafe racer in the mid-1960s, I "thought" I was fast until one of the guys in my group of friends took off on the coast highway, north of San Francisco on a sunny Sunday morning. That was my flat-out intro to the "Sunday Morning Ride!!" There was a group of riders who gathered on early Sunday mornings to scream up the road from Stinson Beach to Point Arena. The trip up and back was a good day's ride... make that "a good FAST" day's ride!
Much like you guys found, just when you feel like you're making pretty good time, some "so & so" screams past you like you're tied to a post! I found that I learned fastest if I could tuck in behind a guy who was faster than I was and just stick to him. I figured that if he could lean in that far on a corner, there was no reason I couldn't do it too. I learned a lot in a short time that way. I guess I was also fortunate that I never tucked in behind some Kamikaze Crazy and followed him off a cliff. The list of riders who lost it and "kissed the granite" was way too long and many guys did get hurt. A closed go kart course should be much safer than a crooked coast highway but the learning opportunity is similar. Tuck in behind someone better than you, and stick to him or her. A girl with no fear and 20% less weight on a similar kart will be really competitive!

rotax are no where near 400 hp the closer to 30hp because of power to weight

      He meant hp to tonne

He's still wrong race weight is 162kg and power is approx 30.5hp
      Gives you 188hp a tone
