Thank you for the mention in the video I appreciate it, it was me that had the accident, it’s gonna be a long recovery and I have to have another operation to remove the pins in my leg once it heals but I will be back. Currently laying in bed playing F1 2021 😂.
@Firstname Lastname when you grow up to be a big boy, you'll realize that failures are just a part of the process of growth - if you're reflective and choose to learn form them. also where's your 600k subscriber youtube channel bro
When I stumbled on your channel some months ago I didn't care about motorsport or racing video games. I've watched dozens of your videos and now the only thing I play are racing video games (with a wheel go figure!) and I even follow F1, cheering for Lando Noris. You are a class act and a fantastic entertaining communicator. Thank you for a new hobby and hours and hours of learning and entertainement.
Steve you’ve done amazing mate I was speaking to Dan Holland, he speaks very highly of you and all your hard work loosing weight and perfecting the lines, you should be really proud of what you’ve done mate keep it up 👍
Hello, SuperGT, viewer here. Seeing you go backwards in the positions at times really does feel frustrating, but it is within those feelings of frustration that we get to see how hard competitive karting is. So close, yet so far. And seeing learning opportunities in both wins and losses just like you do can only make you better. Thank you for some nice, close racing. Big kudos, & go get 'em. ;)
5th is a great result! Watching how it unfolded, was a bit of a heartbreaker, cuz we all wanna see our guy on the podium! Good job Steve! Can't wait for the next round!
You are the GOAT! Thanks to you I have started karting, it's very hard to find a proper gokart track in Sweden... Except from just creating content you give hope to people! I love watching your video, I've learned so much from them! Keep the good work up man!
I was there trackside with my brother, brilliant to see you do well in the final, finishing 5th if I remember, huge step up from the start of the year!
Such an improvement from when you started Senior Rotax. Your confidence is translating into elevated aggression on the track. Those more seasoned drivers are going to have to take note of your progress or find themselves eating your exhaust fumes. Well done Steve.
As someone who has watched since the early days of the Forza videos it’s really awesome to watch you progress into real life driving success. If you ever end up racing in America I’ll be there. Happy for you
I drove in karts one time and having no rear view mirror scared the shit out of me, not knowing what's happening behind, I was very slow (because first time) and the other people were much faster than me, so my "race" was basically trying to guess from nothing where people would come from to pass me, trying to stay out of the way, that day was awesome because I wanted so much to drive in karts, but also scary as hell.
Yeah this is common when you're starting out. I recall when I first raced back in 2002 and I was thinking more about the other karts than thinking about my own driving.
When I lend a kart to people to try I tell them this. Look forward ignore everyone and everything behind you. Focus on your driving and line etc. People who are better and faster will get past and its their responsibility to do it safely. If you keep looking back you're not in full control or paying attention to what you're trying to do. I tell people never move off your line as it makes you unpredictable. People behind maybe coming up behind at a high pace and have committed to pass you in a certain way. If you do something unpredictable or lurch out the way its far more likely their will be a collision 💥 You have as much right to be there as them and they will know how to pass you if you just do your thing and keep to a predictable line as you're focused on what you're doing. Also if you keep moving out the way you slow up which means even more people catch you and you never ever get up to speed as the next person catches. By focusing on you, you actually get the opportunity to pick up your speed and then less people pass you. So next time eye's forward do your thing you'll get even more out of it.
Really happy to see all of your improvements (especially how you've improved your stability on the brakes) in driving the cart. You're honing your race craft and improving fitness, all of which is helping you fight at the front and/or move forward in the pack. Love to see it.
bro, i just wanted to say, thank you for getting me into sim racing. i’m not the best, or the worst, but i remember watching a Gran Turismo video (idk which one) 2 years ago, and that’s got me into cars, and sim racing a lot more. Thank you Steve.
I genuinely like watching super gt drive and I think he’s actually a pretty great driver. Hoping one day someone decides to give him a seat in professional racing 👌
So, firstly - well done!!!! Secondly, we’re all clear now that there are only 2 issues here. Either your new chasis has sorted whatever was wrong with the old one, or with less rubber down your kart works much better. Either way making good progress. I’m chuffed for you. On another day that was a nailed podium finish.
Well done Steve, seems that the new cart, physical training and race training has really paid off. You missed out on the podium - but at least you aren't going backwards like you were previously. Onwards and upwards!
Steve idk how you feel about this comment but you look so much more confident at this circuit, you showed real pace in this one. Keep at it you'll replicate pace like this everywhere in good time Love the swarm of vids lately, thank you
Nice dude! You're looking pretty competitive out there. Glad to see it's starting to come together for you. And 5th? Sheeeit, that's one whole position better than 6th aka the "SuperGT Especial"
Amazing Race Steve, good too see you going full sent and improving on track. Next year you will be so much more comfortable racing and bringing us great content!
Was great watching it live from Bathurst Australia, love the banter with the commentators , they kind of know me by now across a few different tracks. Your progress has been great this season Mate, good job and race craft is stepping up as I said it would with laps and races. 2022 will be a great season for you with this learning year completed.
I went whilton a couple weeks ago in my senior rotax for first time in about 18 months Turn 1 and 2 is a lot tricker in a rotax then club 100, taking loads of curb turn 1 really did help me but took me most the day to realise. Also definitely a circuit that gets you practicing on brakes and getting confident on braking. We had an open pit lane too as it was a quiet Wednesday's with only 17 karts total.
nice job steve! You introduced me to me to Club100 (only had done 4 stroke rental championships before) and did a test at Whilton Mill and have another one booked at Bayford Meadows with an aim to do Lightweights next year. All the best!
One note on that seat-time: From Rock Climbing and Skateboarding experience - sports that also require precision and explosiveness in dynamic situations - there's no getting around the 2-3 years it takes to thicken up those tendons and connective tissues. The brain and muscle get there sooner, but building sport-specific, steel-strong support (hello F1 neck, two finger chin-ups) takes constant use at the limit.
As a multiple Kart champion(I don't get to brag about that alot hahah) I highly recommend a driving coach. Best money you can spend when racing 👌loved watching Alex Baron show up to Skusa events with 6 year old chassis keeping up with Stars drivers (stars of karting)
Hi Steve, recently found your channel through Quadrant and I'm loving your content, hope you finish off the season well and you've even inspired me to give low level competitive karting down here in Australia a go, there's a new multi layout venue opening near me that will be running 12 round weekly/monthly tournaments in sodi RSX's, keen to give it a go, should be fun!
Holy shit, the zoom in on that driver going backwards on the track for some reason made me laugh so hard I had to pause the video for a bit. I did not expect that at all, it caught me so off guard lmfao.
i ve pauzed @ 16:30 ..Steve you re driving awesome.. i m not a racing driver but i can see the progress. btw running on friday is probably more key the u might think.. kinda like missing out on a free practice in F1 .. i ll continue watching now 😁
👏👏Look at this! Idk if anyone's told you this but. Notice how when winning doesn't matter you do the best I've seen? could just be the new cart but I've always had a feeling that your desire to win Is the reason you don't, even in GT, sometimes you think too much and just need to drive and free your mind from the data on your laptop and counting every corner. Be the car, be the road. Very aggressive in practice 😆
See? I told you you'd get some better runs to make up for the weeks where you felt you hadn't done very well! I liked this one - it was great to see your kart race go a similar direction to your GT Sport races, with a calculated and consistent push towards the front of the pack. Happy to be along for the ride (pardon the pun) to keep watching you grow as a racer. Next stop: Red Bull!! 😁

Femurs are nasty bones to break, hope it gets better soon and at the very least you will have some mighty battle scars by the sound of it xD
Get well mate, hope you get a good recovery and come back twice as fast
Good luck with the recovery mate
come back better than Hamilton, hope it gets better quick
Speedy recovery
Steve, I really appreciate that you share your failures as well as successes with the channel. It's been great to watch you on this journey. Cheers!

This is exactly what happend to me
cheering for lando norris made me laugh for some reason, but good for you, welcome to the wonderful world of motorsport!
Welcome to the club 😎
Me to
I bought g290 and start play assetto corsa and forza after i watch his channel
I think he will have good jop if he start commenting for f1 races
I love at 4:00 steve just completely ignores the kid in the shadow realm on the left side of track.
what is he supposed to do then?
@@ragnarsimuland9799 I meant in the commentary of it not on track, My b should have been more specific. Usually we get a great shadow entry joke
18:43 Just a Diablo casually hanging out in the gravel
Yeah lol. I was wondering if he'd get a closer look/film it a bit.
there is also a mercedes 300 sl on the right.

Same here in germany. Here in Munich, BMW bought the last proper track and built a parking lot there... The closest proper track is a 3h drive away.
Same here in turkey
Come to denmark lol
That's super cool! Good luck in your races
I was there trackside with my brother, brilliant to see you do well in the final, finishing 5th if I remember, huge step up from the start of the year!
40 mins of racing highlights. That’s like a perfect length of video for racing highlights. Great vid dude. Can’t wait for more

When Steve gets better than 6th place in a 29th position race, against veteran rotax drivers, its a good time!
That was just brilliant. Compare that last race with one of your earlier races and they are worlds apart. Onwards and upwards.
Congrats Steve. Really happy you're finding your feet in the new kart. Fun to watch a breakdown of the whole week
Saw this live this weekend. You've really drawn attention to British karting!
31:30 damn, didn’t realise Jordan Pickford was that good at karting
Thank you! Loved the talk through of the whole weekend seeing the whole process as well as the strategy discussions. Great stuff.
Just want to say your content is better than it’s ever been, really enjoying it.
bro, i just wanted to say, thank you for getting me into sim racing.

P2 was on mate!! Crazy watching your progression through this season. Top teir content. 24 hour Nürburgring IRL coming soon???
Steve idk how you feel about this comment but you look so much more confident at this circuit, you showed real pace in this one. Keep at it you'll replicate pace like this everywhere in good time
Love the swarm of vids lately, thank you
It certainly helped that this is the track I've driven the most this year.
I have learnt so much about strategy and racing in general through your videos mate. Cheers.
Well done Steve, it's been a treat watching you progress in IRL racing!
Looking forward to more!

A lot of times I learn something from your vids but this one was by far the most educational for me 😃
Doing my first BUKC race at Whilton next month after being fastest in my test session. Thanks for the inspiration Steve!
Good luck for the season mate. BUKC is great fun, you'll love it.

Fantastic video Steve, great to follow your journey and keep up the great content.
Well done Steve, great to see you progressing
Did my first karting session in 6 years the other day, had so much fun! Makes these videos a little closer and more relatable too
Quality drive mate great weekend by the look of things keep going the podium will come!
Good show sir. The new cart really seems to be hooked up pretty good. Cant wait to see the next race.
Best I’ve seen u drive Steve good job keep going and improving you have improved massively
Steve, good job with adding the video, you are extremely talented, cheers

Looking so much more confident on the brakes and turn in Steve, it really shows on the external camera into Chistmas corner. Great work 💪
Happy for you, man! Great progress and I really enjoyed the commentary.
Need more videos like this this is awesome to see so much action

Absolute banger of a video, handsome lad and satisfying Karting
top work mate!! fully expected it. The past results never really reflected your ability.
hey mate you really inspired me to do karting so i have just started to race. keep up the great content.

But Steve, how can you improve on perfection??
Really good clean racing Steve much respect!
Congrats Steve, nice race
Fantastic racing Steve! It's really nice to see you keep chipping at it and getting better :)
