And then after joker wins for the first part he poses with a fighting stance while saying "looks like you lost" I'm like akechi bruh you didn't do shit! You're cool but this ain't your time to look cool!
I get what you are saying but I don't totally agree. I think there is nothing in P4G that is as compelling as the third semester in P5R, the conflict it's not just to live in blissful ignorance or seek and accept the truth, but it's actually more of a continuation of "Chaos vs Lawful" themes of the vanilla game. If Joker accepts Maruki's deal, then he is just given up control of everything, even his reality, to someone else (Just like the masses where given up their will to the Holy-Grail in vanilla), if he rejects Marukis deal, then he has to decide for himself what reality is, what is right and wrong (essentially, justice). That's what I think is different from P4G, Joker's rejection of Maruki's reality doesn't imply that he will obtain some sort of truth, but just a chance to maybe insert his will into the world the way he sees fit, it's also why I think its better than P4G, because there is a lot of moral ambiguity in the decision itself, and I could see people siding with either side of the argument. P.S: Don't wanna come across as if I don't like P4G, it has other strengths over P5R, I just think P5R is such a step up storywise...
@@daniellevymoreno1141 Well half of what you said i agree except the part of insert his will into the world the way he sees fit....if he's accept offer mean that new reality will be what he's see fit as well since he accept that reallity as what he want it to be not as Akechi prefer to finish it all. What true ending mean that everyone control there own faith(some people could say we got freedom) without facade reality so it's mean Joker and everyone will be free from any wish(mean Joker don't have anything control in reality) and just accept the world as it is and not live as what anyone wish is.....cause peoples have tendency to manipulate other. as you can see our world have fake new. the rich in control the power. peoples can't speak the truth anymore and everyone selfish in there desire. even Covid i'm not even sure is someone manipulate or incontrol lol people will wish for this for that. this game just call for us to be more consider what you are wishing for and that it and live on. it's similar between seeking the truth and accept reality .. but P4 concept is just seeking the truth and free the world. P5 will be kind of free the world to accept reality. i think that how it is may be i'm wrong but that how i see it.
@@I_Eated_The_Soap he was so underdeveloped in vanilla, he seemed bad because he was evil and bad and evil and edgy and bad but here he actually has motivation
I find it interesting that he was able to hijack her persona like that. We have seen cases of a persona going berserk, but it was as if he was able to give the persona an identity of its own and then direct its rage at us
That felt no different than in P4 where Shadow selves were denied by their originals and they became themselves and not part of them. Those “you’re not me” moments.
@@demi-femme4821 Plus in the Persona 3 movies, there were moments where if a Persona-user had tinges of self-doubt, their own Persona either goes wild, or tries to kill them. It happened to Shinjiro, Chidori, and even Yukari.
Well Personas in this game are merely a reflection of themselves. Cendrillion IS Sumi (Kasumi most likely, as I feel her rank 10 awakening is Summer's true persona).
@@DonVito703that's actually a really interesting line given the situation. Joker is literally dragging sumire out of the lie she begged for and showing her that yes she can face it, and to simply bury it is to bury just how much her sister loved and admired her. And that while it's painful, kasumi made her decision willingly without any hesitation at all.
I just realized this. Joker denies Maruki's reality, right? Then Akechi shouldn't be here in that case. But here's the thing. Joker denies this, but Akechi is still here. So with no one really realizing, this Akechi right here is our Akechi.
@@Jack_Frost526 they're not fakes. Dr. Maruki literally rewrote the events so that all those that have died would still be alive. So in a sense, Dr. Maruki revived them. Except for Akechi who didn't evenly disappear when Joker refused Dr. Maruki's reality. So Akechi is really alive and not dead.
This guy is much different than any past persona enemies, he tries so hard to avoid fighting them, but he knows you can't change Jokers mind and he's the leader, but he doesn't want to act like kamoshidas shadow, he doesn't want to fight them, but if it comes to it, he wants a fair fight, and has the ability to not make people go berserk, but worse their own persona, this guy is imo an stier persona antagonist, also keep in mind he literally warped reality as a whole, and the only ones who know anything about it are wild card users, and even their minds can become distorted as seen in akechi in the fake reality ending, and as we know he could easily kill joker completely, he just doesn't want to m
What I find most scary about him is the fact he can make a persona go from the looks of it completely berserk, and apparently make them stay alive for a darn long amount of time if they eat other Shadows. What would happen if he somehow did that to Akechi or Joker? No good, that I'm sure.
King Crazy not to be rude but adatchi or however you spell it from persona 4 seems a lot more scary to me since he kills because he feels like he is too good for his position and pushing people into the tv and watching people suffer and he also represents what the protagonist would be like without friends since which is proven by his persona or shadow being your persona but the color scheme being inverted
@@Grima-su6os well considering Akechi can himself and others go berserk. Probably the same thing with his victims now I'm wondering if Azathoth knocked Sumire out so she wouldn't start lashing out like Akechi does for his showtime?
Plus, before the battle begins, she says "I don’t want to go back to my life in cinders", referencing the fact that she was essentially used as a slave by her mother and step-sisters in her house and was called "Cinderella" because of how often she'd be covered in cinders after cleaning the fireplace.
AlexTheRed1985 Oh, that’s why she's called that. I thought it was just some strange thing with copyright that meant they couldn’t use "Cinderella". I suppose it does make more sense to use her original name.
The Joker vs Sumire fight was more heartbreaking than I thought... Hearing her say "Don't make me do this..." really tugs my heartstrings. Imagine this scene in anime form with Joker actually talking... If I ever get to see Joker holding back his strength and trying to talk some sense into Sumire animated, I don't think my heart could take it...

Is it me or this whole boss encounter just disturbs me more than anything in the game? The tentacle/adhesive device thing doesn't turn me on at all. (I know people do here.)
@@felixma9192 Yes, but it's contextually bad in this case. The only good thing is that it seems like Maruki is just trying to say "Snap her out if you can because you did it to the other 7 guys" instead of actually trying to kill you. BTW if that were a real persona (It isn't) she might die because if it was he's killing her Shadow, pretty sure he knows that ripping that off lets you snap her out instead because he just killed the overlay.
@@toddhoward841 That's not even what I think, I think of it as just disturbingly weird in a different way. (It's the same feeling from Persona Q2's Yosukesaurus fight)
I knew out of all of Skill was more of the tank, but to take a blast like that practically unscathed, what little respect I had for him increased ten fold.
You've definitely gotten a lot better at the game compared to 5 months ago. Not rushing as much and analyzing the situation more. Looking at Sumire's denial in English now, I can't help but feel even more sorry for her despite being harsh with her initially for being easily manipulated by Maruki. But then again, she did have PTSD from seeing the real Kasumi die in that car accident. Looking at this, it seems like she's easy to take down despite her amazing strength and agility. I'm sure Joker could have easily killed her if he wanted to, but was holding back enough to defend himself. He was still somewhat harsh with her to get the point across and make her stop. For my solo battle, maybe I should bring Abaddon, Rangda, or a Persona that absorbs or reflects physical attacks.
@@mrex666productions7 I see. I do wonder, when fighting solo against her as Joker, would Curse attacks work against her in terms of weakness? I remember Cendrillon is weak against Curse.

Actually I think Morgana made a part too, because when the protag thinks about those scenes, the one with Morgana is the only one where he's reconsidering, the rest just show how happy they are, and then after this the game gives you the option to choose.
I remember before I played Royal I was thinking to myself: “Man, it would be so cool if the third semester had a unique and emotional boss fight that takes place before the actual new final boss. That would be amazing... but it would never happen.” I love being wrong.

After seeing this scene so many times, I came to the conclusion that Sumire wanted to live a lie because Doc ENABLED her depressed state. Meaning she never chose at all, he chose for her.
Yeah he pretty much says as much. The Doc's apparently the best way he can save his patience is by having them escape their problems rather than strive to overcome them. He sees pain he removes it, luckily he has his reasons which make for an interesting story.
@@Akechi_The_Phantom_Detective All of that… because of terrible circumstances beyond his control. Not to mention his research being unaccepted by academia out of nowhere, just when he was making progress (that moment was within someone else’s control, a certain bald man). And now, he genuinely wants to live a life where bad things never happen, and his inability to grieve is bleeding out in his sessions.
I remember when i fighted her i didn't want to hurt her because my persona was super broken and was imnune to all of her attacks so i just guard and i thought something different would happen if i didn't hurt her ,but after 3 turns nothing happened so i just threw 2 charged amplified megidolaons at her and made me feel awful
honestly the lines delivered by Maruki sound like a what a normal hero would say to the villain, like the music and situation make it dark and he's the villain but the way he tries to help, doesn't really want to hurt Sumire, wants to give everyone a happy ending and his tone, his kind tone make it sound like the protagonist trying to help convince the villain not to hurt more people. And honestly, it gives a feeling of unsettleness and awesomeness like, DUDE its perfect
I knew it was coming (not jumping on the Persona train until 2 weeks ago does that to you) but man this fight hurt especially when Sumire is here pouring her heart out begging you not to make her live blaming herself for what happened to Kasumi
"Now, be her guide...and together, escape from the nightmare!" Honestly my favorite line in the entirety of the third semester, I love Maruki as a villain since he definitely feels less like he's doing it selfishly and doing it as an act he truly believes would benefit all of society.
Maruki: Sadly she has lost sight of herself, she’s in pain... Me: Because you’re making it worse. Maruki: ...now, be her guide, and together, escape from the nightmare! Me: YOU are the true living nightmare, Doc.
Facts. He literally retraumatized in her in the worse way possible by showing her that video, and asks her to choose his reality while she's still recoiling from her broken mental state. He knew *full well* she'd never be able to give a rational answer in that state of mind, but still pressed her about it in order to convince the others to submit to him. It's absolutely self-serving, whether he intends it to be or not. And even after seeing how detrimental putting her into this position was, he still proceeded to drive both Sumire AND her persona (the only part of her that was somewhat able to realize the truth early on) mad enough to try and kill her only friends. Just look at her in this scene. She's completely unhinged and clearly just needs time to cope with her feelings, yet when Joker finally gets her to calm down a bit, Maruki steps in and proceeds to give her more of his twisted "help" when she even ask for it. Essentially encouraging to continue going forth and trying and kill her friends..
@@DLxxx As much as it gave Sumi time, that actualization had a very dangerous side effect: If that person needs to grieve, they can’t grieve because they literally can’t remember. Thoughtbubble’s video on the “counseling” session with Sumire and Maruki kinda puts my words in a well-placed manner. Try to see it if you get the chance. Here is the link: ruclips.net/video/M8z7xwlEFGI/видео.html Also, if Doc were a good counselor, he’d give Sumi the chance to answer one month after the truth was revealed. But Doc’s inability to deal with sorrow was getting in the way of that and sees running away from pain as THE end all be all solution to EVERYTHING. It sounds nice at first glance, but our senses would dull and when crap REALLY does hit the fan, our wills would be non-existent, we’d be so dependent on those happy “realities” that we are unable to adapt for anything at all.
@@DLxxx Also, if this scene was inproved in anime form (if done right), Joker, in a unusual fit of rage, would try to rush at Maruki. And Akechi, despite being a beast who unleashes his fury, is the one to calm Joker down. Joker would also cut apart the tentacles in order to separate Sumire from them and stop Cendrillon’s rampage (Maruki can’t control other Persona’s if he doesn’t have a Persona-user in his grasp). Just like when Narukami rushed at Kuni-no-Sagiri in Persona 4: The Animation when Nanako was kidnapped.
"...I'll hear your final decision on the 3rd. If your views can't align with mine by then, we'll have no other choice but a physical altercation. As much as I would loathe that, I still can't give up what I've started..." This was my favorite part of Maruki's farewell, but his parting words really got to me the first time I heard them. You can tell he doesn't want to fight, but he's hellbent on what he swore he'd do. I know it's been mentioned already in these comments, but I mainly just watched this video for those final lines.
I see why she's upset but life doesn't always go as planned. That's why there's both good and evil. To prepare you for both. Getting rid of one leads to stagnation.
One of the reasons why I can’t accept Maruki’s reality is because you’re going to “kill” Sumire. I didn’t really want to fight her so I just used Tetrakarn.
Ill apologize for the long comment but....to confirman this was one of the heartbreaking fights than there was Ren was jsut fresh from the last encounters way back since the palace of Shido and the aftermaths. Between reclaiming control, the betrayals and manipulations things could had taken a toll only for another painful truth to be revealed. But unlike the previous encounters...he was virtually alone. All his friends are happily living in an utopia....yet he knew than it was not the best way and onyl ally at the moment, was the harsh detective who while having complicated deals, it was his harsh but needed way that was necessary to figure out the enigma. I feel taht deep down, Ren wasnt taking lpeasure in having to give those reminders and would had expected a fight with anyone on his ursue those truths....it didnt mean he was wanting that. And while not knowing full details on SUmire...he still did not want to hurt someone who he felt was very caring and concerned off his behalf..tereating him with respect and being so friendly...it was one of those fights he would not show his usual confidence, charm or even wrath but...a plea. NOt that Sumire has it easy. For what coul be like nearly a year she was acting like someone else..out of her own fear and sadness taht her own self is so meaningless that no one would had noticed or cared if she was gone and the guilt and sorrow over having costed the life off someone she cared. So big is her sorrow that she thinks the senpai she cares so much, is determined to bring her back to the normal deal because he wants to do what is right..yet a mix of guilt, self anger and a desperate heartache made her loose control...and if it wasnt for the timely intevention from Ryuji or tackup....she nearly commited a mistake that would had been just as big as her tragedy.... While major damages were avoided...it is very clear neither wanted to fight the other.....but Ren needed to do what had to be done if he wanted to save someone..even if he would had been forced to hold back or take the toughest decitions.
RedfurredPikachu Are you sure? Ryuji and Morgana got dropped into my party despite the fact I haven't used Morgana since Kaneshiro and Ryuji since Kamoshida fhfjdhdhs
@@IDontReallyWantARUclipsHandle Of course I am, Morgana's a healer and he's a sword guy. Also despite what people are saying I've seen him take some pretty hard hits and still not die. Also I'm fond of cute litte guys like him, I'll have my badass warriors but it's so fun to see a charachter like Morgana be able to equally keep up with those warriors. Makoto's great as both a backup healer and she can raise defense which is super helpful. No matter what those two never left my party except when they were forced too. I swapped out Makoto for Kasumi for this last palace only because I like to try out the new members of the party and because she does'nt get to join for the main story means this is the only chance I'll get to use her same goes for Akechi. To be honest I'm still a little worried this will bite me in the ass not having Makoto there for the bosses but Akechi can lower an enemies attack and defense.
RedfurredPikachu I don’t think so, I had Morgana and Yusuke put into my party but I never use Morgana, since I get rid of him as soon as I get Makoto and hadn’t used him since Madarame, and I hadn’t used Yusuke since Nijima’s palace, so it probably is random.
The sign behind sumire says: "No fear, step forth into new possibilities". Kinda ironic since accepting Maruki's deal is the death of all their possibilities, beyond what Maruki has designed for them.
I will not hesitate to mention... During the cutscene in which the other thieves come into the picture... Cendrillion launched a Vorpal Blade. And Ryuji took it without so much as a twinge of shakiness. He just took it, and was like "Yeah, nice try, fuckhead."
I want HAVE bestfriend like Ryuji Sakamoto... He will come no matter what when his buddy having trouble... Even he secrifice himself... Wow... Salute...
"Thank you for coming." You're most welcome, Aizen. Although, I don't think Chair-sama is particularly fond of having a young redhead sitting in their lap. Best switch places before the tension grows even more stiff, yes?
Maruki became Izanami (Japanese goddess of the underworld (P4 true final boss))but he doesn’t even realize it he basically becomes the wish maker and doesn’t know it but to be honest that’s what makes him scarier
I love how Akechi drops his cool detached act for a second at 7:28 and is just genuinely upset on someone else's behalf. Even though Sumire spends most of the infiltration as a liability, he never once suggests bailing on her, and while he'd obviously rationalize it as needing manpower or knowing Joker would never agree to it, deep down, he sees a fellow victim and wants to help her. It's a shame the trio plotline just ends here, I would've liked a scene of Sumire thanking Akechi and seeing him having to process receiving heartfelt gratitude.
I just realized that the two new characters in persona 5 Royale are Marie the Maruki is the boss form of Marie where it wants to hide from the truth and Sumire is Marie before and after the boss fight in the hallow forest
I have to say never felt so conflicted about a choice in a game I choice the right choice for the true ending but man made me really think what I would really choose if I were in jokers shoes
I just noticed, at 2:55 the butterfly (presumably either Philemon or Lavenza), appears after Joker denies Maruki's offer. It could be Philemon overseeing Joker's decision and the brief appearance at 2:55 most likely signify how please he is with Joker's choice. (P.S., if you don't know who Philemon is: he is a deity that created Igor and can also turn into a butterfly. He mostly appears in Persona 2).
I think it's the fact that our actions in this entire chapter is essentially the definition of morally grey area is why this third semester is so good. I just can't wrap my head around it, you know. Are we really glad that we have an effective cure for trauma? Sumire sure did. Anyone who had a PTSD in their lives, most likely too...
Are you referring specifically to Maruki's palace or the 3rd semester as a whole? I don't really think that moral grey instantly makes something better so I'd like to hear your thoughts.
@@forgetfulcloud1914 Well specifically Maruki's palace. I'm speaking it in terms of story arc. Anyway, my thoughts are this one in particular makes you really think about our lives and relate in a psychological form that's not bound by circumstance so it's good.
@@forgetfulcloud1914 I really like it, it makes him a different villain from the others. He geuniunely believes he's helping people and does'nt understand why doing things like he does would be wrong. When i was up to this boss fight i was just laughing that Kasumi thought she'd win against Joker and Akechi in a fight, Akechi knew he would destroy so he didn't fight because she definitely would of died
Keep in mind: She doesn't even have that much health compared to most short boss fights. My theory is that Joker is holding back his strength and is only focusing on snapping her out.
@@Mikura39 That and perhaps she's not quite as strong as she could be because she's still pretending to be 'Kasumi' rather than embrace who she really is.
Something to note is that Maruki made Sumire THINK she was Kasume. but because that was her wish, he doesn’t consider that it might be better for him to revive the real Kasume despite having the power to do so now. Really shows how shallow he is in his wish granting imo. Not to mention the clearly unhealthily lengths she goes to ‘become’ Kasume again.
That's the idea. He prioritizes removing pain above all else. He realized if he brought Kasumi back to life, Sumire would once again constantly feel inferior, which would cause her a great deal of pain. Remember that his desires have become distorted, which led him to his destructive idea of salvation.
I love that when joker fights with akechi alone, the soundtrack has no lyrics, and when the rest of the phantom thieves joined the fight, the lyrics came back
You could tell even for a boss fight that joker was holding back the entire time he could have easily defeated her right then and there but he didn’t because he wanted her to realize living in this reality is running from the truth
6:32 ...This part irked me when I got to it. Something didn't feel right about how he went about it all. Made me feel like he was more trying to guilt-trip Joker rather than try to help. And honestly, that was the feeling I got from him from the moment the third semester began, to the point where I legitimately think the only reason he didn't overwrite Joker's cognition was because he wanted Joker to admit he's right, and now whenever I see that moment I can't help but think "You're exacerbating her issues, some of which you outright caused, to prove a point?" ...So, at the end of it all, I think I actually kinda hated him. Anyone else feel like that?
Maruki did overwrite joker's cognition. Remember when Joker dreamt of the school and he had his prisoner clothing on again? He was imprisoned but his will to "go home" managed to let him break free. And I think that Maruki actually wanted to help Joker as thanks for Joker's accidental help in mentioning Mementos which made Maruki's work possible in the first place. Not to mention what Joker went through to get to this point. Tbh I thought that Kasumi would be the one to break Joker out the matrix but Joker managed again on his own. that's the wild card of rebellion for you
I hated it when maruki forcefully took control of sumires persona he send he wasn’t hurting anyone but he clearly was and by the way why didn’t he help the new mementos requests
The stuff Maruki did to Sumire and the things she went through because of his “help” will cement him in my mind as a villain. You don’t just do that to people, let alone a suicidally depressed teenager.
They why for the mementos request, the group theorized that he couldn’t change everyone’s lives right away and needed time to take full control on the deadline
Oh man... the desperation in Kasumi/Sumire during the fight. Torn between harming a good friend and facing a great pain herself. Well Done. Just well done.
Joker and Akechi being alone on this part of the final palace gave me a vibe that I couldn't quite comprehend, but really love at the same time. Like the rival duo that ends up an unstoppable team. There's a way to better word this, but maybe I'll figure it out on my next second royal playthrough. all in all, I'm really glad that they completed Akechi's arc in this game, I felt robbed in vanilla, lol
Sumire : Please...don't try to stop me *Akechi turns to Joker * Akechi : Nah , not my problem. Hey dude , I leave this on you since she is your girlfriend Joker : wait wha Akechi : Also make sure you give her a VERY GOOD Time all right? Joker : Nani Also Joker : I guess I prefer Sumire long hair instead of Ponytail.
I feel like this might be overlooked but even though this is maruki’s palace ,he isn’t a shadow like the other rulers Other than the previous final boss
Alibaba There is something I’d like to add in the adaptation. Foreshadowing events that say that Sumi is not who she claims to be, that the people around find her deluded. We (the audience) see the effects of Maruki’s power overriding Sumi’s cognition just to ensure she doesn’t enter a depressive fit of rage. Why not have Maruki intervene and give a slight overdose of his power to Sumi as an act of impulse. Plus a flashback/album of the Yoshizawa siblings when they were still practicing or when they were kids.

P.S: Don't wanna come across as if I don't like P4G, it has other strengths over P5R, I just think P5R is such a step up storywise...
Daniel Levy Moreno This. While I did enjoy the Marie Dungeon, it definitely isn’t as complex and expansive as Maruki’s Palace
@@daniellevymoreno1141 i wonder what p6 will be im thinking of peace or violence

Hey great value version of me
I just realized this. Joker denies Maruki's reality, right? Then Akechi shouldn't be here in that case.
But here's the thing. Joker denies this, but Akechi is still here. So with no one really realizing, this Akechi right here is our Akechi.
Yes! I'm glad that you pointed this out, because a lot of people think Akechi here is fake, when he's actually real.
@@Moda-pf8wt except he disappears when the palace gets shut down, along with all the other fakes
@@Jack_Frost526 He should have disappeared once Joker refused to accept it, but he didn't. Also, the true ending hints at his survival.
Moda1106 well actually In the true ending he’s alive
Adachi wasn't as powerful as Maruki though. Maruki can literally warp the real world from head to toes.
@@stingerredshock3418 to be fair though Maruki isn't really supposed to be scary, just an opponent that is hard to deal with.
So cendrillon is based on the fairytale Cinderella, at the end of her defeat. They way she references to bell tolls and midnight
Plus, before the battle begins, she says "I don’t want to go back to my life in cinders", referencing the fact that she was essentially used as a slave by her mother and step-sisters in her house and was called "Cinderella" because of how often she'd be covered in cinders after cleaning the fireplace.
Cendrillon is the name of Cinderella in French. So yeah...
AlexTheRed1985 Oh, that’s why she's called that. I thought it was just some strange thing with copyright that meant they couldn’t use "Cinderella". I suppose it does make more sense to use her original name.

All of that… because of terrible circumstances beyond his control. Not to mention his research being unaccepted by academia out of nowhere, just when he was making progress (that moment was within someone else’s control, a certain bald man).

As much as it gave Sumi time, that actualization had a very dangerous side effect:
If that person needs to grieve, they can’t grieve because they literally can’t remember.

Also, if Doc were a good counselor, he’d give Sumi the chance to answer one month after the truth was revealed.

Also, if this scene was inproved in anime form (if done right), Joker, in a unusual fit of rage, would try to rush at Maruki.

The fight between Ren and Sumire really just hurts me every time I attack, especially when she says stuff in that desperate tone......
Especially the fact that you can see from her face that she was emotionally and mentally broken
Ill apologize for the long comment but....to confirman this was one of the heartbreaking fights than there was
Ren was jsut fresh from the last encounters way back since the palace of Shido and the aftermaths.

He's essentially forcing people to live a lie, the truth hurts but you need to face it or you'll never truly move on.

I think Maruki is the best villain in the game. He’s the only palace ruler (except for Futaba) that isn’t completely evil and is actually sympathetic.
is he really a villain though?
Sae was also a sympathetic palace ruler.
Ryuji coming in with the clutch was the best part of this fight.
Sumire: I will stop you.
My Joker with Satanael, Yoshitsune, I-N-O Picaro: Wanna bet?
When i was up to this boss fight i was just laughing that Kasumi thought she'd win against Joker and Akechi in a fight, Akechi knew he would destroy so he didn't fight because she definitely would of died
That's why he opted out of the fight. He knew that Joker doesn't want her dead, so he left it up to Joker.
Especially since he revived both Wakaba, and Haru's father
That's the idea. He prioritizes removing pain above all else. He realized if he brought Kasumi back to life, Sumire would once again constantly feel inferior, which would cause her a great deal of pain.
Remember that his desires have become distorted, which led him to his destructive idea of salvation.
We got Jesus cross tentacle hentai scene-
Futaba's Awakening: am I a joke to you?
Futaba awakening didn’t have jesus
ah yes, my favourite game Persons 5
Man Ryuji's entrance is so fucking badass, the way Rivers in the Desert starts playing again as the camera pans up from the bottom.
First time in this fight I was with an Arsene with Swords Dance so we basically had a mirror match that made me very sad.
I love that when joker fights with akechi alone, the soundtrack has no lyrics, and when the rest of the phantom thieves joined the fight, the lyrics came back
Loved that fight. Can’t wait to see more from you!👀
You could tell even for a boss fight that joker was holding back the entire time he could have easily defeated her right then and there but he didn’t because he wanted her to realize living in this reality is running from the truth

...This part irked me when I got to it. Something didn't feel right about how he went about it all. Made me feel like he was more trying to guilt-trip Joker rather than try to help.
And honestly, that was the feeling I got from him from the moment the third semester began, to the point where I legitimately think the only reason he didn't overwrite Joker's cognition was because he wanted Joker to admit he's right, and now whenever I see that moment I can't help but think "You're exacerbating her issues, some of which you outright caused, to prove a point?"
...So, at the end of it all, I think I actually kinda hated him.
Tbh I thought that Kasumi would be the one to break Joker out the matrix but Joker managed again on his own. that's the wild card of rebellion for you
the way she said doctor was weird
I hated it when maruki forcefully took control of sumires persona he send he wasn’t hurting anyone but he clearly was and by the way why didn’t he help the new mementos requests
The stuff Maruki did to Sumire and the things she went through because of his “help” will cement him in my mind as a villain.
You don’t just do that to people, let alone a suicidally depressed teenager.
They why for the mementos request, the group theorized that he couldn’t change everyone’s lives right away and needed time to take full control on the deadline
@@jj_grabes he was taking over her persona and was clearly hurting her if she said maruki please help before he did it it would work better
@@jj_grabes He probably thought Sumire really wanted to beat Joker and the gang and gave her a power boost
This and his dismissal of Akechi's feelings regarding his own death really cemented Maruki as a villain to me.
So the extra content in the royal is basically Maruki taking notes from Maki.
About time someone mentioned Persona 1.
Oh man... the desperation in Kasumi/Sumire during the fight.
Seeing akechi (crow) helping the phantom thieves makes me want to see him more 😞
Turns out putting a round through a God's head with your friends. Makes a bond that no forces could change.
Sumire : Please...don't try to stop me
*Akechi turns to Joker *
Akechi : Nah , not my problem. Hey dude , I leave this on you since she is your girlfriend
Joker : wait wha
Akechi : Also make sure you give her a VERY GOOD Time all right?
Joker : Nani
Also Joker : I guess I prefer Sumire long hair instead of Ponytail.
Oh wait spoiler alert for those who haven’t reached or didn’t own it do not watch this video comeback when you already finished it
No need for me. I already finished JP version
I feel like this might be overlooked but even though this is maruki’s palace ,he isn’t a shadow like the other rulers
Other than the previous final boss
No wonder it's the research lab of sorrow I nearly cried 5 times.
The despair that she act looks like Xion to me.
who?
@@dniwetamp In Kingdom Hearts 3...
@@enricofamoso3116 don't remember any xion
Watch it, then.
Avenge your.....
your bed.
xion? who? i don't remember her from kh, only roxas and axel.
I love the concept of her will of rebellion being used against since her will of rebellion is refusing to be Sumire.
i hope the creators will make a Persona 5 Royal Anime soon
If it did, it would be the story of the Leader, the Traitor, and the Rejector.
They will. It’s bound to happen at some point. I doubt it’ll be great though
Alibaba
I know. A-1 is definitely known for going less than required quotas in adaptations.
Especially game adaptations.
Alibaba
There is something I’d like to add in the adaptation.
Plus a flashback/album of the Yoshizawa siblings when they were still practicing or when they were kids.
lets just hope its better than the base anime
Jesus. That was freaking messed up.
6:52 I’ve seen enough hentai to know where this is going
