How to know suitable light for my planted aquarium. and we can use a flat LED light for planted aquarium. We can use that light to how to use how kind of light use. Please make a video sir❤❤❤❤❤
Little bit different style for this video. More narrative. There was building work going on constantly and couldn't get on with keep waiting for gaps. Let me know if you like this style or the usual. 👍👍
Great video MD! Really fun concept. Would be interesting to see you take on something conceptual every now and again for something different. A pair of Apistogramma would look fantastic in there.
Just a little tip: if you gently heat a plastic toothbrush with your heatgun or over a gas hob and then bend it back on itself, you'll find it makes it easier to use it to clean the corners of the tanks.
Nice to see that even you still have to experiment a bit 🙂. I have this unopened LEGO Pyramid set sitting in a corner, for a big tank with lot's of sand. The idea is still a bit rough around the edges ;-)
Tbh, my 9g nano is the least fiddly of all my tanks - after it went through its diatom explosion & finally cycled. Everything's happy with just some plants & an airstone. I've only done 3 small water changes on it over its 8 month lifespan so far.
Ever since I found your channel, I have been hopelessly addicted to watching more. I wish that I could have a little shrimp tank like this on my desk. I just don’t know if I can do it. Thank you for bringing little shrimpy joys to my day. Love your videos. Hello from Seattle, Washington.
Go for it! You might make mistakes along the way but we all do, it's how most of us have learned. A nano tank where you work is a great idea, I have one, it's great. Good luck, enjoy the process.
You can do it! If you're new to aquariums, learn about the nitrogen cycle, and get a water testing kit (test for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, and PH if you wanna be thorough). Once your tank is cycled, and you don't overfeed your shrimp, there's basically nothing to worry about. Just do water changes when nitrates get high. Good luck!
This is kinda what i want to make as my “first” tank. I love shrimps and snails, they are so so cool. I might be adding 1 or 2 fishes just because, but the key will be plants, shrimps and snails
I’ve been following your channel for 2 years. Over that time I’ve created 5 good size tanks using your advice. Recently I’ve been using matrix as a bottom level substrate and it has shown to improve everything 10 fold
When I first got into fish keeping I watched multiple of ur videos everyday I was addicted. Started watching again here and there and it's making me wanna rip my tanks apart and rescape lol
Oh my gosh, that tank looked so beautiful when finished! Creating height in the back made it look so much larger. Also, I laughed when you mentioned buying the tank when your wife was gone, my husband said no more tanks and I did the same thing 😂. He left and I thought well, if it’s already set up when he gets home he can’t tell me to take it down..🤣
Cool! Coincidentally I set up a Supafish Scaper 15 (about 6liters once everything is in it!) shrimp and snail tank last week. It sits on my desk (I work from home). It’s a total joy. I’ll be breeding for my main tank whose inhabitants will happily eat baby shrimp and baby snails - hence I need a breeding tank to make more, and grow them past the point of being fish food. It’s very ‘MD’ inspired (nutribase, aqua soil, sand etc). The great thing about it is that I looks fully planted with a small piece of spider wood and a bit of moabo (or something!) wood, a few pebbles and a tiny amount of gravel (kindly donated by my big aquarium) about 9 plants/pots. It’s a cheap way to get a ‘pro’ looking aquascape. And it’s super fun to look at and takes 10mins maintenance a week (which I can do whilst at work!). Recommend it to anyone!!
I have neos in all my tanks and they've all bred like crazy eventually to the natural brown type but like u said i love them all :) i think they're my favorite aspect of my tanks
Thank you for staying consistent on uploading videos for us ! I can’t get enough of watching your videos ! I binge watch them as if they were a Netflix show ! Amazing work! Keep it up !
I think I may do this for my desk. I have everything I need in my supply closet but never thought to put it all together like this. Thanks for sharing this ❤
Such a amazing and scale tank, I love it!, I really want to see an update of this tank because the plants would grow a lot more and make it look more wild, and the fake "moss" will also look more realistic too! looking forward to your next video!
It was watching one of your older shrimp tanks that got me into the channel ages and ages ago now! So was nice to see you do a new nano tank for them. Love the hobbit style!
Wish I could have your set up. Would be awesome to have you come here to give my Oscar's the scaped aquarium home. Wish I had access to all these plants and aquariums
How to know suitable light for my planted aquarium. and we can use a flat LED light for planted aquarium. We can use that light to how to use how kind of light use. Please make a video sir❤❤❤❤❤❤
plant cells have a structure such that they orient themselves vertically - the heavy bit at the bottom so they can grow up or down depending on their function. It is a fascinating subject and I encourage any plant grower to read "Botany for Gardeners" Capon (2022). The RHS do a similar book but I haven't read that one.
It amazes me how high you stack the various substrates at the back. Unless, you make provisions, such as a sealed rock wall, then surely gravity will take over. Then most of the back grains will make their way down towards the front and level out. There used to be all sorts of guys on the net who used to come up with ideas to combat this happening, and to a degree this has worked for me using old credit cards to terrace small shallower runs. Obviously, once planted out it doesn't show. But deeper spots are more difficult to control the force of gravity. By the way, how is the automatic feeder fairing?
hey MD - i love these little tanks and especially thr low tech and vase shrimp setups. i have a question about heaters. you have a heatd room but what should we do if we dont? please teach me :)
thank you for scaling your builds back lately, these smaller builds are more easily to access and replicate for us, just remember to keep talking about safe and responsible pet keeping for new people that look to you for that knowledge.
Love this video, thank you for making it. Please make more! Also, where did you find your planting tweasers and pruning scissors at 11:19 in the video?
Did I miss the size of the tank? Just curious because I want to do something similar in my living room. Always love your videos and thank you for getting me back into this hobby :)
Hello! How do you manage to keep the nano aquariums without heating up the water? I have 20 degrees in my room and I wish to have an aquarium, but most od the plants and fish I reaserched need the 22 degrees. Thank you for answering!
For the substrate should I put everything like in the video because in my country is hard to find these substrates, what can I put for my substrate for no filter tank ?
Started a 6.5 Gal Tetra/shrimp tank a week ago, planted well with plant substrate, monitoring every day and still no sign of amonia or any trite/trates. I have one guppy, one jumped!☹ and 5 Neons, no shrimp yet. Should I be alarmed over the non-existant cycle? First day I put in one dose of ammonia and one dose of Quick Start, but it didn't even register.

Video 56 of asking for a tank with some freshwater dolphinfish please.
Where do you get your pool filter sand? I have tried a few now but doesn't seem to look as nice as the one you use.
Little bit different style for this video. More narrative. There was building work going on constantly and couldn't get on with keep waiting for gaps. Let me know if you like this style or the usual. 👍👍
I think I like the old stype a bit more because it is a bit more interactive when you speak to the camera, but they both are really entertaining!
Was a great video, maybe this way wouldn’t work with all videos/builds, but this was great.
Nice to see that even you still have to experiment a bit 🙂. I have this unopened LEGO Pyramid set sitting in a corner, for a big tank with lot's of sand. The idea is still a bit rough around the edges ;-)
Most of us love nano because that's the only viable option with the space we have ❤
Tbh, my 9g nano is the least fiddly of all my tanks - after it went through its diatom explosion & finally cycled. Everything's happy with just some plants & an airstone. I've only done 3 small water changes on it over its 8 month lifespan so far.
Retro MD video. Very refreshing on a Friday morning. Love it.
Finally!
There’s not enough shrimp content on RUclips 😆 🦐

I felt the same as you. Now I have a beautiful nano on my shelf. You can do it!

I have just started my first shrimp tank... but thanks to this video, I now have inspiration for the next shrimp tank. Lol
When I first got into fish keeping I watched multiple of ur videos everyday I was addicted. Started watching again here and there and it's making me wanna rip my tanks apart and rescape lol
Looks great! Greetings from New Zealand, middle earth

I've never had shrimp before, but this is adorable; really tempting!
beautiful but simple setup! love this! now i'm motivated to build another shrimp tank! thanks for this video
I think I may do this for my desk. I have everything I need in my supply closet but never thought to put it all together like this. Thanks for sharing this ❤
A big pleco shire would be pretty awesome
A Shrimp Shire! It looks wonderful! Thanks for sharing😊
Adorable & inspiring!
What an excellent idea for a nano tank MD. I'm loving the use of that decor! Your videos have always inspired me 🙂
It's almost at desperate levels now!! i NEED to see your Marine Tank please!!
Love it, probably my favourite video of yours in a while! Love nano tanks, love shrimp 👏
Watched it twice now, love the vid.
Great shrimp scape! Very cute 🦐
WOW! Nioce. Amazing, no snails added. Not even 2 or 3 pond snails.
This was super creative
Very nice. I did something similar few months back, and it was focused on Hobbit Houses. I called it The Lord of the Shrimp ;)
Love this! Its nice to see how to make smaller tanks for like an apartment or work desk
I love these little nano builds
I'm definitely making myself a tiny shrimp tank!
Such a amazing and scale tank, I love it!, I really want to see an update of this tank because the plants would grow a lot more and make it look more wild, and the fake "moss" will also look more realistic too! looking forward to your next video!
Very cool setup. It would be cool to see a larger version. Thanks for another great video.
It was watching one of your older shrimp tanks that got me into the channel ages and ages ago now! So was nice to see you do a new nano tank for them. Love the hobbit style!
What a creative little tank. I enjoyed watching your process of experimentation!
White vinegar spritzed onto paper towels on the sides is the way. Soak until it dries, spritz again and wipe it off.
Love this tank
Yes! Finally a shrimp tank.
Now hoping the upcoming tanks will be for goldfish.
I miss the old videos of your goldfish journey.
tank............. goldfish. 😑
Very Beautiful setup. I will definitely try it. Thank you @MD Fish Tank
Really cool . Enjoyed this video alot 😁
Great vid as always, and it gave me a idea, those rocks ,could be used to make a Stonehenge!
gona try that in my shrimp tank.
Best regards Anders, Swe
The quality on your tanks and your videos always blows me away. Absolutely unreal keeper 🫶🏻
You never run out of ideas
MD my man you never seize to amaze 🎉
Great tank bit different love it.
maybe try some flame moss if you enjoy the vertical growth, love the video!
This is great love it😊
Love this md xxx
You found a gap to fill! like you need any more tanks 🤣🤪. Nice to see smaller scapes not everyone has the room for bigger tanks. 👍👍
Hoping to see more shrimp videos! I love them so much
I'm actually setting up a 3,5 gallon vase for my shrimp
What I’ve been waiting for, give us update on this. I have a free 15l tank right now 🎉😀
Wish I could have your set up. Would be awesome to have you come here to give my Oscar's the scaped aquarium home. Wish I had access to all these plants and aquariums
Love!
Love this Idea! Thanks you!
More of these vids please 👍🏻
So cute
These nano tanks, make me wanna get one
It's beautiful 😍
Nice tank md
That's cute.
Very nice 😁💪
Love love love
How to know suitable light for my planted aquarium.
and we can use a flat LED light for planted aquarium. We can use that light to how to use how kind of light use. Please make a video sir❤❤❤❤❤❤
Really like this scape, and something about those caves grabs me. Just waiting for some big eyed monster to poke it's head out. lol

Very nice!🩷
Very nice, amazing what can be done in such a small tank :)
Awesome video
great video
To continue your superfish complete setup series you should do a scape in the superfish home 8 tank
I think there's a baby snail in the pearl weed at 13:13, so the Shrimp-Hobbits got a pet.
you should look into recreating famous movies landscapes. Like star wars Tatooine, The moon of Endor or Avatar Pandora

My wife loves when I buy tanks while she’s away.
I’ve never been so early!!
what's a good us alternative to nutribase?
There is a guy that made nano shrimp tank called Lord of the Shrimp :D Very similar idea and really looked like Shire! Check him out!
Haha! It was mine :D I'm glad you liked it!
Very nice! A question, how do you prevent cyanobacteria when using a lot of sand?
Like it 👍
hey MD - i love these little tanks and especially thr low tech and vase shrimp setups. i have a question about heaters. you have a heatd room but what should we do if we dont? please teach me :)

Nice shrubbery!
We need a saltwater tank update 🙂
Did I miss the size of the tank? Just curious because I want to do something similar in my living room. Always love your videos and thank you for getting me back into this hobby :)

What is the second carpeting plant you are planting quickly after the montecarlo, before the moss?
What size tank is that?
Keeping Fish Simple did the mixed neocardina shrimp test - no they didn't go brown
So cute 😊
can i just ask where can i get shrimp for cheap?? every shop i go to its like £10 for 3 or something. and id love a good 5 at least to start with.
The glu dont hurt the beasts? Grt ben from Belgium.
I challenge you to make Mordor using nothing but black beard algi and rocks.
For the substrate should I put everything like in the video because in my country is hard to find these substrates, what can I put for my substrate for no filter tank ?

What about heating the tank? What temp do the shrimp need?
