Hey Just so you know. It looks like Polygon changed this. I just bought one of these bikes and there are 2 cable ports on the derailer port side and they removed the bottle cage mount on the seat tube to allow deeper insertion of dropper post.
@@RunBikeMike I bought the c3. It’s in the updated color same as yours. I guess it could be the older frame with new paint. The only thing is it looks like the dropper port doesn’t have a plastic tube that leads to the seat tube on the inside so I think you still need to pull it up from the bottom bracket
@@WDannyboy I would be super happy if your frame is the newest version. As it doesn’t make since for them to not have it. Fingers crossed yours is newer. Either way you have a nice easy way to get that dropper installed. I am interested in if you also have a 27.2mm seatpost.
@@RunBikeMike I’ll measure when I get a chance. I do like that they added the extra hole but it’s too bad they don’t have the tubing on the inside to the seat post
I enjoy watching your videos. They are simple and you break everything down very well. Also, did you live in the Milwaukee area at some point? I feel like I know you in some way.
@RunBikeMike I grew up, and live in Wauwatosa. For some reason, I had a feeling I may have worked with you at some point. I've been a subscriber for probably 2 years?
I used a bearing press. I have a headset press I added some large washers to help push the bearings back in. But this tool is what you should use. amzn.to/3DY2dFA

I would have done the same mod myself. After riding with a dropper post, I don't think I would ever not have one on any mtn bike or gravel bike.
You did it Mike! I knew there was a way, great work!! I'll do the same thing on mine, thanks a lot for the video!
It's not damaging the frame so I see no reason it would void the warrantee. Nice work on this. Very cool!
I hope that is the case if I ever have to use the warranty.
Very interesting.... I feel like dropper ports/access should be a must now days. Bike is look8ng sharp man! 😊
Very nice! Your videos keep getting better. Great work!

They had a frame that was like that a year or two ago. And some of those frame are still out there. What model did you buy. The c2,3 or 5?

@@RunBikeMike still 27.2 but atleast on the small frame it has a max insert depth of 240mm not sure if thats better or worse than the frame you have
It looks real good! What’s the weight after seatdropper installed?

I did live in that area. More in the waukesha area. But I was 6 years old. So it was a very long time ago.
